Chapter 2: Stunning Beauty, Classroom Questions

Chapter 2: Stunning Beauty, Classroom Questions

The moment the girl stepped into the classroom, it was like pressing the pause button.

The class, which was as noisy as a vegetable market, suddenly became silent.

The sunlight shone on her side face, her fair little face was flawless, and it seemed as if you could see the blue blood vessels under the skin.

Her eyebrows are black without any makeup, her lips are red without any lipstick, and even her eyelashes are longer than those of ordinary people.

When those peach blossom eyes swept across lightly, everyone felt the flowing spirit and energy.

Jiang Fuyue slung her schoolbag over one shoulder and found her seat based on the original owner's memory.

She was tall and took long steps, which made her look even longer and more slender, and free and easy, completely different from the original owner's gloomy and aloof appearance.

The journey took only a few seconds, but the students watching her felt as if they were watching a slow-motion movie.

"No...why did she sit in Jiang Fuyue's seat?"

"Has our class announced that we're going to have new students?"

"Anyway, I haven't heard Lao Xu mention it..."

"This girl definitely isn't from our school. Otherwise, with her looks and figure, she should be the most beautiful girl in the school, right?"

"She's actually wearing makeup! If Tie Zhuang catches her, she'll be dead!"

Tiezhuang is the nickname of the senior high school dean of studies.

"Open your titanium eyes and see, I'm not wearing any makeup, OK?"

"I'm dead."

“…”

"Holy shit!" someone reacted. "Look at her backpack...how come it's exactly the same as Jiang Fuyue's? I don't think it's possible to be such a coincidence, right? Haha..."

The other students came to their senses.

"Damn! Did Jiang Fuyue have plastic surgery?"

"Why do I feel like I've changed my head?"

“…”

The classroom returned to its previous noisy state.

Jiang Fuyue did not fail to hear the discussions, but her expression remained unchanged as she calmly took out her English textbook.

The girl sitting at the same table couldn't help but secretly glance at her and was immediately stunned.

Because she was so close, she was very sure that Jiang Fuyue was not wearing any makeup. She had naturally fair skin and not even a pore could be found.

Of course, Jiang Fu Yue has always been very fair, but for some reason today she is particularly... eye-catching.

From the moment she stepped into the classroom, all the classmates became sunflowers, and Jiang Fuyue was the sun that attracted them to chase.

It is bright and golden.

Wan Xiutong's face unconsciously flashed with envy, but the moment Jiang Fuyue looked over, it turned into nervousness and panic: "I... I wasn't looking at you!"

Thinking of her classmate's fickle personality, she tried to distance herself from the matter, but she forgot what it meant to "try to cover up one's own faults".

Wan Xiutong was very annoyed and shrank her neck, waiting for Jiang Fuyue's cold eyes or sarcasm.

This is the original owner, gloomy and mean, withdrawn and extreme, just like every girl in her middle school years. In addition, she doesn't like to talk, which makes her seem even more deep, dark and frightening.

Wan Xiutong had been her deskmate since the second semester of high school. They hadn't had any major conflicts, but Jiang Fuyue would occasionally look at her as if she were an idiot.

This silent humiliation is more hurtful than verbal attacks. Wan Xiutong was scared and tried to avoid Jiang Fuyue whenever possible.

But this time it was different. Wan Xiutong didn't see the familiar contempt and disgust in those eyes. It seemed... it was just an ordinary glance, light, casual and indifferent.

For the first time, she discovered that Jiang Fuyue’s eyes were so beautiful!

At 7:50, morning reading ends.

Jiang Fuyue finished reading the English book and started reading the Chinese book.

This time he flipped through the pages even faster, as if he was just flipping through them for fun, but he managed to cover every page without missing a single one.

Wan Xiutong: “?”

At this time, the class representative stood up and said: "Everyone, please pass your math homework forward..."

Jiang Fuyue sat in the last row. Logically, this group should have started with her, but the student in front of her passed the homework to the front without even waiting for her.

