Chapter 327 Min Pan'er
Min Yuexi wasn't angry. She even bowed respectfully to Min Rongfu before leaving.
Once outside, she put away all her expressions and coldly instructed the servant at the door, "Keep a close eye on the Marquis, and report back immediately if anything happens."
"Yes, sir." The two servants replied respectfully.
Min Yuexi raised her head and walked away with a determined look in her eyes.
She came today not only to anger Min Rong, but also to tell him that she would be in charge of Xuanping Marquis from now on!
The reason she made such a high-profile appearance at the banquet when her grandmother was away from Beijing and her father was punished was to let everyone know that the connections that originally belonged to her grandmother had now gathered behind her.
At the same time, she was also announcing to everyone that she, Min Yuexi, was the new head of the Xuanping Marquis's mansion!
As Min Yuexi walked toward her Ruyun Pavilion, she instructed Yu Hua, "Go and prepare some valuable gifts to send to the Zhong family for Miss Zhong Liu. Tell her that you thank her for speaking up for me at the banquet at the Yongchang Marquis's residence."
"Yes," Yu Hua quickly agreed.
"Have someone prepare some fresh fruits and snacks to send to the Duke of Jin's residence, the Marquis of Yongning's residence, and the Earl of Enping's residence. These are all families who are very close to Grandmother. If the gifts are too expensive, it will seem like we are not close."
"Miss, you've thought this through very well. I'll go arrange it right away." Yu Hua hurriedly set off to do so.
"Wait," Min Yuexi called out to them again.
"Is there anything else you need, Miss?"
Min Yuexi hesitated for a moment before saying, "Prepare an extra portion of fresh fruits and snacks to send to Third Aunt's side."
Yu Hua asked in confusion, "Miss, are you referring to the third branch of the family?"
Third Master was already at odds with the Marquis's mansion, and now that he's dead, trying to appease them will bring no benefit whatsoever.
Moreover, the Third Madam's family and the Marquis's mansion are mortal enemies.
Yu Hua didn't feel that her young lady needed to curry favor with that side.
Min Yuexi nodded and instructed, "Yes, tell the person who goes to be polite. Also, ask Auntie if she needs anything. If so, have someone come back and let me know."
Seeing Min Yuexi's attitude, Yu Hua quickly understood the reason and flattered her with a smile: "Miss is kind-hearted, trustworthy, and filial. If the old lady knew that Miss takes such good care of the Third Madam, she would be very happy."
Min Yuexi remained noncommittal and waved for Yu Hua to go prepare the gift.

Min Qiaoshi was unaware of how Min Yuexi schemed and plotted in the capital, feigning weakness to gain sympathy.
She now opens her eyes to watch plays every day, and her life couldn't be happier.
Ever since Jiang Hongling suffered a loss at the hands of Huan Zhen and Wen Xiu, she has been fixated on the two of them and insisted on becoming their disciple.
"Master, why aren't you smiling? Is it that if you keep a cold face, you can concentrate and learn powerful skills without distraction?"
Jiang Hongling imitated Zhen Huan's stern face, and even added her own flair, frowning and putting on a bitter and resentful expression, asking Zhen Huan, "Master Zhen Huan, do you think this is how it is?"
They simply ignored her.
She just sat there making faces and playing by herself for ages.
When they were on their way, she leaned closer and asked, "Master, can you ride a horse? I'm really good at riding! I'll teach you how to ride, and you can teach me how to wield a dagger and throw hidden weapons!"
When they stopped to cook on the road, she volunteered to cook for Zhen Huan again, claiming that she was personally serving her master. In the end, she made a pile of garbage, but she still eagerly presented it to Zhen Huan, insisting that he try it...
Finally, unable to bear the harassment any longer, he went into hiding again and became a bodyguard for Madam Min.
Jiang Hongling was completely stumped, unable to find the real person anywhere.
Now, at least we can finally have some peace and quiet. But poor Wenxiu is in trouble again.
After two days, Wenxiu, whose temperament was much better than Zhenzhen's, was so tormented that she developed murderous intent towards Jiang Hongling.
If it weren't for Madam Min Qiao stopping her, Wen Xiuzhen would have loved to kill Jiang Hongling with a single blow.
Fortunately, Jiang Hongling's two maids were perceptive. Whenever they saw Wenxiu becoming impatient, they would quickly find various excuses to pull her away.
The group continued their lively journey for another three days, and the procession entered Huizhou Prefecture, getting very close to their final destination.
Madam Min sent someone on horseback to Huizhou City to inform Weijia and Ajiu that she was almost there.
Her bringing so many people along is bound to attract a lot of attention. To prevent any unforeseen circumstances, it's best to have them prepare in advance.
Their destination was within reach, and it seemed the group would arrive in Huizhou City without incident. However, trouble struck no sooner than the messenger sent by Madam Min Qiao left.
Min Qiaoshi was taking a nap in the carriage when the carriage, which had been moving smoothly, suddenly stopped.
They quickly helped Min Qiao up, while A Shuang lifted the carriage curtain to ask what happened: "What's wrong?"
Before the coachman could answer, the old woodcutter who was at the front of the group had already ridden back.
"Grandma, a girl suddenly darted out from somewhere, startled the horse, and was almost trampled to death. She's fainted from fright now."
Madam Min frowned and instructed, "A-Shuang, take some people and go take a look."
"Yes," A-Shuang replied, got off the carriage, and led Wen-Xiu and A-Si forward.
However, before they could get there, they heard Jiang Hongling's startled voice.
"Min Pan'er!? Min Pan'er, wake up! Wake up quickly!"
Min Qiaoshi heard Jiang Hongling's ghostly screams and cries from inside the car.
He wondered to himself, could this girl who had fainted be the lost cousin that Jiang Hongling had mentioned?
Moreover, his surname is Min?
Are they from the Min family?
Huizhou is the ancestral home of the Marquis of Xuanping and a place where the Min family relatives live together.
Although she didn't know the specifics of the Min family on her ancestral home, she did know that the Min family was the largest and most prominent family in Huizhou.
After five or six generations of management, the Min family must have already flourished.
Even if this Min Pan'er really is a member of the Min family, she wouldn't find it strange.
After a quick check of Min Pan'er's condition, and confirming that apart from being a little dirty, having messy clothes and hair, and looking a little thin, she had no external injuries, Ah Shuang asked Wen Xiu to help carry her to the carriage in the back.
Ah Shuang returned and gave a brief report on the situation: the person had been frightened and fainted, but was otherwise unharmed.
Just as Madam Min Qiao had heard, this Min Pan'er was the cousin Jiang Hongling was looking for.
Seeing that Ah Shuang looked like she wanted to say something but hesitated, Madam Min Qiao couldn't help but ask curiously, "Just say what you want to say."
“That Miss Min is so beautiful!” A Shuang thought for a moment before saying, “Whether it’s Sister Wei Jia or Zhen Huan now, their appearances are outstanding. But compared to this Miss Min, they are far inferior.”
Madam Min Qiao looked at A Shuang in astonishment, "Is there such a stunning beauty in the world?"
