Chapter Eleven: Feeling Like a Punch Bag

Su Xiaoxiao was enjoying the show when, unexpectedly, Nangong Yi delivered a powerful spinning kick that snapped the chain of the sandbag, sending it flying straight toward the door.

"ah--"

Startled by the scene before her, Su Xiaoxiao immediately collapsed to the ground, her eyes tightly shut.

Nangong Yi never expected anyone to be peeping outside the door. When he opened the door and saw Su Xiaoxiao sitting on the floor with a pale face, a fierce look instantly appeared in his eyes.

"Su Xiaoxiao, who gave you permission to be here!"

They tried to steal a chicken but ended up losing the rice instead!

Su Xiaoxiao finally understood the true meaning of those words.

Looking at Nangong Yi's extremely cold and icy face, she timidly pointed to the kitchen not far behind her and said, still shaken, "Your servants treat me like a venomous snake or a ferocious beast, so I have to come down to the kitchen to find something to eat when no one is around at night."

"Gurgle gurgle—"

As soon as Su Xiaoxiao finished speaking, her stomach immediately growled in agreement.

However, Nangong Yi did not believe her explanation at all, and the cold and fierce look in his eyes was directed at her.

"I...I'm really hungry."

Su Xiaoxiao sat frozen on the ground, completely at a loss for what to do.

"Gurgle gurgle—"

"Please stop yelling!"

Su Xiaoxiao had just eaten two large tomatoes, thinking that should be enough to fill her stomach, but her stomach was still growling.

She looked up at Nangong Yi's face, which was cold enough to freeze someone to death, swallowed nervously, awkwardly moved her little bottom back a bit, and then quickly stood up while holding onto the wall.

"Nangong Yi, let's talk this out. You just keep working out, and I promise I'll disappear from your sight right away."

As soon as Su Xiaoxiao finished speaking, she turned and ran away.

As a series of loud thuds rang out, Nangong Yi clearly heard her mutterings as she tripped over something.

But soon, all those sounds disappeared.

The house returned to its original silence.

Nangong Yi turned on the light in the living room at this moment. When he saw a chair lying on the ground, he walked over expressionlessly and picked it up.

The refrigerator in the kitchen was still open, and the two ate tomato stems were still on the refrigerator door frame.

Nangong Yi frowned immediately when he thought of Su Xiaoxiao's embarrassed expression when she fell at the gym entrance.

...

The following morning.

Su Xiaoxiao lay listlessly on the bed, looking at the time on her phone. It was the first time in her life that she had experienced hunger, but she just didn't dare to go downstairs for breakfast.

She still clearly remembers the scene of Nangong Yi hitting the punching bag in the gym last night; she even feels like she is that punching bag.

"Young Madam, are you up yet?"

Just as Su Xiaoxiao was lost in thought, the voice of a maid came from the doorway.

She paused, then immediately sat bolt upright in bed.

"I'm up. Is there something you need?"

"Young Madam, the young master invites you downstairs for a meal. You will be returning to the main house to visit the old master later, so please don't take up too much time."

"What?"

Su Xiaoxiao was stunned for a moment, but the servant at the door had already left.

When she finally realized what had happened, she wanted to slap herself hard. "It's all because of this mouth of mine!"

Su Xiaoxiao quickly got up and went to wash up.

However, when she went downstairs and saw Nangong Yi sitting alone at the long table in the living room having breakfast, the scene of him kicking the sandbag away flashed through her mind again, making her shiver involuntarily.
