Bai Xizhu's gaze lingered on Captain Zhang for a moment, her eyes showing a slight surprise.
The last time I saw Captain Zhang, he looked to be in his thirties, and he exuded a mature and steady aura.
Looking at him now, he looks younger and appears to be more like a contemporary of Bai Xizhu and Leng Yebai.
Clearly, Captain Zhang's superpowers are much stronger than when we last met.
"It's good that you're alright."
Captain Zhang's lips curled slightly as his gaze fell on the somewhat wilted flytrap leaves in the distance.
The fly traps retreated a little more the instant Captain Zhang looked at them.
A barely perceptible ripple spread from Captain Zhang's body all the way to the cluster of fly-catching leaves.
The weeds on the ground danced in the wind, and some withered branches and leaves were swept up by an inexplicable force and flew very high.

The sound of heavy objects hitting the ground could be heard.
The fly-catching leaves growing on the rhizome, which should have been fluttering in the air, suddenly fell straight to the ground like a kite with a broken string.
Black slime and green juice gushed out.
The expected strong, fishy stench did not come; instead, an invisible wind blew, carrying the stench in the opposite direction from where everyone was standing.
With a snap of the fingers, the dense mass of fly trap leaves turned into a pile of black and green slimy substance on the ground, and there was no fly trap leaf left in mid-air.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but even the surrounding plants seem to have lost some of their vitality.
"Little Zhang is really something!" Zhong Beihai stroked his chin, a smile on his face. "Weren't you at sea? Why did you suddenly come here?"
Originally, Zhong Beihai thought that even with six strong people, he might not be able to find the special mutated plant. But after Captain Zhang arrived, Zhong Beihai instantly felt that the game was in the bag.
Lying down wouldn't do him any good. Even with all six powerful figures breaking his legs, he could still quickly find the mutated plant under Captain Zhang's leadership and then swiftly return to the Alliance.
"It's much quieter there now. I was worried about your safety here, so I came over."
Captain Zhang pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, his slender, fair fingers adding to his refined and scholarly air.

Zhong Beihai instantly became narcissistic, his eyes glistening with excited tears.

The base commander then stood in front of Leng Yebai.

The base commander gritted his teeth inwardly, his mind racing with determination.
