Chapter Sixty-Seven: Let Uncle Mo Be Our Father

"But Erni, all the other children in the village have fathers and mothers who love them, only we don't," Dani advised.

“But Dad doesn’t love us either. What difference does it make whether he has us or not?” Erni shrugged; she no longer needed her father’s love.

“Dad made a mistake before, and now he regrets it, doesn’t he? Dad even bought us some snacks last time, and you ate some too,” Da Ni continued.

"Didn't you tell me to eat that? Sister, do you want your father and mother to live together?" Erni finally realized what was happening.

“Father and Mother should live together.” Da Ni couldn’t understand. “Er Ni, it’s right for Father and Mother to live together. Our way of life is wrong, it’s different from others.”

"Sister, your reasoning won't convince me. I disagree." Erni shook her head. She didn't think she had to be like everyone else. She was a unique individual.

"Erni, you're a girl, spending all your time learning kung fu from Uncle Mo and running around the village like a madwoman. You don't even help your mother or look after Sanni. I don't blame you for those things, but you can't be so unreasonable when it comes to your father and mother's affairs." Dani was a little angry.

“Sister, is it immature of me not to support Mom and Dad being together? I just feel that Mom and Dad wouldn’t be happy together. If it’s only normal to have both a father and a mother, then why not let Uncle Mo be our father?” Erni felt that Mo Bei better fit her expectations of a father.

"Erni, if you keep talking nonsense like that, I'll get angry. I won't talk to you anymore." Dani frowned, objecting!

"Fine, I won't talk to you anymore, I'm ignoring you too. Humph!" Erni pouted.
