Chapter 334 A spotless white room

The black car drove for an unknown amount of time.

They eventually stopped in a deserted place.

There are no zombies, no mutated animals, and no survivors here.

An endless expanse of emptiness.

Wang Ge and Dean Wang got out of the car and came to a large rock.

Wang Ge stood expressionless in front of the stone, her fair and slender hand resting on it.

The seemingly frail body unleashed tremendous power, managing to move the stone a considerable distance.

A downward step was revealed.

These steps look like they were created a very, very long time ago.

The steps are man-made stone slabs, covered with green moss.

In this modern age of mechanization, it's rare to see such ancient stone slabs anymore.

Judging from the age of the stone slabs and the traces of wind and sun at the entrance, it's easy to tell that this passage has existed for a very long time.

It seems to have endured thousands of years of wind and sun.

Modern lighting fixtures were installed in the passageway, adding a touch of modernity to the quaint passage.

Wang Ge walked downstairs on his own, without waiting for Dean Wang.

The passageway is only wide enough for one person to pass through at a time, and there's no need to wait.

After the two of them entered the passage, the large rock slowly returned to its previous position.

The surface of the large rock has been weathered by wind and sun, and some stones have fallen off its cracked surface.

This did not affect the original weight of the boulder; even a crane could not lift such a large boulder.

In the long, dark corridor, the backs of an old man and a young boy appeared somewhat forlorn in the dim light.

The downward passage stretched endlessly, as if leading to hell.

Dean Wang looked at Wang Ge's thin back, his aged eyes filled with an emotion other than madness.

This legend says that he sent his two sons to hell, where they never had the chance to meet again.

His wife also died with resentment.

Only the youngest son remained.

That craniotomy was Dean Wang's last hope; if it failed, he would never touch that legend again.

Just consider the ancestral inheritance as a lie, something illusory and unreliable, and not to be taken seriously.

To my surprise, it actually succeeded.

It has been proven that a successful craniotomy can indeed grant a person some incredible power.

In this apocalyptic world, Wang Ge thrived and gained immense power.

However, in this apocalyptic world, there are people who are even more powerful than Wang Ge, who is blessed with extraordinary talent.

Dean Wang narrowed his eyes. Could it be that what his ancestors had pursued for generations was not as valuable as the few months they spent in the apocalypse?

That's impossible!

A hint of madness flashed in Dean Wang's eyes.

His son, Wang Ge, received the power protected by his ancestors, making him the most favored person no matter when or where!

He lost two sons and a wife, plus the power of God that his ancestors had always believed in.

How could they possibly be inferior to those superhumans who spent months in the post-apocalyptic world!

Dean Wang watched Wang Ge's dejected figure and rubbed his temples hard.

If you ask him if he regrets it, he can say with certainty that he definitely does.

But if given another chance, he would do the same thing again.

This damned apocalypse proves that the gods of ancient times really existed.

Everything is just a cycle.

In the previous cycle, the names of great figures like Chi You and Huang Di were passed down to their descendants.

In this cycle of reincarnation, his son Wang Ge, through the inheritance of Hua Tuo's lineage, will also become a deity in the mouths of future generations.

A look of confusion suddenly flashed in Dean Wang's eyes.

Is proving the existence of gods, or becoming a god, really that important?

Is it so important that he sacrificed his son and wife, so important that his ancestors would have to bear such a heavy secret for generations?

With a creak.

The sound of the door opening disrupted Dean Wang's thoughts.

He and Wang Ge had reached the end of the passage, where there was a small bronze door.

The copper door is smaller than a normal door, fitting seamlessly into the passageway, allowing only one person to pass at a time.

Because the bronze door is so old, a layer of green patina has formed on its surface, which has turned it into bronze.

Just one glance, and the heavy sense of the era washes over you.

The bronze door and the stone-paved floor made a heavy, creaking sound.

Push open the bronze door, and there's another door behind it.

This door has a high-tech feel, with a smooth white surface and a fingerprint recognition area in the upper right corner.

Bronze doors and fingerprint lock doors are superimposed on each other, history and modernity are intertwined and indistinguishable.

Wang Ge glanced expressionlessly at the fingerprint scanner, then slightly turned his body away, the gloom in his eyes growing even heavier.

Dean Wang strode towards the door lock without making a sound, his index finger lingering for a moment on the fingerprint scanner.

A ding-dong sound.

The door to a new era has been unlocked.

Dean Wang and Wang Ge went inside together.

The bronze door and the door to modern technology were both closed at the same time.

Inside the door, everything was pure white.

The rustic, historical vicissitudes that once filled the entrance are gone.

Inside, it's a completely new era, filled with all sorts of sophisticated electronic instruments.

Every now and then, the roars of wild beasts or the howls of zombies could be heard from some of the rooms.

Or perhaps, the desperate cries of humanity.

Dean Wang, dressed in a pristine white lab coat, walked proudly and confidently into the research institute.

The researchers they encountered on the way all nodded respectfully to Dean Wang, their respect was palpable.
