Chapter 120 Han Ming Recognizes His Savior

Lin Xuan used vines to hook onto a dead tree by the roadside and swung herself across.

After being dragged off the car, the intermediate-level zombie tried to shake off the invisible vines wrapped around its neck.

But Lin Xuan is no longer the naive girl she once was; can she be easily rid of?

The intermediate-level zombie scratched its neck furiously. Although it cut a few vines, the vines grew back quickly and wrapped tightly around its neck again.

The zombie tore the skin around its neck apart, but still couldn't break free.

The plants beneath the ice were also controlled by Lin Xuan, bursting out of the ground, entangled the limbs of the intermediate-level zombie, and continuously exploding all over its body.

While they couldn't kill it immediately, they did enrage the zombie.

"Hehehe!" The intermediate-level zombie let out a piercing scream, and countless lower-level zombies and mutated beasts gathered around it, trying to cover its escape.

"Brother, hit it!" Lin Xuan shouted at Xia Feng.

Xia Feng had noticed Lin Xuan's side long ago, after he finished dealing with the zombies around him.

Energy gathered, and a huge ball of lightning condensed above the intermediate-level zombie.

Fearing accidental injury, Lin Xuan quickly withdrew the invisibility vine.

The intermediate-level zombie felt a lightness around its neck as the ropes binding it disappeared. Before it could catch its breath, it was surrounded by lightning balls.

The lightning ball did not explode or spread; it only surrounded the mid-level zombie in the middle and subjected it to a barrage of electric shocks.

The novice zombies and mutated animals caught in the blast were instantly electrocuted into charcoal.

The intermediate-level zombie had thick skin and flesh. It took quite a while for the skin and flesh to separate after being electrocuted, revealing blackened bones. It collapsed to the ground in a large lump.

Fearing that the creature wasn't completely dead, Xia Feng struck its neck with lightning until its head and body separated.

Without the leader of the intermediate-level zombies, the zombie horde that was gathering in this direction slowly dispersed.

The zombies and mutated beasts surrounding the vehicle were no match for them.

The superhumans fought valiantly to kill the low-level zombies and mutated animals surrounding the vehicle.

Lin Xuan also waved her invisible vines to poke the heads of zombies and mutated animals.

She can now poke the brains of novice zombies, and with the help of plant-energy explosive bombs, she fights quite well.

When Han Ming saw Lin Xuan killing zombies through the car window, he suddenly realized something, excitedly pressed his face against the window, and muttered to himself, "It's her, it's actually her."

After the superhumans cleared out all the zombies surrounding the vehicles, they quickly got into the cars, regardless of which team they belonged to, and drove off.

Lin Xuan and Xia Feng then boarded Zhou Xinyi's team's vehicle nearby.

The novice zombies chased the car for a distance before giving up.

Zhou Xinyi only ordered the convoy to stop and rest after it had driven quite a distance.

The survivors at the D City base hadn't even recovered from the shock when the intermediate-level zombie died just like that.

That was a zombie that had unleashed a zombie horde and wiped out the entire D City base, yet it was dealt with in just a few moves.

Is this the power of the superhumans in City A? Terrifyingly so.

After everyone got off the bus, Xia Feng became a mechanic again.

After fighting two waves of zombies and using most of his abilities to kill mid-level zombies, even Xia Feng, who was made of iron, was exhausted.

The energy in the air was thin, and his superpowers recovered very slowly. He quickly repaired a few cars and then got in to rest.

Lin Xuan's superpowers were also depleted.

However, outdoors, there are mutated plants everywhere. Even though it is winter now, the mutated plants are not very active and still store energy inside.

These plant energies are the outdoor self-sufficiency of the Invisible Vine. Lin Xuan squatted on the car roof for half an hour and was fully recharged.

As soon as she returned to the carriage, Han Ming grabbed her hand.

"Little Sister Lin, do you remember a year ago, when the apocalypse had just begun, there was a Tianle Supermarket behind the Xincheng residential area. Did you save someone in the supermarket? That person was bitten by a zombie, and you covered for him and left him a lot of food. Do you remember?"

Han Ming stared at Lin Xuan with bright eyes, leaving Lin Xuan somewhat bewildered.

She thought for a moment, "Yes! There was such a thing."

In the early days of the apocalypse, one night when she went out to practice killing zombies and collect supplies, she encountered a young man who had been bitten by a zombie and was left in a supermarket.

Lin Xuan remembered that the young man was her neighbor, a person with superhuman strength, and that she had once seen him rummaging through the skulls of zombies, digging into their crystal cores.

She felt that the young man must be just like her, addicted to online novels, and she couldn't bear to see him abandoned by his friends and die in the supermarket.

Although Han Ming was practically dead at the time.

With the intention of leaving him a glimmer of hope, Lin Xuan took precautions for him and left him supplies.

Unexpectedly, her simple act of kindness actually saved a life.

"Thank you for saving my life, Lin Xiaomei. You don't know, when I was bitten by a zombie, all my companions ran away. I thought I was going to die. In my dazed state, I felt someone dragging tables and chairs to protect me. I thought someone had come to save me, so I just kept holding on and didn't die. I never thought I would actually survive."

Han Ming felt a lump in his throat and almost burst into tears. He was truly desperate at that moment, terrified of being discovered and torn apart by zombies, or of becoming one of those mindless monsters wandering around.

Fortunately, Lin Xuan killed all the zombies nearby and left him with enough supplies.

After he pulled through, he survived the most dangerous days of his life in that small shop, relying on the food and water that were readily available.

He was lucky to be alive, and his body was strong as a superhuman. Despite the terrible wound, he didn't take any medicine or do any special treatment. He just rinsed it with water, and it actually scabbed over and healed.

But the large, horrific scar on his shoulder was nothing compared to losing his life.

"How did you know that person was me?" Lin Xuan asked curiously. It was nighttime, and she was invisible, so Han Ming couldn't have seen her.
