After the class, Anran didn't understand a single word and even felt sleepy.
A class lasts for one hour, and there is a 15-minute break after it ends.
Anran sat in her seat, lost in thought. On the rice paper was a small bird she had drawn when she was bored.
As her thoughts drifted, a shadow blocked the light. An Ran looked up at her and asked, "Is something the matter?"
A young woman of similar age looked at her and asked, "What's your name?"
An Ran looked at him without saying a word, fiddling with something in her hand. The young lady said angrily, "Hey, are you mute?"
An Ran still ignored her, and the people around her started to jeer, "Miss Wan, she clearly doesn't respect you. No one in the Imperial Academy has ever dared to treat you like this."
Others nearby began to echo her sentiments. A flash of resentment crossed the face of the girl named Miss Wan, and she raised her hand, ready to slap An Ran.
The people around him were gloating, looking forward to An Ran being beaten.
However, what they imagined did not happen. An Ran gently patted the table, and a force pushed Miss Wan over.
"Miss Wan, are you alright?"
Miss Wan stood up. "You...you actually dared to do something like this! I'll fight you to the death!"
Just as the break time arrived, the teacher came in and stopped the farce.
Anran found studying utterly boring. She had never liked reading since she was little, and the sight of words would make her want to doze off. Finally, when it was time to eat, the teacher called for dinner.
As she got up to leave, she was stopped by the young ladies who had been causing her trouble. "Stop! You think you can just run away after hurting Miss Wan? Who gave you the nerve?"
The other girls in the classroom had already left, afraid of getting involved with that group of girls.
What do you want to do?
An Ran remembered her brother's suggestion to have lunch together that morning, and now she was getting a little impatient.
"What are you doing? Of course, you need to apologize to Miss Wan. Here's what we'll do: kneel down and kowtow to Miss Wan, and we'll let you go."
An Ran then looked at those people properly, a contemptuous smile playing on her lips. "You think you're worthy?"
Provoked by her sarcastic smile, Miss Na Wan retorted, "Su Anran, how dare you!"
An Ran knew these people knew her identity; they were already causing trouble on the very first day, so things were going to get interesting.
An Ran smiled proudly, "I'll be presumptuous, what can you do about it?"
Several men were itching to teach her a lesson when they were interrupted by a cold voice from the doorway.
Anran is gone.
Anran, regaining her obedient demeanor, ran over with small, quick steps, saying, "Brother, let's go eat."
The others, with varying expressions, remained standing there.
One of the baby-faced girls broke the silence, "That's Lord Su's son! He's so handsome."
The others chimed in, "Yeah, she's much prettier than his sister."
If Anran were here, she would definitely say, "Are you blind?"
Miss Wan's eyes clouded over, but she quickly regained her composure. "Let's go eat."
When they arrived, they saw the two people again in the cafeteria. The two people with similar faces were eating and chatting happily.
Miss Wan snorted and ran away. Anzhi put some food on her plate and asked, "What happened?"
An Ran didn't want to trouble her brother with such a small matter, so she shook her head and said, "It's nothing."
While eating, Anzhi suddenly said, "Don't fight."
An Ran nodded obediently, "I know, how could someone as gentle as me get into a fight?"
Anzhi gave her a look, and Anran looked back without any guilt, her face showing nothing but a well-behaved expression.
The two finished their meal under the watchful eyes of others, and then stood up under the same watchful eyes. "Let's go, I'll take you home."
