creak creak—
The bicycle made a creaking sound, as if it were about to fall apart at any moment.
"Leng Yebai, could we use a different mode of transportation next time? An electric scooter would be fine too!"
Bai Xizhu tugged at Leng Yebai's clothes with her lush, green fingers and complained.
"The bicycle is great, I like it very much."
Leng Yebai glanced at Bai Xizhu's fair fingers, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
"Don't you think it's too slow?" Bai Xizhu asked.
Their destination required crossing the entire city, which would take at least three hours by bicycle.
“Not slow at all, I think it’s fine.” As Leng Yebai spoke, he glanced at Bai Xizhu’s slender fingers.
He loved the feeling of riding his bicycle with Bai Xizhu, as if the whole world consisted only of the two of them.
Your most valuable possessions are by your side, and your most beloved people are beside you.
"Stop the car, ride your electric scooter!"
Cycling is indeed quite pleasant, but three hours of bumpy riding would be terrifying.
She wanted to rush back for dinner!
Leng Yebai had no choice but to stop the car, but instead of getting off, he seemed to want to continue riding his bicycle.
Bai Xizhu glanced around and, finding no one, took out an electric scooter from her spatial storage.
Leng Yebai straddled the bicycle, refusing to get off and preventing Bai Xizhu from putting the bicycle into her spatial storage.
Her eyes were wet as she looked at Bai Xizhu, like a child whose things had been taken away.
Leng Yebai has strayed further and further down the path of becoming a domineering CEO, and there's no turning back.
"Get off, ride the electric bike!" Bai Xizhu sighed, rubbing her forehead.
"I won't ride it, I can't."
Leng Yebai stiffened his neck and turned his head to look elsewhere, looking like a dead pig that wasn't afraid of boiling water.
His slender fingers were gripping the bicycle handlebars, again and again.
He looks guilty.
"I'll give you one more chance, will you ride an electric bike or not?"
Bai Xizhu raised her hand with a smile.
Leng Yebai shrank his neck, his slender fingers covering his face. "I won't ride."
"I--"
Bai Xizhu slapped Leng Yebai's back, and Leng Yebai subconsciously shrank back, still sticking to his principles.
A bicycle is a bicycle; I'd rather die than not choose a bicycle!
"I'll give you a ride on my electric scooter, is that alright?" Bai Xizhu raised an eyebrow.
"No—" Before Leng Yebai could finish speaking, he saw the dagger in Bai Xizhu's hand and quickly said, "...that's fine too."
"Get down!"
Bai Xizhu glared at him.
Leng Yebai obediently propped up the bicycle and stood silently behind Bai Xizhu.
Bai Xizhu waved her hand and put the bicycle into her spatial storage.
Bai Xizhu then put the dagger away, got on her electric scooter, and gestured for Leng Yebai to get on.
"Where's the helmet?" Leng Yebai pursed his thin lips.
The helmet was his last act of defiance.
"No, come up quickly." Bai Xizhu looked at Leng Yebai, "Three, two..."
Before the countdown even reached one, Leng Yebai was already sitting on the electric scooter, his long, slender fingers encircling Bai Xizhu's waist.
Let's go!
Leng Yebai's lips curled up slightly.
He suddenly realized that electric cars also had their advantages.
Xiao Zhu won't hug him, but he can hug Xiao Zhu!
Bai Xizhu blushed slightly, glanced at those slender hands, and suddenly felt like she was digging a hole for herself.
Tsk, you can only look, not touch, and you have to concentrate on driving.

Bai Xizhu appeared to be driving an electric car, but she acted as if she were flying an airplane, twisting the handle to the limit.

In less than an hour, the two traversed the entire city of D and arrived at the suburbs infested with wolves.
There were no wolves in the suburbs originally, and the wolves migrated here from who knows where.
After the energy tide, both humans and animals were baptized. The animals became more intelligent and were able to cross various streets and rivers in order to find suitable habitats.
Another possibility is that the wolf pack came from the zoo in City D.
Animals have their own territorial instincts, and each territory can only have one leader.
The only options are to submit or find another place to be the boss.
The zoo is now overrun by mutated pandas, and the animals inside have either submitted or left.
Social animals like wolves, with their large numbers, are unlikely to choose to submit.
Bai Xizhu put the electric car into her spatial storage and then released Qin Yuan from it.
"Master, master, do you need my help?"
Qin Yuan excitedly moved closer to Bai Xizhu.
"Could you help me see roughly where the wolves are concentrated?" Bai Xizhu reached out and patted Qin Yuan's head.
Qin Yuan looks somewhat like a bee, and is about the size of a mandarin duck.
It looks alright, though, not as...gentle as the Taotie.
"Yes, Master! I'll go right away!"
Qin Yuan flew away happily, almost humming a tune.
It has a bold idea.
It felt it was the most favored!
Because it was summoned out of the space by its owner the most times!
Bai Xizhu found a large rock, sat on it without any regard for her image, and waited for Qin Yuan's news.
Leng Yebai stood beside Bai Xizhu, blocking the sunlight.
Five minutes later, Qin Yuan flew back.
"Master, we've spotted a pack of wolves. There are 20 of them, and they look rather silly."
Qin Yuan landed on Bai Xizhu's shoulder, gazing longingly at her.
