Chapter 38 Settling Down in a Small Villa

Zhou Li and his companions quickly made way for them. Seeing that there were several girls following behind the men, they felt slightly relieved, but not entirely at ease.

The girls appeared natural and in good spirits. One of the girls, with a baby face, was quite affectionate with the strongest man, suggesting she wasn't being coerced.

In this day and age, these men who can bring so many girls on their journeys must not be bad people.

The living room on the first floor of the villa is very spacious, with the sofa and chairs moved to the corner.

A brazier was burning in the middle, and some kind of meat was roasting on the fire, emitting an unpleasant fishy smell.

There were more than a dozen men, women, and children in the living room, all dressed in disheveled clothes. When they saw several strong men enter, they all stood up nervously.

Zhou Xinran and his gang didn't look like people to mess with, especially Xia Feng, who was tall, strong, and had the typical look of a gangster.

The chubby boy whispered to Zhou Li, "That person looks fierce. Are they bad people?"

After saying that, she glanced quickly at Xia Feng, then buried her face in Zhou Li's arms.

Xia Feng remained expressionless, while Zhou Li gave an awkward laugh. "Shh, don't talk nonsense. Your brothers aren't bad people, don't be afraid."

After comforting the child, she apologized to Xia Feng, "The child is just being silly, please don't mind. Everyone, please sit here for a while..."

The group was clearly afraid that they would actually sit down; their eyes were full of rejection and resistance.

"Brother, I'm so tired. Let's find a place to rest quickly," Zhou Lerui whispered, tugging at Zhou Xinran's clothes.

There's a brazier burning on the first floor; it's hot and smells awful. Who wants to sit down and talk to these people?
