She placed the teacup on the desk quietly, trying not to make a sound, but when she looked up, she was stunned.
A giant black scorpion, as long as her forearm, was slowly climbing up Huo Jingsha's shoulder with its tail raised. She immediately knew that this scorpion must be highly venomous, and given its enormous size, it must contain a lot of toxins. If she were stung by its tail, she would probably be half-dead, if not killed.
In the blink of an eye, the scorpion was already close to Huo Jingsha's neck. Her mind raced, and seeing the scorpion raise its tail high, about to sting his neck, she immediately shouted at the last second.
"Don't move, sir!" At the same time, he struck out and swung his hand forcefully at the man's shoulder.
Huo Jingsha's eyes suddenly snapped open. He caught sight of a dark shadow out of the corner of his eye, and immediately flicked his sleeve to throw a hidden weapon. A dart embedded the scorpion's body in the wall in just a few seconds.
He got up and came over, staring at the scorpion whose blade was firmly embedded in the wall with a gloomy look, and snorted coldly.
"What a huge poisonous scorpion! Someone, come here!"
At his summons, two guards rushed in, and their expressions changed drastically upon seeing what was on the wall.
The manor was heavily guarded, and it was thought that the lord was protected impenetrably, yet even the most meticulous plans had a loophole, and someone let in such a large, poisonous scorpion. The mastermind behind this was truly brilliant, killing without a trace, and the methods were incredibly vicious.
"Search immediately, leave no room unchecked, and see if there are any other poisonous substances."
Upon receiving the order, the guards began searching the house, while Huo Jingsha turned to look at You Shuyao with approval in her eyes.
“Not bad, you did very well, Your Majesty…” He suddenly stopped, staring at You Shuyao’s deathly pale face.
You Shuyao felt a burning heat from the back of her hand to her arm, but her whole body was cold and she was dizzy. She gradually couldn't see clearly what was in front of her. She blankly raised her hand to look at it and found that the back of her hand was red and purple. Only then did she realize that she must have been stung by the poisonous scorpion when she swatted it away.
