Chapter 867 Business is getting harder

As the two ventured deeper, the number of zombies increased, making it impossible to ride bicycles freely.

The two could only push their bicycles further inside.

The two stopped when the zombies were almost right next to them.

The zombie horde remained incredibly well-behaved.

Not a single zombie attacked them.

Because of their existence, some high-level zombies have even strengthened their control over ordinary zombies, suppressing their instinct to devour flesh and blood.

Those high-ranking zombies were dutiful and never slacked off.

Let's go!

Bai Xizhu looked around at the zombies she used to hate the most, and a trace of pity rose in her heart, but she did not show it.

These are people suffering from serious illnesses. They are beyond saving and can only slowly wait for their true demise, like a piece of rotting flesh.

And those zombies with self-awareness are the most unfortunate of them all.

Neither humans nor zombies have had an easy time in this era.

Leng Yebai nodded, turned the bicycle around, and then left the zombie horde with Bai Xizhu.

After the two of them left, the zombie horde continued to stand aimlessly in place as if nothing had happened.

They have no direction, no goal, and no idea what they are waiting for.

Even after she could no longer smell the putrid odor emanating from the zombies, Bai Xizhu's mood remained somewhat depressed.

Leng Yebai remained silent, and the two quietly savored the tranquility around them.

They wander aimlessly in any direction, just like the zombies.

The quiet street was suddenly filled with the roars of zombies.

"roar--"

The zombies' howls were as ferocious as ever, their angry roars seeming to devour everything in the world.

This sound shouldn't exist. The zombies should be following the commands of the higher-level zombies and should be concentrated in certain places, not attacking humans.

Bai Xizhu and Leng Yebai could also sense the violent brainwaves of the zombies in the distance.

The two immediately rode off in that direction.

Since Zhang Yiming has decided to cooperate with humans, he certainly won't suddenly go back on his word.

Besides high-level zombies, Wang Ge's mysterious organization is also capable of controlling zombies.

The further you went in that direction, the louder the zombie roars became.

Occasionally, a few zombies would lie on the ground by the roadside, their brains mangled and bloody, white brain matter mixed with black blood.

It was as if a ferocious beast had smashed the zombie's head open.

"Waaah—"

Bai Xizhu and Leng Yebai heard a sob at the same time.

The voice was all too familiar; it was the voice of the mutated panda.

Bai Xizhu used her control to reduce the weight of the two of them, allowing her to ride the bicycle faster.

Soon, the two arrived at the "battlefield".

Hundreds of zombies were gathered together, attacking the center.

Their faces were contorted with rage, and black saliva dripped from the corners of their mouths, which stretched almost to their ears.

They did not rush towards Bai Xizhu and the other person who suddenly appeared, completely ignoring the blood and flesh aura emanating from them.

They were indeed a controlled horde of zombies.

Bai Xizhu glanced at Leng Yebai, who nodded and then looked coldly at the group of zombies.

An invisible, powerful brainwave emanated from Leng Yebai and quickly acted on the zombie horde.

His brainwaves are comparable to those of a zombie king. Under normal circumstances, ordinary zombies would definitely obey his commands, and at the very least, they would not continue to attack.

But the zombies only paused briefly before continuing their attack on the very center.

They did not obey Leng Yebai's brainwave commands.

Leng Yebai frowned slightly, and a bewitching purple lightning bolt overflowed from his fingertips, densely striking the horde of zombies.

"Their brains have been modified to be less responsive to brainwaves and only accept brainwaves of a specific frequency."

Clearly, this was Wang Ge's doing.

Bai Xizhu looked at the zombies and vaguely saw that some black liquid was slowly seeping from their temples.

He was clearly traumatized.

One after another, steel needles flew out from the small wooden box hanging from Bai Xizhu's waist, decisively and coldly piercing directly into the brains of these zombies.

One by one, the zombies fell, revealing the scene in the center.

Several high-level zombies are fighting against the mutated panda.

The faces of high-level zombies are almost entirely covered with human skin, but you can still see decaying flesh and blood on their necks.

A high-level zombie that is almost a fifth-tier zombie king.

They were not in good condition at the moment. Even though they had superpowers, they were unable to break through the thick layer of fat on the mutated panda.

The mutated panda, with its adorable but stern face, slapped a high-level zombie's shoulder with its paw, causing it to cave in.

The white fur on the mutated panda's body had been dyed completely black, and its adorable face would occasionally glance at its own body.

Slightly disdainful.

"Waaah—"

The mutated panda quickly spotted Bai Xizhu and her companion, and let out two whimpers towards them.

Then the movements became faster and more ferocious.

The heavy claws slammed into the head of the high-level zombie, and the mouth opened and closed with such astonishing bite force that it almost tore a huge hole in the air.

There's a reason it's also called the "iron-eating beast".

The mutated panda was enormous, yet incredibly agile, and quickly rushed towards Bai Xizhu.
