Chapter 152: The murderous intention is hidden

At this moment, the atmosphere in the courtyard was extremely tense, as if the very air was on fire. The servants stared at Jiang Yan and Su Jinli with a fierce gaze, ready to attack at any moment. Jiang Yan and Su Jinli stood back to back, ready for battle, their eyes revealing an unyielding determination, determined not to bow to evil. A life-and-death struggle was about to break out in this flourishing yet murderous Wang family compound...

Jiang Yan knew he couldn't panic at this moment; he had to remain calm and look for a chance to break out. He quickly scanned his surroundings, trying to find a flaw. In the courtyard, the wisteria flowers still swayed gently in the breeze, as if observing the thrilling battle with a cold eye. The servants' encirclement gradually closed, and the long swords drew closer and closer.

Young Marquis Su fought fiercely in the crowd. Although his swordsmanship was sharp, the enemy's numbers were too great and he gradually began to feel powerless. He was already bruised in many places, and his clothes were stained red with blood, but he still gritted his teeth and persevered, with only one belief in his heart, that is to protect his sister and brother-in-law.

Jiang Yan watched, his heart aching with anxiety. He knew that if they didn't find a way to break out, the three of them would be trapped. Suddenly, an idea struck him, remembering that he still had some hidden weapons on him. He quietly pulled a few out of his pocket and, taking advantage of the servants' unpreparedness, launched them fiercely. With a few screams, several servants fell to the ground, and the encirclement began to loosen.

Jiang Yan seized the opportunity, dragging Su Jinli along with him, and rushed towards Young Marquis Su. He shouted, "Young Marquis, let's charge out together!" Young Marquis Su's spirits perked up at the shout, and he swung his wooden sword even more fiercely. Working together, the three of them finally fought their way through and rushed towards the gate of the Wang family compound.

Seeing this, Old Lady Wang was furious. "Don't even think about running! Chase them! We must capture them!" The servants did not hesitate and gave chase. Jiang Yan and the others ran desperately in front, followed by the servants in hot pursuit. A fierce chase unfolded inside and outside the Wang family compound...

They passed through corridors and skirted rockeries, the shouts of the servants echoing behind them. As Jiang Yan ran, he pondered how to escape the pursuers. He knew the Wang family was a powerful force in this area, and if he couldn't shake them off quickly, the consequences would be disastrous if they caught up.

Just then, they came to a fork in the road. Jiang Yan made a quick decision and pulled Su Jinli and Young Marquis Su toward the path on the left. This path was narrow, flanked by dense bamboo forests, whose intertwined branches formed a natural barrier. Jiang Yan hoped to use this complex terrain to escape the servants' pursuit.

However, the servants seemed to know the terrain well and continued to pursue him. Jiang Yan secretly groaned inwardly, knowing that this was not a solution. Suddenly, he saw an abandoned warehouse in front of him, and an idea suddenly came to his mind.

"Quick, let's hide in that warehouse!" Jiang Yan said, pointing to the warehouse ahead. The three of them quickened their pace and rushed inside. Jiang Yan quickly closed the warehouse door and propped it up with some debris, trying to slow the servants' attack. Su Jinli and Young Marquis Su panted heavily, looking at Jiang Yan nervously, awaiting his next instructions.

"We can't just sit here and wait for death. We have to find a way out from the back." Jiang Yan said as he searched for an exit in the warehouse. The warehouse was filled with various miscellaneous items and the light was dim, making it difficult to find an exit. But Jiang Yan did not give up. With his keen observation, he finally found a small window in a corner of the warehouse.

"Get out of here!" Jiang Yan pointed at the window and said. He first lifted Su Jinli out of the window, and then Su Xiaohouye followed suit. Just as Jiang Yan was about to climb out of the window, he suddenly heard the servants shouting and cursing outside the door. They had already started to bang on the door.

Jiang Yan sped up, and just as he was climbing out the window, the warehouse door was knocked open by the servants. The servants noticed them escaping through the window and immediately chased them out. Jiang Yan and the others desperately fled through the bamboo forest, with the servants chasing them relentlessly.

Just when they were feeling hopeless, they suddenly heard the sound of horse hooves. Jiang Yan was delighted. Could it be reinforcements? He looked up and saw a group of people on horseback galloping towards them. It turned out to be the secret guards Jiang Yan had arranged in advance. They had sensed the situation and rushed to the rescue in time.

The secret guards were very skilled and soon engaged in a fierce fight with the servants. Jiang Yan and the others took the opportunity to ride on their horses and galloped towards the Wang family compound. Old Lady Wang stood at the gate of the Wang family compound, watching Jiang Yan and the others escape, shaking with anger: "Remember this, I will definitely get back at you!"

Jiang Yan and the others rode their horses furiously, not slowing down until they were sure the servants hadn't caught up. They stopped in a secluded spot. Su Jinli and Young Marquis Su were both exhausted, but their faces showed smiles of having survived a disaster.

"This time it's all thanks to my brother-in-law. If it weren't for his quick reaction, we would be in danger today." Young Marquis Su said gratefully.

"Yes, today was really thrilling. However, we can't just let go of Old Lady Wang's crimes. We must find a way to make sure she receives the punishment she deserves." Jiang Yan said firmly.

Su Jinli nodded, a determined light flashing in her eyes: "That's right, I must seek justice for my mother!"

After this thrilling experience, Jiang Yan and others are more determined to expose the crimes of Old Lady Wang. They know that the road ahead is still full of difficulties and obstacles, but they will not back down. They will make the truth known to the world and make the evildoers receive the punishment they deserve...

On the way back, Jiang Yan rode his horse while pondering his response. Although this trip to the Wang family was full of dangers, it also made them more aware of the cunning and treacherous nature of Old Lady Wang. If they wanted to bring her due punishment, they had to gather more solid evidence and be wary of her revenge.
