At the hospital.
When Nangong Yi returned to the hospital, Su Xiaoxiao had just woken up. Huangfu Junhao was standing by her bedside with the test results, explaining her condition to her.
Su Xiaoxiao knew that she was in the wrong this time. If she had come to the hospital for a check-up with Nangong Yi earlier, perhaps she wouldn't have had to endure so much pain.

Huangfu Junhao wasn't angry at all. He knew very well how much Nangong Yi cared about Su Xiaoxiao, so he naturally wouldn't joke about something like this.
After making those gloating remarks, he quickly left the ward before Nangong Yi could explode.
Looking at his wife's rosy cheeks, Nangong Yi's worries lessened. As he sat down by the bedside, the tenderness in his eyes deepened.
"Does it still hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt anymore."
Su Xiaoxiao carefully sat up from the hospital bed. As she gently leaned into Nangong Yi's arms, she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist and pressed her ear against his body, listening to his regular heartbeat. She gradually calmed down.
Her surgical wound was still a little uncomfortable, but she felt exceptionally safe and secure by his side.
"I'm sorry for making you worry."
"You're not allowed to hide away and suffer this pain alone anymore, understand?" Nangong Yi didn't blame her. He looked down at the little woman in his arms and hugged her even tighter with heartache.
“I just went to the Su family and I’ve done my part to vent your anger. Now I’ll leave the rest to your brother. I’m sure we’ll have a result soon.”

Nangong Yi didn't hide anything and explained the whole story to his young wife.
Su Xiaoxiao simply nodded, showing not a shred of sympathy for their family.
"Your brother should send good news later."
"Um."
Su Xiaoxiao knew Shan Jinxi's methods very well. Now that he had begun his operation, he would not give them any room to escape.
Nangong Yi lowered his head and kissed her forehead, his expression becoming complicated as he looked at Su Xiaoxiao.
"Xiaoxiao, there's something I want to make clear to you beforehand!"
"What's wrong?"
Su Xiaoxiao didn't know what Nangong Yi was going to say, but when she noticed the heaviness in his tone, she wanted to get up and listen to him speak properly, but he hugged her even tighter.
