A bus that looked similar to the Bai family's suddenly stopped in front of Zhang Yiming, and the door slowly opened.
"Brother Zhang, shall we leave now?"
Fan Tangtang's timid voice came from the bus.
Zhang Yiming responded, glanced at the bus that looked similar to the Bai family's bus, a gentle look flashed in his eyes, and stepped onto the bus.
Little Song, the zombie, followed closely behind Zhang Yiming and boarded the bus with stiff steps.
Once inside the Bai family's bus, he could see all sorts of photos, which were very heartwarming, including some of Xiao Zhu's youthful photos.
After boarding the similar bus, Zhang Yiming saw some rotting and grotesque faces.
They sat quietly in the back, lined up neatly.
Zhang Yiming could smell odors other than the smell of human flesh and blood.
Smelling the rotten smell emanating from the zombies in the air, Zhang Yiming frowned slightly.
The zombie man in the suit had his hair neatly combed and sat upright with his fingers on his lap.
No matter how serious he is, he's still a zombie.
The bus that wasn't as warm as the Bai family's was.
The zombie in the suit stared at Zhang Yiming's furrowed brows for a while with his rotting eyes, tilting his head as if he was thinking about something.
A minute later, the rotting fingers pressed against the window and slowly opened a crack.
The fresh air outside blew onto the distinct strands of hair of the zombie man in the suit, causing his sparse hair to flutter in the wind.
Zhang Yiming glanced at the zombie in the suit and the rows of rotting faces sitting behind him, his brows still furrowed tightly.
These were all Zhang Yiming's capable subordinates, and he brought them all with him when he went to Shanghai.
After Zhang Yiming entered the bus, he remained silent, sat quietly in a seat, and slowly closed his eyes.
Zombies can be imagined, as long as they still have consciousness.
Zhang Yiming fantasized that the person driving wasn't Fan Liping, but Bai Yifan.
The people sitting behind him weren't zombies, but members of the Bai family.
Sitting next to him was Bai Xizhu.
The one he left behind wasn't Master Tao, but Leng Yebai.
A smile appeared on her usually cool face, and her whole demeanor softened.
Once Fan Liping saw that Zhang Yiming was seated, he floored the accelerator and sped the bus toward Shanghai.
Shortly after that, the Bai family had breakfast and set off for Shanghai.
Captain Zhu's heavy truck arrived a night earlier than the Bai family and Zhang Yiming.
By this time, Captain Zhu had already traveled a considerable distance.
He had already stopped the car and did not continue driving.
It's not that he changed his mind and didn't want to go to Shanghai anymore.
He was hungry.
A bloodthirsty urge raged in his mind, constantly clamoring that it was time to eat.
Despite Captain Zhu's twisted mind, he still felt some resistance to eating human flesh and blood.
Even though the thought of human flesh and blood makes his mouth water, he still resists it; it's too disgusting.
He once arrested a heinous criminal suspect, a psychologically twisted pervert who liked to lure children to his home with candy and then eat their internal organs.
This case made Captain Zhu so disgusted that he couldn't eat for two days. At the time, he felt that the person was a demon, and it was just too disgusting.
Now, he even wanted to ask that criminal what it tasted like to eat human flesh and blood...
He's probably gone mad.
Captain Zhu sat in the driver's seat, his fists clenched tightly, but his eyes couldn't help but look out.
He was searching for traces of humans.
My mind was resisting, but my eyes were unconsciously searching for prey.
Captain Zhu took a deep breath, but it did not quell the bloodlust surging in his mind.
He had become a zombie; his organs were merely for show, and his body could no longer utilize oxygen.
They can breathe not to smell fresh air, but only to smell flesh and blood, making it easier to hunt humans.
Captain Zhu angrily slammed his fist on the steering wheel twice, deforming it completely.
The car won't move.
Captain Zhu felt even more agitated and got out of the car.
This is a sparsely populated town.
The zombies in this town seemed to have been cleared out, and there weren't many left. Along the way, we only encountered one or two zombies with blank expressions.
There are many towns like this, which are in a semi-abandoned state. They have all been cleared out by the superhumans at the base, and the supplies inside have been taken back to the safe base by the superhumans.
This town isn't particularly safe, and it's definitely not a place where hordes of zombies appear.
Some ordinary people who can't afford the "toll" for each entry and exit from the safe base will choose to stay in such a place.
Mission teams from nearby security bases sometimes rest in towns like this.
Captain Zhu's cold gaze swept across the entire street, as if searching for something.
Those icy eyes were chilling to the extreme, like the gaze of a cold-blooded animal hunting.
The streets were desolate, and occasionally a few zombies would encounter Captain Zhu from afar and then keep their distance.
The aura emanating from the Zombie King kept them from disturbing Captain Zhu.
I looked around the streets of this post-apocalyptic world but didn't see any prey.
Captain Zhu breathed a sigh of relief, but his face showed some annoyance.
What's frustrating is that I haven't found any food, and the hunger in my stomach is getting stronger and stronger.
The reason he breathed a sigh of relief was that he no longer needed to devour flesh and blood to become a true monster.
This wasn't a sudden change of heart; he could kill, but cannibalism was something he found repulsive.
