Chapter Thirty-Two: He's Mentally Ill

After Nangong Yi began to suspect Su Xiaoxiao, he became even more eager to find evidence to prove her identity. After bringing her to his study, he pointed to the notebook on his desk.

"Use my laptop for now, I'll get you another one later."

"Can I really use it?"

Su Xiaoxiao looked at Nangong Yi with suspicion. He had used two encryption keys when he turned on the computer. It was obvious that this was his office computer, and there might be important company data on it.

Nangong Yi did not answer, but his deep eyes kept observing Su Xiaoxiao, as if trying to see through her.

"Um, I just wanted to look up something online, I promise I won't touch any files on your computer," Su Xiaoxiao quickly clarified, thinking he was about to suspect her of plotting something again.

Nangong Yi raised an eyebrow slightly, locked some important documents in the notebook in front of her, and then left the study.

Su Xiaoxiao was slightly taken aback, but she needed to use it for a while and couldn't finish it all at once. She quickly chased after Nangong Yi as he left the study.

"Nangong Yi, I..."

"There are security cameras in the study. If you dare to mess with my documents, I will not let you off easily when I get back."

Nangong Yi stared into her eyes for a long time before turning around and going downstairs.

Su Xiaoxiao stood there stunned for a while before she came to her senses. She looked at Nangong Yi, who had suddenly left like a gust of wind, and couldn't help but twitch her lips.

"You're insane! Nangong Yi, you're absolutely insane! You installed surveillance cameras in the bedroom, you installed them in the study, do you have cameras in every corner of this house?"

Su Xiaoxiao stood at the door of the study, suddenly feeling like she was caught in a dilemma.

If Nangong Yi could see his chat partner through the surveillance footage, wouldn't he start to doubt his own identity?

Thinking this, Su Xiaoxiao immediately ran to the bedroom and took out a small blanket. After re-entering the study, she immediately closed the door.

She then covered herself and the laptop on her desk with a blanket to prevent the monitor from seeing the contents of the computer screen.

Su Xiaoxiao quickly logged into her email, which was the only contact information she had with that person.

The first password for the email was her birthday, the second was the date he left the city, and the third was a password to verify the image.

After each conversation, the person would give her a new password to unlock the image, preventing anyone from peeking at the contents of her computer.

When Su Xiaoxiao successfully unlocked the password and entered her email, she thought there would only be one email at most. But when she saw several emails pop up, she could no longer hold back her tears.

But fearing the surveillance cameras would hear his voice, he bit his lower lip and opened each package one by one to read it.

The first letter was sent before she died.

The first thing he said was to ask her how she was doing, what kind of birthday gift she wanted to prepare for her grandfather, and whether she wanted to come over herself.

The second letter was on the day she passed away.

The email was filled with disbelief. He asked if she was lying to him, and begged her not to play such a terrifying joke on him. He said that without her, his world would be nothing but endless darkness...

The third letter was sent on the afternoon she passed away.

The email was filled with all the little things that had happened between the two of them since they met...

The fourth, fifth, and all the way to the tenth letter were filled with his heartache and longing for her.

The last email was sent early this morning.

He said he was already on the plane and he had to come see her one last time, to find out the truth about her condition from those who said she had depression, and about the absurd reason for her suicide...