When the class representative was counting, he scanned each student from front to back, and finally his eyes fell on Jiang Fuyue's face, and he understood in an instant.

Without saying anything, he left in a hurry with a stack of exercise books.

Jiang Fuyue suddenly realized that she had almost forgotten that the original owner was a poor student who never handed in homework.

Classes officially start at 8 o'clock.

The first and second classes were all Chinese. A young and beautiful female teacher stood on the podium. Even though she taught classical Chinese, many students listened with great interest.

Jiang Fuyue had already finished reading mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and history. She casually stacked the brand new textbooks in the upper left corner of the desk. She had also read half of the political science book in her arms, leaving only geography untouched.

During the break, Jiang Fuyue went to the toilet.

The person at the front table immediately turned around: "Tongtong, what's going on?"

"Ah?" Wan Xiutong looked up, her eyes blank.

"Jiang Fuyue!" Lin Qiao stamped her feet. "Why did she suddenly change so much? I almost didn't recognize her."

"I don't know either……"

Just ten minutes into the second class, Jiang Fuyue finished reading the geography lesson and began to sleep.

"...Now let's summarize the multiple meanings of a word in this classical Chinese text. Starting with the word '引', I'll first explain its meaning in the text, and then list a few other meanings. I'll invite a student to answer..." Cui Jiaying's beautiful eyes shifted to the back of the classroom, and she frowned slightly. "Jiang Fuyue, you come."

Wan Xiutong: "Wake up...the teacher is calling you..."

Jiang Fuyue was pushed awake.

The moment he looked up, his eyes suddenly became clear, and he found that everyone's eyes, including the Chinese teacher, were on him.

She stood up steadily -

"The word '引' in the text '引壶駞以自醉' means to take or fetch."

Cui Jiaying was a little surprised. Jiang Fuyue was the unshakable last in the class of Grade 2-3, and his attitude towards studying was extremely careless.

Originally, she didn't care. Like other subject teachers, she "drew a clear line" with this problem student and "let them live their own lives."

But Jiang Fuyue really went too far this time. He actually slept in her class blatantly!

Cui Jiaying felt that she had to be taught a lesson, otherwise what would happen if other students followed suit?

"Very good," the young teacher nodded slightly, his mind racing, but with an expectant and encouraging smile on his face. "Tell me a few more ideas, and remember to bring the original text."

Jiang Fuyue's expression remained unchanged——

"After a year, the Hu people invaded the border in large numbers, and the able-bodied men drew their bows and fought" is from "A Blessing in Disguise", see page 82, line 6 of the textbook. "Draw" is a verb, meaning to draw a bow.

"Seeing Lian Po, Xiangru pulled his carriage and hid" is from "The Biography of Lian Po and Lin Xiangru (excerpt)", see page 109, line 9 of the textbook. "引" means to pull or draw.

The third line on the next page says, "He set up a ceremony of nine guests in the court and invited the envoy from Zhao, Lin Xiangru." The "invite" here means to summon.

"I dare to express my humble thoughts and respectfully write a brief introduction" comes from "Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng", see the 5th line of the note at the bottom of page 128 of the textbook. "Introduction" means preface or preface.

"It is not appropriate to underestimate oneself and make inappropriate analogies" comes from "The Memorial to the Emperor on the Preface to the Expedition", see the third question in the after-class exercises on page 77 of the textbook. "引" means to quote.

Jiang Fuyue finished speaking in one breath and saw that the whole class was stunned. The Chinese teacher was staring at her intently and couldn't help frowning.

Isn't what's in the textbook enough? Should we expand on what's outside the classroom?

She thought for a moment and continued, "On the first day of the month, Cao's army was at a disadvantage, so he retreated to the north of the Yangtze River. This is from the Zizhi Tongjian. If it's the third printing of the first edition published by Guangming Daily, it should be on page 125 of Volume 11, "Han Ji Wuqi", line 9. 'Retrieve' means to avoid."

Sister Yue: I accidentally installed a big X.
