Upon hearing that it was done by people from the Yunhua Security Base, the hostility on the base commander's face instantly dissipated considerably.
Commander Leng is a ruthless man; he could probably wipe out the Mingcheng Security Base all by himself.
"Ah—does their security base think we're easy to bully?! You, hurry up and go to their security base to get justice for my brother! My brother can't have died like this!"
The middle-aged, overweight woman, her face streaked with snot and tears, grabbed the sleeve of the base chief and tried to push him out, wishing she could make the people of Yunhua Security Base pay for their crimes immediately.
"Can……"
The base chief, Ming, didn't budge; he was extremely envious of the crystal cores at the Yunhua Security Base.
But he really couldn't win the argument!
"Their security base has many beautiful and clean girls, as well as a lot of crystal cores. If we go there, we'll definitely reap a great reward. Even if we can't beat Base Chief Leng, he certainly won't offend our security base for the sake of a few people in his base."
Grandpa Yao placed Fatty Fan's body on the ground, his left hand resting lightly on his waist, as if stroking something.
The waist belt swayed slightly.
As Grandpa Yao spoke, those around him smelled a faint odor of copper rust.
They didn't notice anything special.
However, his mind continued to wander, following the lead of Old Master Yao.
Crystal Core, a pretty and clean girl...
I really want to rob the safe zone!
These are their deepest, most genuine thoughts, amplified countless times.
The more I thought about it, the more determined I was to seek justice.
Even if we can't beat them, bringing back the girl who killed Fatty Fan wouldn't be bad.
They had never even seen the girl who killed Fatty Fan, yet they followed Old Yao's line of thought.
"Let's go! We'll get justice for them. No matter what, we have to hand that family over and compensate them with even more crystal cores!"
As Grandpa Yao patiently guided him, the smell of copper rust in the air grew even stronger.
Yao Bei placed his finger below his nose, held his breath, and occasionally pinched his arm hard.
His grandfather's method wasn't very clever, but it might actually be the most effective.
No matter how powerful Commander Leng is, he is still the vice-captain of the Human Survivors Alliance. He won't fight to the death with a few people from the Mingcheng Safe Base.
Even with so many people from the Mingcheng Security Base, it's impossible to eliminate them all.
Anyone who openly and blatantly slaughters humans, regardless of time or place, is an enemy of humanity.
For the sake of reputation, the base chief would hand over those people, and there might even be a large harvest of crystal cores.
No wonder Grandpa was anxious; the superpower that middle-aged man used today was too pure.
Grandpa couldn't wait to absorb his crystal core.
Yao Bei glanced almost imperceptibly at Old Master Yao's waist, a hint of fear and relief in his eyes.
Thankfully, that thing wasn't on me.
"Let's go! We must get justice for my brother!"
The middle-aged, overweight woman was the first to shout, grabbing Chief Ming and trying to pull him outside.
This time, Chief Ming went along with the middle-aged, plump woman's strength and did not resist.
As soon as the base chief led the way outside, the onlookers naturally followed.
The crowd was filled with righteous indignation, and the ranks grew ever larger.
Hearing that they were going to the Yunhua Security Base to demand justice and get the crystal cores, the news spread like wildfire, and people from other corners also came over.
They're desperate for money.
There are so many people here anyway!
Yunhua Security Base wouldn't actually kill them all.
Both men and women came out, hoping to take advantage of the chaos and get a few crystal cores so that life wouldn't be too hard.
The Mingcheng Security Base is basically run by people who like to get something for nothing, who enjoy taking advantage of chaos and looting when things are in trouble; it's pretty standard practice for them.
By the time the Ming base commander arrived at the gate of the Mingcheng Security Base, almost everyone in the entire security base had arrived.
The gates of the safe base had just opened when the person at the front suddenly stopped.
The excited expression on his face froze instantly.
"We must go to the Yunhua Security Base to seek justice!"
"Yes, yes, yes! You won't get away with this without handing over dozens of beautiful girls!"
"Tsk tsk tsk! Their safe base still treats women as equals!"
The people behind continued walking forward, grumbling. Seeing that the people in front weren't moving, they pushed their way forward, afraid of being a step too slow and missing out on what they wanted.
"Stop pushing! Back up! The entrance is full of zombies! Back up! Back up!"
A terrified voice came from the front.
She saw zombies standing in front of her in all sorts of contorted poses, stretching as far as the eye could see.
A stench of decay assaulted her senses, and she could even see maggots crawling on the rotting flesh of the zombies' faces, and their scarlet, inhuman eyes.
At the forefront of the zombie horde stood a zombie dressed in a suit and tie. The zombie's face was covered in rotting flesh, yet it looked clean, and its hair was neatly combed.
However neatly arranged, it's still a zombie.
The zombie in the suit looked at the middle-aged woman whose voice sounded like a pig being slaughtered, tilted his head slightly, and gave her what he considered a fairly polite smile.
His face was covered in rotting flesh, and white gums peeked out from the decaying pits on his cheeks.
"Ah—zombies! Back off!"
Suddenly, not only did the middle-aged fat woman's voice sound like a pig being slaughtered, but the voices of the people at the very front were also like that.
Everyone frantically pushed and shoved to the back, and not a single person used their superpowers to resist.
