Chapter 245: The whole family gathered at the Golden Wedding Banquet and talked about the sweetness of the past.

As time flowed by, Jiang Yan and Su Jinli walked hand in hand through fifty years of ups and downs, finally welcoming their golden wedding anniversary. This day, as if a gorgeous brocade specially woven by fate, filled the Jiang family with extraordinary excitement.

Jiang Siyan was determined to bring unparalleled splendor to his parents' golden wedding anniversary, making the preparations even more grand than those for Chinese New Year. The tranquil and peaceful retirement villa, meticulously decorated, was transformed into a brand new look. Lights and decorations were everywhere, and large red lanterns hung high swayed gently in the breeze, as if expressing joy. Even the koi in the villa's pond seemed to sense the festivities, their scales growing ever brighter and more vibrant. From afar, they resembled a burning flame, adding a vibrant and vibrant touch of color to the entire villa.

Pan'er, this lively and lovely little girl, was dressed in a brand new pomegranate-red dress today, looking like a delicate flower in full bloom. The hem of her skirt fluttered in the wind, like a fluttering butterfly. Her hair, adorned with an exquisite gold and jade headpiece, shone with a dazzling brilliance in the sunlight, making her look like a delicate doll. However, this lively and active little girl was deeply interested in Nian Li's boxing style and insisted on learning a few moves. As a result, her once-neat hairpiece became askew, adding a touch of playfulness and endearment to her.

"Pan'er!" Su Jinli looked at her, her eyes full of helplessness and doting. She walked forward gently and carefully helped her adjust her hair. "There will be guests coming soon. Please don't be so naughty anymore."

Pan'er pouted her pink little mouth and said reluctantly, "I know, grandma." She looked like a wronged kitten.

As he was speaking, Jiang Siyan walked in gracefully, dressed in a brand new purple robe. He held the abacus that he never left in his hand, and a happy smile on his face. He said, "Mom, Dad, the guests are all here, and we are waiting for you two to come on stage."

Jiang Yan slowly emerged from the inner chamber, clad in a brocade robe hand-sewn by Su Jinli. Embroidered upon it were vivid pine and crane designs, vibrant colors and delicate needlework. Every stitch and thread was imbued with Su Jinli's deep affection. Jiang Yan approached Su Jinli, bowed his head slightly, and whispered, "Are you ready?" His eyes were gentle and focused, as if Su Jinli was the only one in the world.

Su Jinli looked up at him. Time had left its mark on his face, his temples already gray, yet his eyes remained as gentle as they had been fifty years ago. Her thoughts drifted back to the past, to him then, dressed in a washed-out blue shirt, youthful yet full of life. On the busy street, he'd crouched down, competing with her for the sweet, alluring sugar painting. Now, time had flown by, and they'd already traveled half a century.

"Yes, I'm ready." Su Jinli nodded gently, a happy smile on her lips, and took Jiang Yan's arm. The two of them walked hand in hand, taking leisurely steps, towards the main hall.

Entering the main hall, I found it already packed with guests. Young Marquis Su, now a white-haired old marquis, had lost none of his fiery temper. His face flushed red as he engaged in a heated argument with Siyan's son, Pan'er's cousin Jiang Nianzu. Su Qingyao sat elegantly nearby, holding her newly blended rouge. She enthusiastically tested the color on Pan'er's cousin, Siyan's daughter-in-law, and offered occasional comments.

"Sister! Look at your son, he insists on forcing me to learn accounting. How could I understand that stuff!" Young Marquis Su pointed at Si Yan angrily, puffing his beard and glaring, looking like a naughty old boy.

Without even raising her head, Su Qingyao responded calmly, "Okay, why didn't you feel tired when you were carrying a big knife to scare people? Now you complain about the difficulty of learning to count." Her tone was a little teasing, but full of intimacy.

Everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter. The laughter echoed in the main hall, like a cheerful movement, playing the joyful melody of this celebration.

Nian Li, holding her newly born grandson, walked towards Su Jinli with light steps and a smile in her eyes, "Mom, Dad, congratulations!" The little grandson in her arms seemed to feel the festive atmosphere, grinning innocently at Su Jinli with his toothless mouth. Su Jinli happily took the child, and a warm feeling surged in her heart, as if she had returned to the warm days when her children were around her.

Seeing this, Jiang Yan walked into the hall, cleared his throat gently, and prepared to speak: "Today is the fiftieth anniversary of Jinli and I's marriage. Thank you very much to all our relatives and friends for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come together and witness our happy moment together..."

Before he could finish his words, Su Jinli interrupted him with a smile: "Alright, alright, stop with all that nonsense. Siyan, quickly take out the gift you prepared!" Her eyes revealed a hint of eagerness and anticipation, as if she couldn't wait to see her son's intentions.

Si Yan hurried forward, holding an exquisite brocade box respectfully, and handed it to his parents: "Dad, Mom, this is a gold-inlaid jade abacus that I specially had made. Your names are engraved on it."

Su Jinli gently opened the brocade box, revealing a small, exquisite abacus nestled quietly within. Its beads were crafted from soft, mellow Hetian jade, delicate and warm to the touch. The frame, crafted from pure gold, shone with a luxurious luster. Sure enough, the words "Jiang Yan" and "Su Jinli" were clearly engraved on the abacus, each stroke a testament to the deep affection of time.

"You, all you know is to waste money." Su Jinli pretended to complain, but her eyes were filled with relief and a smile. This smile was like the warm spring sun, warming the hearts of everyone present.
