Chapter 110 They Came to the Door

"Where are my sister and brother-in-law?"

Qiu Rong replied, "When the young lady was outside, those people were simply insane. They knelt on the ground and wouldn't let go of the young lady's skirt. The young master was called out by the young lady early this morning and wasn't allowed to come back."

Qiu Rong had never seen such people before; the whole family was shameless.

Liu Huan asked Qiu Rong to do her makeup and change her into a gorgeous dress before she went out with an air of nonchalance.

She hasn't learned much else in the past few years, but she has picked up a bit of the airs of a master of the royal palace.

"Who is causing trouble here?"

Sun Xiaoju's family turned to her and said, "It's you, Teacher Liu. We were too loud and disturbed you. We had no choice. This girl's innocence has been tarnished. As her parents, we can't bear to see her suffer."

Liu Huan felt nauseous at the sight of that family. "Innocence! Tell me what exactly happened?"

The Sun family assumed Liu Huan was unaware of the situation, so they recounted the story again.

I thought Liu Huan would sympathize with Sun Xiaoju, but she just smiled and said, "You mean, your daughter climbed into my brother-in-law's bed while he was drunk, and was falsely accused even though she didn't do anything?"

Sun Xiaoju's mother bristled and said, "What slander? Teacher Liu has to take responsibility for his words! It was clearly my daughter who was bullied. What do you mean by that?"

Seeing that Liu Huan seemed to be the more difficult one, Sun Xiaoju's sister-in-law turned around and said, "Mother, what do you say to her? My sister's innocence was ruined by the Guan family, so naturally Madam Guan should take responsibility."

Grandma Sun realized what was happening and exclaimed, "That's right!"

Pushing Sun Xiaoju aside, Sun Xiaoju immediately cried to Su Wan, "Madam Guan, no, Madam! My husband and I have already consummated our marriage. If you don't let me in, I'll only have one way out: death."

After crying, he looked up again with ill intent and said, "But before I die, I will definitely drag someone down with me, no matter who it is."

Su Wan hadn't been a nobody in the Guan family all these years, so she wasn't afraid of her words.

“Raise your head.”

Sun Xiaoju raised her head. Her face wasn't unattractive, but it was still the kind of face that would disappear into a crowd.

"You say my husband touched you, where's the proof?"

Sun Xiaoju forced herself to say, "You saw it last night, I was..."

Su Wan interrupted her sharply: "Last night, my husband and I didn't go anywhere. Don't you dare slander the Guan family. Be careful, or I'll go to the yamen and sue you for defamation."

Sun Xiaoju was furious when she heard this. "You...you can't deny it. Many people saw me help my boss up to the third floor."

Liu Huan scoffed, "There are plenty of waiters in the restaurant wearing the same clothes, who would believe you if you said it was you?"

Seeing that her daughter had fallen behind, Sun Xiaoju's mother pointed at Su Wan's nose and said, "My daughter was defiled by your man, and my niece is a witness."

Sun Xiaohua, who had been standing outside for a long time, was in a state of utter confusion and disarray. She still couldn't believe that her cousin would actually do such a thing.

"Little Flower, aren't you coming in?"

The woman shouted at the top of her lungs, and Sun Xiaohua pushed open the door with trembling hands, "Greetings, Madam Liu, Young Madam."

"Xiaohua, they are the villains who harmed your cousin. Why are you bowing to them?" The woman's plump face was full of displeasure, as if she would hit her if she said anything more.

Su Wan asked, "I'm asking you, did Sun Xiaoju secretly plot to seduce the boss?"

Sun Xiaohua was about to speak when her sister-in-law pulled her aside again, saying, "Tell me, was your cousin completely unaware? Last night, your cousin was taken there by your employer."

Sun Xiaohua looked around. Her conscience told her she shouldn't lie, but she was also afraid of her aunt's family.

"I...I don't know."

Sun Xiaoju's mother grabbed her and said, "What don't you know? You say you don't know the facts right in front of you?"

Sun Xiaohua stumbled and almost fell to the ground.

Su Wan was too lazy to watch their act. "Alright, I already know the reason. I won't say any more to you. I've kept the bed from last night. There's no blood on it for your girl. If you dare to slander me again, then we'll see each other at the yamen."

Sun Xiaohua's mother looked regretful; she had forgotten to tell her daughter about this.

"Some women are born without the ability to bleed. My daughter is one of them. Look at the marks on her body. What else could they be but your master's?"

Sun Xiaoju's mother is ruthless; she pinched her many times yesterday.

Su Wan didn't want to deal with them anymore; if they kept talking like this, it would never end.

"I originally wanted to save face for your daughter, but since you don't want to, then go ahead and report it to the authorities. I want to see if your scheme can succeed."

Sun Xiaoju's mother rolled up her sleeves and said, "Hey, do you think we're scared? Where's Guan Chang? Call him out. What kind of man is he if he does something but doesn't dare to admit it?"

A group of people were about to rush in when Changbai led his men to drive them out.

Seeing that it was completely quiet, Liu Huan said, "Sister, you did the right thing. You can't reason with these scoundrels. They're not here to reason or seek justice."

Su Wan lost her earlier toughness and said, "I'm just worried about affecting the restaurant." They recently opened a new branch in another location, and if it gets affected, the losses will be huge.

Liu Huan didn't care: "What's there to be afraid of? If you're upright, you have nothing to fear. It'll even be good advertising for the restaurant. The most important thing right now is to find witnesses and evidence so that she can't gain anything and will be ruined."

"Isn't this too cruel to a woman?" Su Wan was kind-hearted. A woman's reputation was extremely important. If it were ruined, her whole life would be ruined.

Liu Huan knew her concerns and said, "Then let's prepare first. If they give up now, then so be it. But if they insist on making trouble, then don't blame us for not giving them the chance."

Su Wan nodded, realizing that this was the only option. She felt disgusted at the thought of sharing a husband with that person.

If she really has no shame and makes a scene, then we can't blame her.

Liu Huan then asked, "By the way, where's my brother-in-law?"

“I sent him to his uncle’s house to avoid him causing trouble at home. I don’t want to see him these next few days; I want him to calm down on his own.”

Liu Huan agreed: "That works too. If my brother-in-law were home, that family would probably come over every day. Let's close the door to avoid any trouble."

Liu Huan felt a little regretful. What kind of mess was this? He had only wanted to provide job opportunities for women, but he never expected the result to be like this.

It seems that there are some good deeds that we just shouldn't do.

She instructed Changbai: "Changbai, go and keep an eye on the Sun family. Report to me if there's any trouble."

Changbai accepted the order and left. Liu Huan hugged the little Guan Huai and pinched his chubby face, "Baby, what are you eating that makes you so happy?"

Little Guan Huai was happily sucking his thumb, even sharing his shiny, gnawed thumb with Liu Huan, who looked disgusted and said, "Thank you, you can eat it yourself."
