Time flowed by like a gurgling stream, and three days passed in a flash. On this day, the sky above the capital was as blue as a crystal gem, without a trace of impurities. The bright sunlight poured down without reservation, as if covering everything in the world with a layer of dazzling golden gauze, making it sparkle.
The Prince of Zhenguo, atop a towering, sleek horse, strode majestically toward the Jiang residence. The steed's steed was swift and agile, its hooves whirring with the wind, each stride a steady and powerful rhythm. The Prince wore a magnificent brocade robe, embroidered with intricate cloud patterns. The shimmered in the sunlight, like the flowing Milky Way. The jade belt around his waist, inlaid with smooth jade, shone with a soft and noble luster, further highlighting his noble status. His demeanor drew admiring glances from passersby, as if he had stepped from a painting.
Arriving at the gate of the Jiang Mansion, the Duke of Zhenguo stood tall, his head held high, his expression brimming with pride. He channeled his Qi into his Dantian and called out, "Jiang Nianli," his voice resonating like a bell, lingering in the air. "This prince has come here today to learn from your superior skills!" His tone was filled with provocation, his arrogance undisguised, as if he were certain of victory in this contest.
At that time, inside the Jiang residence, Nianli and Siyan were immersed in a world of accounting. Warm sunlight filtered through the carved windows, gently falling on them, creating patches of dappled light and shadow, like a poetic painting. Hearing the shouts from outside the courtyard, Nianli's previously focused eyes instantly flashed with a hint of excitement and disdain, like a stone dropped into a calm lake, causing ripples to spread. Without hesitation, she gently pushed the abacus, her movements crisp and clear, and then responded crisply, "Coming!" Before the words fell, she stood up quickly like a black gust of wind, strode to the corner of the wall in a few steps, and reached out to grab the toy sword.
This toy knife may seem ordinary, but it actually has a special origin. It was a birthday gift from Young Marquis Su to Nian Li. The wooden blade is polished to a mirror-smooth finish and feels soft to the touch, as if it has been meticulously polished countless times. The four characters "Number One Under Heaven" are engraved on it with powerful and sharp strokes, seemingly imbued with an invisible force, telling a unique and evocative story.
Seeing that Nian Li was holding a toy knife, the Prince of Zhenguo couldn't help but curl his lips into a sneer. His eyes revealed a hint of undisguised contempt, and he said with a hint of sarcasm, "Miss Jiang, please don't hurt yourself later." His words were filled with contempt for Nian Li, as if he believed she was just bluffing and that even if she attacked, it would be like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, unable to hurt him at all.
"Don't worry," Nian Li responded calmly, moving her wrists, the joints making crisp sounds as if warming up for the upcoming "battle." Her eyes were firm and sharp, like the cold stars twinkling in the night sky, revealing a determination that should not be underestimated. "I will only hurt your butt." Her tone was full of confidence, as if the prince before her was a mere opponent worth mentioning, and she did not take his provocation seriously at all.
The two men slowly stood in the courtyard, the air around them frozen as if by an invisible force, the tense atmosphere enveloping them like a net. The Prince of Zhenguo was the first to strike a stance. His posture was sturdy and upright, his feet firmly planted on the ground like a rock. His hands were clenched into fists, his palms slightly sweaty, and his eyes were fixed on Nian Li, like a cheetah poised for a fatal strike.
However, Nian Li did not play by the rules. Just when the prince was concentrating and thought that Nian Li was going to swing the knife to attack, she made an unexpected move. She suddenly threw the knife in her hand hard, and the knife drew an arc in the air, and then fell to the ground with a "clang". Taking advantage of the moment when the prince was stunned, Nian Li rushed over like a black lightning, and her speed was so fast that people had no time to react. She hugged the prince's legs tightly. This sudden move made the unsuspecting prince scream "Ouch", and the whole person lost balance in an instant, like a tree with its roots cut off, and fell heavily to the ground with a dull sound.
"You..." The prince was filled with shame and anger. A flush of red suddenly appeared on his face, and then it turned pale again, his expression changing constantly. He could never have imagined that Nian Li would use such a "rogue" move. He was about to struggle to get up, but Nian Li did not give him the chance. Nian Li's mouth curled up slightly, revealing a sly smile, like a little fox who had stolen something fishy. She raised her foot and kicked the prince's buttocks with a seemingly light but actually full force.
"Ouch!" With a shriek, the prince rolled out of the gate like a ball out of control. His once magnificent brocade robes were now stained with mud, becoming filthy and disheveled, completely losing their awe-inspiring presence. The maids and servants watching the scene stared wide-eyed, stunned at first, then desperately stifled laughter, their faces flushing like ripe tomatoes. Some even covered their mouths with their hands, their fingers turning white from the pressure, afraid that laughter would accidentally escape and shatter the delicate atmosphere.
At some point, Si Yan was already squatting by the door, fiddling with his abacus until it clattered non-stop. The crisp clatter of beads seemed like a unique melody he had composed for this farce. As he fiddled with the beads, he muttered to himself, "The prince fell down. Medical expenses are five taels, and mental damages are ten taels. Sister, you have to pay..." He looked so serious as he calculated the bill, as if it were just an ordinary transaction. In his eyes, everything in the world seemed to be measurable with numbers.
