Chapter 62 A Lesson in Life

Upon hearing Jiang Xiaoxin's words, Wu Xuan's mother's face and eyes were filled with undisguised joy.

Before Jiang Wan could answer, she burst into laughter, praising Jiang Xiaoxin in an exaggerated way: "Oh my, our little Xinxin is such a good child. Not only is she beautiful and cute, but she is also so kind-hearted!"

"Wu Xuan, quickly thank your little sister Xinxin!"

As he spoke, he glanced at Jiang Wan, as if waiting for her to bring out the item.

Jiang Wan sneered. How shameless could this person be? Trying to trick a little child into giving her something, and acting like she, the parent, is dead?

Wu Xuan suddenly jumped up from his chair and charged at them like a cannonball, yelling wildly, "Get out of here! Who told you to come! Who wants your stuff? Go! Get out! Get out now!"

But before he could rush over, his mother grabbed him and slapped him across the face.

Jiang Xiaoxin, held protectively in Jiang Wan's arms, stared in disbelief, as if she were frightened. She asked in a daze, "Didn't you call and tell me to come?"

Wu Xuan took the slap, stubbornly remaining silent. Upon hearing this, he scoffed, "You come running just because I called you? Are you a puppy? You think you can just come whenever I beckon?"

He actually called his precious little sister a puppy?!

Jiang Xiaoshu instantly flew into a rage and rushed forward to punch someone, but Yu Fen caught her in a swift grab.

Oh my little darling, your temper is just like someone else's!

Jiang Xiaoxin was stunned. She never expected that her good friend and brother would say such a thing about her!

Did she do something wrong?

No, her good friend was in trouble, and she just wanted to help him!

The teacher said that good children should be helpful and know how to share. She did everything the teacher taught her. She didn't do anything wrong, so where did the problem lie?

Seeing the hurt in the little girl's usually innocent and naive eyes, Jiang Wan felt as if her heart had been stabbed.

Offering help without someone's consent may not be accepted or appreciated by them.

This is a life lesson.

Although Jiang Wan felt sorry for her child, she did not regret teaching her this lesson. It's better for everyone to expose a fake friendship sooner rather than later.

She turned around and glared coldly at Wu Xuan's mother, who had chased after them, still dragging the struggling and shouting Wu Xuan along.

Seeing her stop, both mother and son stopped as well. Wu Xuan struggled to break free from his mother's grasp, turned around, and ran into the house without even glancing at the people outside.

Jiang Xiaoxin stared in the direction he disappeared, her face bewildered, tears welling up in her eyes, threatening to fall, making her look exceptionally pitiful.

Jiang Wan's gaze was icy, and her tone was even colder, "If you ever try to use your son's name to make a move on my daughter and son again, believe me, you'll regret it!"

Yu Fen cooperated fully with her, snapping a wooden stick against the wall in half with his bare hands and throwing it at her feet.

The woman flinched in fright and didn't dare to speak for a long time. By the time she came to her senses, Jiang Wan and the others had already gone downstairs and returned to their car.

Jiang Xiaoxin was emotionally unstable, so Jiang Wan asked Yu Fen to drive while she sat in the back with him.

The little girl was truly heartbroken. She lay on her mother's lap, losing interest even in her favorite candy. She pouted, looking pitiful and silent.

"Is this Wu Xuan his mother's biological son?"

Jiang Wan felt that the girl needed guidance, but since she herself had no experience with friendships, she could only talk to her from an objective perspective.

In any case, in her educational philosophy, she has always treated children like adults and didn't see anything wrong with it.

Jiang Xiaoxin's sadness was indeed diverted. After thinking hard for a moment, she replied, "I don't know."

Then she turned to him and asked, "Brother, do you know?"

Jiang Xiaoshu was peeling an orange and handed her the orange segments, saying, "I don't know either."

Jiang Xiaoxin was sad and didn't want to eat, so Jiang Xiaoshu ate half of it herself and gave the other half to her mother.

"oops!"

Suddenly, the little girl stood up abruptly, waving her tiny fists with a silly grin, declaring, "I never want to play with Wu Xuan again! He's so mean!"

He just called her a puppy!

snort!

He's the dog! His whole family are dogs!

Then, the next second, her little face scrunched up, looking very distressed: "Mommy, I did something wrong, what should I do?"

Jiang Wan and Jiang Xiaoshu immediately straightened up and looked at her.

What silly thing has this little girl (younger sister) done now?

Jiang Xiaoxin didn't dare to look up. She sat properly in her seat, then looked down at her fingers and muttered, "Mom, I just secretly slipped twenty crystal vouchers to Wu Xuan. Mom, I was wrong!"

Jiang Wan raised an eyebrow. Where did this silly girl get the crystal vouchers?

Furthermore, how old is she? She's already learned to secretly side with outsiders behind her parents' backs.

But she refrained from pursuing the matter immediately, and since there were outsiders present, it wasn't appropriate to discipline the child. So she simply nodded coldly and said, "It's enough that you know you were wrong. Just don't do it again."

"Mmm." The little girl answered readily and quickly, carefree, as if she hadn't learned her lesson.

Jiang Wan had a headache and felt once again that educating children was a huge responsibility and a lot of pressure. She suddenly wondered if it was necessary to talk to Cheng Zhen and ask him to take the two children away.

Having moved on from that topic, Jiang Wan was about to ask her about the origin of the crystal voucher.

The simple-minded girl shook her head very seriously, muttering to herself, "No way!"

Jiang Wan raised an eyebrow, her expression strange: "What do you want?"

"I'm going to get the crystal voucher back! He doesn't want our help, so I'm not giving him this money!"

After saying that, she nodded firmly, "Yes! I'm going to get the coupon back! I won't give it to him!"

Jiang Wan suddenly laughed. Who said this child was simple-minded? He's actually quite clever!

Yu Fen, who was driving, hesitated whether to turn around. It was all for twenty coupons, which were given secretly. Whether he could get them back was one thing, but the key point was that it wasn't worth it!

His gaze inadvertently met Jiang Xiaoshu's in the rearview mirror. The little guy, while peeling an orange, calmly turned his head at him, his meaning clear: "Turn around and go back."

His sister's coupons, no matter where they came from, shouldn't be given away to outsiders so easily!

Alright!

Yu Fen turned around swiftly, and the group returned to the apartment building shortly after leaving.

As soon as the car stopped, we heard cursing and whipping sounds coming from upstairs. They sounded familiar; it was Wu Xuan's mother's voice. We couldn't make out what she was cursing, and we didn't hear Wu Xuan's voice at all. There was no crying or fussing.

Jiang Wan frowned. This mother and son were very strange.

She kept the twins in the car and said, "You two stay put, I'm going."

Jiang Xiaoxin originally wanted to go with them, but when she met her mother's warning and displeased look, she immediately sat down obediently and reminded her innocently, "Mom, there are twenty coupons, not one less!"

Jiang Wanshen glanced at her and went back to investigate the origin of her vouchers!

But before she could even get out of the car, Yu Fen reminded her, "Hey, look! That kid's run away!"
