Chapter 16 Uncle Leng, Drinking Coffee

Coffee shop.

Bai Yifan sat cross-legged in a rather artistic chair, with seven or eight cups of coffee in front of him.

"You know my sister?"

Bai Yifan looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze.

He strongly suspected that the person in front of him had ulterior motives.

Otherwise, why would he seem like a completely different person after talking to his sister on the phone?

Instead of arresting him like a thief, they brought him to the coffee shop.

He casually mentioned wanting the most expensive coffee, and seven or eight cups of coffee were placed in front of him.

He just looked like he wanted to kill him!

In short, it's a bit strange.

Leng Yebai did not answer Bai Yifan's question. His face remained as cold as ever, and his sharp eyes were fixed on the doorway.

A glint of light shone in his sharp eyes.

Bai Yifan secretly took out his phone, took a picture of Leng Yebai, and then sent it to his older sister.

'Sis, do you know him?'

I don't know him.

Upon seeing Bai Xizhu's reply, Bai Yifan pursed his lips, feeling that something was off.

Waiting time is always tedious and boring.

Bai Yifan drank six cups of coffee before finally seeing his family.

Leng Yebai narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze falling on the last girl to enter.

Her face was delicate and pretty, like a blooming lotus, and her dark eyes seemed to see right through people's hearts.

He had seen this face countless times in his dreams.

She said, "Why don't we die together?"

That smiling face was etched into his mind, almost becoming a nightmare.

He thought he must be going crazy.

Why would someone care so much about a dream?

Even though I know it's a dream, that face is forever etched in my mind, impossible to erase.

The dream and reality overlapped, and Leng Yebai's heart seemed to leap out of his chest.

Bang bang bang.

Leng Yebai could clearly hear his own heartbeat.

"Oh, it's President Leng?"

Bai Anhai looked at the man in front of him with surprise, feeling a little regretful.

I'm not going to get rich!

It wasn't until Bai Anhai extended his hand to shake mine that Leng Yebai realized what was happening.

He lost his composure.

"Attorney Bai?"

Leng Yebai was also taken aback.

"President Leng, is there some misunderstanding between you two?"

Bai Anhai raised an eyebrow at Bai Yifan.

They can't scam people anymore.

"Dad, we had some misunderstandings, but they should be cleared up now, right?"

Bai Yifan scratched his head.

"Are you Attorney Bai's son?"

Leng Yebai looked at Bai Yifan.

But what he was really thinking was that she was actually Attorney Bai's daughter.

“This is my son. It’s good that the misunderstanding has been cleared up.” Bai Anhai glared at Bai Yifan. “Yifan, call him Uncle Leng.”

Bai Yifan's lips twitched, but he still obediently greeted, "Hello, Uncle Leng!"

Leng Yebai bent down and pulled out the chairs, gentlemanly inviting Wang Yiyun and Bai Xizhu to sit down.

His long eyelashes cast a shadow, obscuring Leng Yebai's expression.

What kind of coffee do you like?

Leng Yebai looked at Bai Xizhu, his eyes fixed on her dark, bright eyes.

He had seen those eyes a thousand times in his dreams.

"Anything is fine."

Bai Xizhu's face held a hint of reserve, just like any other young girl's expression when meeting a stranger.

"You brat, instead of staying home to take care of your grandpa and grandma, you're out causing trouble!"

Wang Yiyun glared at Bai Yifan.

Knowing this person means you can't get rich.

Bai Yifan blinked innocently, and Leng Yebai, standing beside him, couldn't explain, so he could only shrug helplessly.

"Mr. Leng, my son has caused you trouble."

Wang Yiyun looked at the handsome Leng Yebai and said with a smile.

"It's alright, we're all on the same side."

Leng Yebai glanced at Bai Xizhu out of the corner of his eye and was slightly disappointed to see that she had no reaction to him.

Even though it was just a dream, Leng Yebai always felt that they had known each other for a very long time.

Bai Anhai sat next to Bai Xizhu. He looked up and saw Leng Yebai looking at him (actually, he was looking at Bai Xizhu). Just as he was about to speak, the waiter brought over a plate of coffee.

"Sir, your coffee."

The waiter stood beside Bai Anhai with a smile on his face, holding a tray.

"Xiao Zhu, this cup is for your Uncle Leng."

Bai Anhai placed a cup of coffee in front of Bai Xizhu, gesturing for her to serve it to Leng Yebai.

Because Leng Yebai was opposite Bai Xizhu.

"Uncle Leng, have some coffee."

Bai Xizhu placed the coffee in front of Leng Yebai with a blank expression.

Leng Yebai: ...

Leng Yebai lowered his eyes to look at the coffee in front of him, and his lips twitched almost imperceptibly.

Suddenly, Bai Anhai's phone rang.

Bai Anhai smiled apologetically at Leng Yebai, then took his phone and went outside to answer a call.

Bai Xizhu lowered her eyes and sipped her coffee slowly. She hadn't had coffee in three years since the apocalypse.

She glanced at the aloof man in front of her.

No wonder.

No wonder he used lightning-based powers on other zombies on the day of the apocalypse, but ice needles on his parents and brother.

It turns out that Dad and him had known each other for a long time.

Bai Xizhu let out a barely perceptible sigh.

Those three years of memories were too painful for Bai Xizhu to bear. She subconsciously tried to avoid them, but the bloody images kept replaying in her mind.

"Mr. Leng, I'm sorry, I have other things to do, so..."

Bai Anhai strode in, phone in hand, a hint of apology on his face.

"Uncle Bai, if you're busy, go ahead and do your thing! I'll drive the siblings home in a bit."
