Chapter Ninety-Seven: Asking her how to punish her

Su Xiaoxiao thought that Nangong Cang would leave immediately after saying a few words, but she didn't expect him to call Nangong Yi upstairs directly.

As she came out of the study, she ran into the maid who had come to clean.

"Give me the things."

Su Xiaoxiao hoped to make amends before Nangong Yi returned, so she quickly told the maid to leave after taking the things from her.

"But Madam, the young master will..."

"If you're afraid of being scolded by Nangong Yi, then just stand aside and watch. I accidentally 'offended' your young master Nangong today, so I have to do something to make amends."

...

More than half an hour later.

Su Xiaoxiao felt uneasy because Nangong Yi hadn't returned from her grandfather's bedroom yet.

She stared longingly at the study door, rehearsing over and over again what she would say to apologize to him later.

Bored with practicing, she began to explore his study.

When she saw the wallet on his desk, she couldn't help but open it and look at the yellowed photo, and she was lost in memories.

She met him for the first time at a banquet when she was eighteen.

Su Xiaoxiao remembered that Nangong Yi attended the event with his grandfather, and the two grandfathers even gave a special introduction for each of them.

However, she had absolutely no interest in the playboy surrounded by butterflies, and she only greeted Nangong Yi politely before making an excuse to leave.

But she had secretly looked at him; however, his mind was always on the group of women surrounding him.

At that time, Su Xiaoxiao decided that she would never marry a playboy like Nangong Yi.

She looked at the spot where she was standing in the photo, but she couldn't remember why she was there at all...

"What are you doing?"

When Nangong Yi returned to his study and saw Su Xiaoxiao holding his wallet, his face instantly turned cold and sullen, but his icy words contained not a trace of anger.

Su Xiaoxiao didn't expect to be caught red-handed. She glanced at the wallet in her hand, then looked at Nangong Yi who was walking towards her. Startled, she quickly hid the wallet behind her back and gave him an embarrassed "hehe" laugh.

What are you holding in your hand?

"No...no!"

Su Xiaoxiao quickly denied it, her little brain working non-stop as she thought of how to respond.

Nangong Yi twitched the corner of his mouth slightly. He had just been caught by his grandfather and given a severe 'lecture' in the bedroom, who said something like he was too fierce to her and wasn't worried about scaring her away.

He had to plead and promise for a long time before his grandfather finally let him go.

Seeing Su Xiaoxiao's panicked state, he couldn't help but tease her, determined to get that 'interest' back first.

"Su Xiaoxiao, did you max out the card I gave you and now you're trying to steal money from my wallet?"

Stealing money!

Who is Su Xiaoxiao? How could she possibly steal money!

But seeing the frightening look in his eyes, she seemed to suddenly remember something. She quickly pulled the money out of his wallet, then pretended to be scared and stretched her hand out from behind her back, saying pitifully, "This is all I took."

"..."

Looking at the several hundred yuan in her hand, Nangong Yi suddenly felt a strong urge to pry open her head and see what was inside.

"I'm sorry, I promise it won't happen again!"

Su Xiaoxiao immediately lowered her head, looking completely guilty for doing something wrong.

After taking the money and wallet from her, Nangong Yi suddenly pulled her into his arms and whispered in her ear, "Xiaoxiao, how do you think I should punish you?"
