Chapter 332 The Past

In a daze, Wang Ge dreamed of things from the past again.

Can I go out and play?

Little Wang Ge had grown into a five or six-year-old child, gazing longingly at the world outside the window.

Xiao Wangge was thin and small, with an extremely frail body.

His small, exquisitely handsome features made him look like a young boy straight out of an anime.

Her fair skin was like that of a porcelain doll, and her eyes were fixed on the view outside the window.

It had just rained outside the window, and a cute little white dog was hopping around there.

Its chubby body rolled around on the ground, occasionally nibbling on the tender green grass.

Xiao Wangge looked at the little dog outside with envy, wishing he were that little white dog so he could go out and roll around.

"Once you get better, you'll be able to go out and play."

An elderly man in a white coat looked at Wang Ge with a kind expression and reached out his aged hand to touch Wang Ge's head.

Xiao Wangge's head was wrapped in thick gauze, from which oozed shocking red blood.

The little head was covered with layers of white gauze, looking somewhat overwhelmed.

When Xiao Wangge saw the aged fingers approaching, he subconsciously took a step back.

"Dad, can you please not cut my head off? It hurts."

Tears welled up in Xiao Wangge's eyes, the clear pearls seeming ready to fall at any moment.

"Okay, no need for surgery. Your illness is cured. In ten years, you will be the most amazing person in the world!"

When Dean Wang looked at Xiao Wangge's head, a hint of madness appeared on his face.

Xiao Wang Ge didn't pay much attention to what Dean Wang said, his big eyes looking out the window at the adorable little dog.

"I'm six years old, can I go to school now?"

Wang Ge's eyes held boundless longing.

“No, you can’t go to school. I will teach you myself. Your future is bright. School can’t teach you much knowledge at all.”

Dean Wang's voice carried an air of unquestionable certainty.

The stars in Xiao Wangge's eyes slowly dimmed, and the joy he once felt for the little dog outside the window was gone.

Instead, gloom prevailed.

"ah!"

Suddenly, Xiao Wangge clutched his head and howled in pain.

The sudden, intense pain in his brain almost made him lose control; his small, tender hands tugged at the gauze on his head, as if trying to pull everything off.

"Don't move! Bear with it! If you can get through this period, you'll be the luckiest person!"

Dean Wang grabbed Xiao Wang Ge and shoved him into a chair.

There were some restraint straps on the chair specifically designed for mental patients, and Dean Wang tightly bound the restraint straps to Wang Ge's body.

"Dad! Let go of me! My head hurts so much!"

Tears streamed down Xiao Wangge's face as he trembled uncontrollably, his whole body writhing in pain.

He was only six years old when he underwent several craniotomies.

In his view, those previous craniotomies went smoothly. He said that the surgery was painful, but he would recover after a period of rest.

This time it's a little different.

Something else seemed to have entered my mind.

That tiny thing throbbed in his brain, threatening to tear his mind apart and devour his consciousness at any moment.

A violent emotion surged through my mind, a desire to destroy everything.

"Son, bear with it, if you can hold on, Daddy will take you to the amusement park." Dean Wang patiently held little Wang Ge's trembling fingers, which were in pain. "You've never left our hospital before, have you? Once you can hold on, Daddy will take you to the amusement park and play games with other children!"

Dean Wang's words were like a lifeline, bringing light back to Xiao Wang Ge's eyes, which had been glazed over from the pain.

Really, is it possible to leave this hospital?

From the time he can remember, this hospital has been his home; he has never left it.

He didn't even know what the hospital gate looked like.

In my memory, there are only one craniotomy after another.

His fellow patients were only those who were mentally unstable.

Those people behaved abnormally, gesticulating wildly from time to time, or suddenly laughing or crying, making normal communication difficult.

He has seen many patients, all of whom are quite different from him.

They are all mentally unstable, and if they go berserk, the nurses will restrain their bodies with straps.

He felt he was different from others; he was probably normal.

But his father told him from a young age that he was sick.

He didn't know what illness he had.

All he could do was cheer himself up when he went into surgery.

Don't be afraid, just get through it.

Once you recover, you can be discharged from the hospital and go back to school.

However, each time, his father told him that his surgery had failed.

This time, his father told him that the surgery was a success.

Little Wang Ge's small body was curled up in the restraints, but a smile appeared on his face.

If we get through this, will we really be able to get out?

Headache.

It felt like there was something hard inside my head, making my head buzz.

Xiao Wang gritted his teeth and endured it.

He is not an ordinary child; he has undergone numerous craniotomies.

According to his father, he was put on the operating table as soon as he was born; the day he was born was his first brain surgery.

I don't know how much time has passed.

Xiao Wangge had already lost consciousness.

Dean Wang untied the restraints and took out little Wang Ge, who was covered in sweat.

Xiao Wangge's brows were tightly furrowed, and he couldn't shake off that melancholy.

There was no pity in Dean Wang's eyes, only a look of madness on his face.
