Chapter 189 Not Afraid of Zombies

Bai Yifan was held in Leng Yebai's hand, one hand holding a water bottle to drink water, the other hand pressed against the window, and yellow light instantly covered it.

creak creak --

The window began to warp.

Bai Xizhu pushed the window open, and it fell down.

I glanced down; there was no one there, no zombies.

"Keep up."

Bai Xizhu glanced back at Leng Yebai, then stepped onto the windowsill and jumped down.

"Ton ton ton—"

Bai Yifan's eyes widened as he continued drinking water while still holding the bottle.

Cherish life.

Leng Yebai gripped Bai Yifan's clothes and jumped down without hesitation.

"Ah—ton ton ton—ah—"

Bai Yifan wailed as he drank water.

Saliva mixed with the spiritual spring water sprayed onto Leng Yebai's body.

Leng Yebai disdainfully lifted Bai Yifan a little further away.

It's okay to secretly throw it away, right?

Forget it, I'll get beaten to death.

Leng Yebai released the pressure twice at the air conditioner and finally landed safely.

"roar--"

The howls of zombies were incessant.

Bai Xizhu and Leng Yebai exchanged a glance and quickly ran towards a quiet place.

They picked up an electric scooter by the roadside. Bai Yifan sat in the middle, chugging water, while Bai Xizhu drove, and Leng Yebai sat in the back with a resentful look on his face.

He felt that the high school student, whose name could not be revealed, was somewhat superfluous.

The electric scooter ran out of power, and purple lightning spilled from Leng Yebai's fingertips, a wisp of purple lightning shooting towards the battery.

Then, Bai Xizhu drove her electric scooter towards the gate of the safe base.

Behind them, a group of zombies were still roaring, mixed with the voices of a few human survivors.

Leng Yebai glanced back and saw a motorcycle heading into the distance.

"Brother Leng, what are you looking at?"

Bai Yifan, holding the empty bottle, turned to look at Leng Yebai.

"I didn't see anything. I just saw a zombie. It was pretty ugly, so I took a second look."

Leng Yebai remained calm.

"Oh, do you want some water?"

Bai Yifan pointed to the water bottle that Leng Yebai was holding.

My older sister said the air there was poisonous, and the spring water could detoxify it. But my older sister and Brother Leng were tough and didn't care, so they didn't drink any water.

He's no good; he's the unluckiest guy.

She is the weakest in the family.

It's better to drink more.

Leng Yebai's lips twitched, and he handed the water bottle to Bai Yifan.

tons tons tons

Bai Yifan hugged the water bottle and drank again.

The security base has gained a small team of guards at the main gate.

Bai Xizhu handed them three crystal cores. The gatekeeper carefully checked their body temperatures and then let them in.

"Woo~ woo~ woo--"

The security base was filled with the sound of alarms and a tense atmosphere.

The searchlights at the security base were turned on again, turning the night into day.

Some people wearing black windbreakers ran to the gates and perimeter of the security base to prepare for any emergencies.

Bai Xizhu didn't linger and drove her electric scooter directly into the residential area.

It was already 11 p.m.

The Bai family moved a table next to the bus, with a large plate of crayfish in the center of the table.

Each person had a can of beer, and they drank while waiting for Bai Xizhu and the other two.

"Hey, they're back!"

Bai Zhengxuan gasped for breath from the spiciness of the crayfish, took a sip of his ice-cold beer, and waved to Bai Xizhu and the other two when they returned.

They don't seem like parents who are anxiously waiting for their children to come home at all.

"Xiao Zhu, come here, look what I'm peeling for you."

Wang Yiyun smiled and presented a plate of peeled lobster meat to Bai Xizhu.

Old Man Bai gave a soft hum.

I dared not speak at all.

He's the one who peeled it!

Bai Xizhu and the other two got out of the car, sat at the table, and joined the shrimp-eating army.

"Woo~ woo~ woo~"

The alarms at the safe base kept ringing, and even through the wall, the roars of zombies could be heard in the distance.

The Bai family members calmly ate shrimp and drank beer, showing no signs of tension whatsoever.

"Hey Mom and Dad, why aren't you worried about us at this hour?"

Bai Yifan drank water while glancing at his leisurely parents.

"I was indeed worried about you guys." Old Man Bai opened a can of beer for Bai Yifan, placed it in front of him, and said slowly, "I was afraid you'd kill someone, and then I wouldn't be able to find you in heaven!"

Bai Yifan: ...

Bai Yifan shook his head, put down the water bottle, picked up a beer and clinked it with his father.

I took a sip.

vomit--

Bai Yifan almost couldn't hold back his vomiting.

Old Man Bai raised an eyebrow. So weak.

Bai Yifan put down his beer and continued drinking water in large gulps.

Sure enough, formula is more suitable for him.

"What's going on outside? It's quite noisy. Did you guys cause trouble?"

Liu Jing smiled as she looked at the three people who had just returned.

Based on her years of experience as a forensic doctor, these three people are very likely to be criminal suspects.

"No, I don't know." Bai Yifan shook his head blankly while gulping down water.

They were just out killing ants; the howling of zombies and all that was none of their business.

"That's really strange. Who else could cause such a commotion?" Liu Jing scratched her gray hair and subconsciously looked at Bai Zhengxuan.

The three-person "elderly group" is most likely to cause trouble.

"It's not us. We came back early today. You can hear Old Wang and Old Liu snoring so loudly. It has nothing to do with us."
