Su Xiaoxiao didn't know where Nangong Yi was taking her, but she didn't ask. She just sat quietly beside him, watching the scenery rushing past the car window.
The car veered further and further off course, and Su Xiaoxiao frowned in confusion when she noticed that he had suddenly driven onto the highway.
Where are we going?
"Scared?"
Nangong Yi quickly turned around and glanced at her, the meaningful smile on his lips deepening at that moment.

Nangong Yi's smile deepened, and he became increasingly convinced that bringing her out was the right thing to do.
As their car exited at a small fork in the highway ahead, Su Xiaoxiao seemed to have guessed their destination. After rolling down the window, she rested her arms on the window frame, watching the scenery flash by with a satisfied expression.
"Nangong Yi, are we going to the riverside?"

"Xiaoxiao, do you like it here?"
"like!"
Su Xiaoxiao nodded without hesitation. Looking at the shimmering sea, the longing in her eyes became even more pronounced.
"Nangong, shall we go play on the beach?"
"good!"
Nangong Yi could tell that Su Xiaoxiao really liked this place, and his original concerns completely disappeared.
However, just as the two were about to leave, Nangong Yi's phone rang, spoiling the moment.
When he saw that the call was from Dong Jinyang, he had no choice but to let Su Xiaoxiao go first.
