Chapter 32 Getting Married

It was the first time for the bride to get married officially, and it was also the first time for the bride to pick up the groom.

Early in the morning, the aunts from next door came and brought a white-haired old lady to help her dress up.

"One comb combs all the way through, two combs comb white hair to eyebrows, three combs comb a house full of children and grandchildren, and four combs comb four silver bamboo shoots to make them even."

Then, she began to put on makeup. The little girl's bun became a bride's bun, her hair was high and she pinned red silk flowers on it. She also put on the engagement headpiece that Amu had given her, and then she looked at the person in the mirror.

Her face is like a lotus, her eyebrows are like willows, her eyes are beautiful and her cheeks are smiling. She has an elegant, gentle and quiet temperament.

"Oh, Linlang is so beautiful, she is the most beautiful bride."

Everyone was stunned and felt very strange. They were the ones who did Linlang's makeup last time, but why wasn't it as stunning as this time?

It felt as if Linlang had become a completely different person.

Linlang looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, "I accept all the compliments from the aunts. After all, I'm the bride today. They say a bride's day is the most beautiful, and it really is."

This prompted a round of teasing from the other aunts, who said they were envious of her for marrying such a handsome man. After a while, they grabbed their round fans and headed to the other courtyard to fetch Ah Mu.

Linlang was helped into the bridal sedan chair, with a wedding band in front of her, and the wedding procession set off in a grand procession.

This side of the villa was decorated with red silk everywhere, hung with red lanterns, and pasted with joyous double happiness patterns.

After the nightmare, Ah Mu barely slept. He got up at daybreak to wash and get ready. He was going to be a husband today, and he felt nervous, excited, and full of anticipation.

He was alive, and would soon marry Linlang, becoming her husband and the father of her child. In this life, he would accompany and protect mother and child.

After changing into the wedding dress and looking at his radiant self in the mirror, Amu mentally cheered himself up like Linlang: Come on, Amu.

Congratulations, Amu, you are finally going to be a husband.

After Mo'er got up and washed up, Su Jinyao came in with a box. "I didn't expect that I didn't have the chance to send a wedding to my sister, but I actually got to send a wedding to my brother. Here, this is my dowry gift."

"Thank you for the expense, Mr. Su Si." Amu accepted it. He would repay the brotherhood slowly in the future.

Su Jinyao patted his shoulder and said, "If you are my brother, don't say thank you. Don't say thank you. People are in high spirits when they are happy. You are more handsome today than yesterday."

"I think so too." Amu was not modest at all. He was indeed the most handsome and good-looking groom today.

Mo'er tilted her head and looked at Amu, praising him sincerely, "Brother-in-law looks good every day, and he looks even better today."

Su Jinyao rubbed Mo'er's little face and said, "Okay, stop bragging here. I can already hear the suona music. Hurry up and get ready. Our sister is here to pick up the groom."

When Amu heard the joy getting closer, his heart tightened. He quickly tidied up his wedding dress and hat, and sat quietly on a stool beside him.

Su Jinyao and Mo'er looked at each other and the next one was dominated by his wife.

At the gate of the villa, Linlang was helped down from the bridal sedan. Nanny Li was standing at the gate to greet her and took her into the villa. After paying her respects to Mrs. Song, she went directly to the courtyard where Amu lived.

Seeing Linlang after putting on makeup, Su Jinyao and Mo'er were amazed. They originally wanted to stop her and embarrass her, but they immediately gave up. They stepped aside and invited her in.

"Thank you." Linlang bowed and came to the door, "Amu, I'm here to pick you up."

After she parted the beaded curtain and walked in, Linlang saw a handsome young man sitting on a stool. "Amu, I'm here to take you home."

Amu watched Linlang walk in without blinking. Her bright red wedding dress made her skin look like cream and she looked beautiful and graceful.

He stood up and took Linlang's outstretched hand, "Linlang, you look so beautiful today."

Hearing Su Jinyao and Mo'er's snickering, Linlang said shyly, "Let's talk about it when we get back."

"good."

Linlang handed the other end of the red silk to Amu and said, "Let's go."

The two walked out of the yard side by side and said goodbye to Song. Amu helped Linlang get into the bridal sedan before he mounted the tall horse with a red silk ribbon on top.

Su Jinyao carried Mo'er on horseback and sent Amu to Rong's house.

Linlang sat in the sedan chair, occasionally secretly lifting the curtain to look at the tall figure on horseback.

When they reached a wide road, Amu rode his horse and followed beside the sedan chair. Although he was marrying into Linlang's family, Linlang had to give him respect. No one was superior to the other, and they walked side by side.

As the team entered the town, children immediately surrounded them and ran beside them. Linlang asked people to take out candies and distribute them to the children.

They soon arrived at Rong's house. Rong Yi had already prepared firecrackers, and as soon as the team arrived, they started setting them off with a crackling sound.

The process is not that complicated for an ordinary family. Linlang was led down from the sedan chair by Amu, and the two walked into the yard side by side. Rong Bowen, wearing new clothes, sat upright in the main seat.

The two walked in holding red silk, knelt on the cushion that had been prepared long ago, bowed to heaven and earth, bowed to their parents, and then bowed to each other as husband and wife, and were escorted to the bridal chamber.

"Oh, sent to the bridal chamber."

"Let's make a fuss in the bridal chamber!"

Behind them came a group of children who had come to the wedding to enjoy the feast, and they were about to join in the fun. The feast was still a little while away, and a woman, carrying a child, joined in the fun.

These people knew the rules very well and would not enter the bridal chamber without permission. They gathered at the door and watched the two of them drink the Hekan wine.

Hekan wine is rice wine, packed in a small and cute gourd. Under the guidance of Aunt Liu, Linlang and Amu put their arms around each other and drank the Hekan wine.

Next, Aunt Liu handed them over, and they each cut a small lock of hair, which Linlang braided herself, and they became husband and wife, with no doubts about their love for each other.
