Chapter 86 Eldest Sister Arrives

After eating and drinking to her heart's content, Liu Huan had some free time and wondered what she should do.

The courtyard that Su Yi bought is a very small siheyuan (traditional courtyard house), just right for the two of them. If the entire Su family came, there wouldn't be enough room.

She thought she should first send someone to look at a larger house in the city, buy some things and furnish it, so that it would be convenient for the Su family to come.

She was also thinking about something else: Shi Tou was not young anymore, and neither was she. She had to plan for herself. What if Shi Tou said he wanted to get married one day? Would she still be able to stay in the Su family when she grew up?

She had been thinking about it all day but still couldn't figure it out, and she almost cried. When Su Yi came back, he saw her in a daze.

"What's wrong?"

Liu Huan shook her head, saying "It's nothing," but she dared not say those things.

Su Yi didn't ask any more questions. He knew she had something on her mind and could guess a little. She needed to figure these things out on her own, or rather, to figure them out herself.

Su Yi nodded, "Now that you're free, why don't you start up those old businesses again?"

Liu Huan shook her head. She didn't know if she could still do as well as before. "I've long forgotten what I used to do."

Su Yi held her hand and said, "I believe you can do it. As long as you're willing, anything is up to you."

Except for never leaving me...

"I want to go back to Qingyang County. I want to go back and see it." Liu Huan looked up, her eyes clear and bright, making it hard to refuse.

Su Yi choked, seeing the look in her eyes almost made him agree.

"No," he said firmly, "I don't trust you to go alone."

As he spoke, his eyes reddened, probably because he was thinking about losing her five years ago.

Liu Huan stopped insisting. She might feel that she was fine, but she didn't dare to take the risk, given the lessons learned from the past.

Liu Huan said gently, "Okay, then I won't go back."

Su Yi restrained himself and gently pulled her hand, smiling slightly, "Okay, I'll go back with you when I have the chance."

“When my brother-in-law left, he said he was coming to the capital to do business. My sister will definitely come too. How about you and my sister come together?”

"Really? That's wonderful!"

Liu Huan's eyes lit up: "I miss my sister, I miss Xiao Shi, I miss my parents, I miss Mian Mian, I miss my older brother and sister-in-law." She said it to everyone.

"Didn't you miss me?" Su Yi asked back.

Liu Huan held his hand and rested her head on his shoulder: "What I want most will always be stone."

Su Yi's heart fluttered. "I'll spend time with you when I'm done with this."

As is customary, he will definitely be sent to a local area for training next year. He will try to return to Suzhou Prefecture and bring her home.

"Um"

Liu Huan ate and slept for a month before welcoming her eldest sister Su Wan and her family.

One afternoon,

Liu Huan was sunbathing in the yard, lost in thought, when she heard an incredulous voice, "Huanhuan, is it really you?"

Liu Huan got up and walked over. The familiar figure made her want to cry instantly. "Big sister."

Su Wan threw down the bundle in her hand and stepped forward to hug her tightly, "Where have you been all these years?"

Liu Huan cried uncontrollably: "I don't know either."

The two sisters hugged and cried for a while, when a chubby little boy next to them objected, "My mother, you can't hug her."

Separate the two from the middle, and they burst into laughter through their tears.

Su Wan took her son's hand and said, "This is your aunt, call her aunt."

The chubby boy tentatively called out, "Auntie!"

Liu Huan touched his face. "What's your name?"

"My name is Guan Yi," the chubby boy said in a childish voice.

Liu Huan picked him up and kissed him. "So cute."

After greeting Guan Chang, he and Su Wan went into the room.

"You mean you've been living in the Prince's mansion all these years?"

Su Wan kept asking her what she had been doing all these years. She couldn't believe it when she heard the answer. It turned out that the younger sister she had been searching for for so long was working as a maid in someone else's house.

He held her and wept bitterly again.

Liu Huan comforted her, "It's alright, sister. The princess treats me very well. If it weren't for the prince, I probably would have died long ago."

Upon hearing this, Su Wan cried even louder, and it took her a long time to stop.

Liu Huan asked, "Sister, do our parents know you're coming up here?"

Su Wan explained in detail: "Your brother-in-law wanted to expand his business to the capital. He went back and immediately told his parents the good news, explained the reason, packed his things, and then we came."

"Is Mrs. Guan willing?"

“My mother-in-law was naturally unwilling. She has been helping to take care of the eldest child all along, and she was still angry when we came.”

The Guan family is also strange; the eldest and second sons took several concubines, but none of them were able to have a son.

Only the third branch of the family had two legitimate sons. The daughter-in-law whom Madam Guan originally looked down upon gave birth to two grandsons for her, and her heart immediately turned towards her.

If it hadn't been for the prior agreement that she would retire at her eldest son's house, she probably would have come to Beijing with him.

“We heard some rumors when we came to the city, all about you. I originally thought that Shi Tou had found someone he liked in the capital.”

"I ran into Changbai on the road just now, I didn't expect everyone was talking about you."

After a moment of reflection, the two left only after Su Yi returned from his shift.

"Big sister, I've already bought your courtyard. You can rest at home today. After you've stayed for a while, I'll take you there."

Su Wan felt relieved, never expecting her younger brother to be so amazing, actually becoming the top scorer in the exam.

She said with relief, "Fortunately, it turned out as you wished."

Su Yi hummed in agreement. Liu Huan, unaware of their conversation, held onto Su Wan's hand tightly.

"Big sister, how about I take you shopping tomorrow?"

Su Wan and her companions were still wearing the clothes they bought in Qingyang County, which made them look a bit out of place in the capital.

"Okay, let's go shopping tomorrow."

After making their appointment, the two ate breakfast and rested early. The next day, they slept until they naturally woke up before changing their clothes and getting ready to go out.

"Sis, why don't you wear this outfit?"

She had just bought that outfit and hadn't worn it yet.

Su Wan shook her head immediately, "I've gained a little weight now, so I'm afraid I can't wear your clothes. It's okay, we can go buy some today."

Changbai escorted the two to the street. Liu Huan, with a clear gaze, put her arm around Su Wan and went into a ready-made clothing store first.

"Sis, this look suits you really, do you want to give it a try?"

Su Wan took one look and saw it was her favorite color. She picked it up and compared it to her own size. "Isn't it too small?"

Liu Huan looked at it seriously and said, "No, it should be very suitable."

There was a special room in the store for customers to change clothes. Liu Huan pushed her in, "Go and try it on quickly."

Su Wan changed her clothes and looked around, asking, "Doesn't this look a little strange?"

"Juanzi, look at this, all sorts of people can come to Yixianju to buy clothes now. Look at how those clothes look on them, tsk tsk tsk."

Su Wan's expression turned somewhat unpleasant upon hearing this.

A graceful woman walked in, and looking at her own slightly bloated appearance after giving birth, she suddenly felt a little inferior.

Liu Huan carefully examined Su Wan's clothes, because her slightly plump figure made them look even more charming.

"Sis, it looks great! Let's take this set; it'll be perfect for wearing."

She ignored Xu Jiuyan, paid the money, and pulled Su Wan away.

Xu Jiuyan's eyes narrowed: "Stop!"
