Chapter 171 Can’t Get Out

Xia Zhibai calculated the location of the dry well and went there.

Looking down at the bottom of the well, it is so deep that you can’t see the bottom at a glance.

But there were waves shaking, and the sunlight shining through was a bit dazzling.

There was something under the water, but she couldn't get down there now.

Because there was a seal in the well, if she broke it, Mo Ningle would be able to sense it from a distance.

"Hey, let's go to the attic and take a look."

She felt that there was something strange about the attic, and that the eerie ghostly aura was emanating from there.

Thinking of this, she put a few talismans on herself to conceal her aura and quietly went up to the attic.

"Locked?" Seeing that there was a lock on the second floor, Xia Zhibai walked to the first floor again, found a somewhat dilapidated window, pinched his fingers, and went straight in.

The attic is not small, with three bedrooms and two living rooms. The first floor looks clean and there is not much dust on the ground.

"No one lives there, and they're still cleaning. Ha, interesting."

She stood in the living room and looked around. There were some withered bonsai trees and dry soil scattered around the floor-to-ceiling windows.

It doesn't look like someone has taken care of it.

"It looks like this place hasn't been taken care of in a long time."

Xia Zhibai was a little confused. This soil was very fertile black soil.

It is good for growing green plants.

However, these green plants do not look like they were grown twenty years ago, but they also do not look like they have been grown for a long time.

Xia Zhibai reached out and gently broke a dry branch, which made a crisp sound and made her frown.

"It's a bit too fast to die."

She pinched it lightly with her fingers, and it turned into ash and disappeared into the air.

Pan Shanshan, who had climbed to the edge of her pocket and was watching all this, was very surprised and said, "Master, I seem to have seen these flower pots before."

"when?"

"Two months ago, my stepmother had some of these flower pots moved in. They were half a meter tall and pitch black. I happened to see them when I came back from outside."

Xia Zhibai knew that she was remembered because she was too special.

"Later, she got some green plants from somewhere and worked all night. I asked her if she needed my help, but she only asked me to help mix the soil and then told me to go and rest, saying she would come back tomorrow when she was free."

"But when I woke up the next morning, the front yard was clean and those things were gone. She wasn't in the house either. I thought she thought it looked ugly and returned it, so I didn't ask any questions."

Pan Shanshan didn't know why Xia Zhibai was looking at these things, and looked confused.

There is something wrong with the soil and everything in it. Logically speaking, she put it here and took care of it, so it is impossible for these green plants to die.

Suddenly she thought of a problem. All the plants in the house and the yard were dead.

"Don't talk, I'll go check the other rooms."

Xia Zhibai reminded Pan Shanshan that the man and the ghost lived in harmony. Pan Shanshan stopped talking but still looked around carefully.

She had never been to this backyard since she could remember.

There were several paintings hanging on the walls of the corridor. One of them was an abstract cat with black fur all over its body. It had a knife under one of its paws and a book in the other. The cover of the book was of the Teletubbies that she knew and liked.

Xia Zhibai also noticed that the painting was a bit strange and couldn't help but take a few more glances at it.

"This Teletubby is a bit weird." Xia Zhibai reached out and touched his smooth chin, with an unfathomable look on his face.

Pan Shanshan, who was lying on the edge of the pocket, looked at her with admiration, and there was a hint of color in her gray eyes.

After saying that, Xia Zhibai looked at her again, his eyes fell on the clothes she was wearing, which also happened to have such a picture on it.

"It's a bit like the clothes you're wearing."

"It's a bit similar." Pan Shanshan felt a little uneasy. She felt that she looked so horrible that she didn't dare to look at her directly for a second longer.

Next was a painting of a puppy, its yellow golden hair lying limply on the ground, its eyelids half-closed, as if it had no strength, but it was holding a knife in its mouth.

What's weird is the small green hat on its head. There's an open eye in the middle of the hat, a dark red mole under the eye, and tiny tentacles around it, extending in all directions.

"What the hell is so scary?"

Pan Shanshan was frightened and her voice was sharp and fearful.

Fortunately, Xia Zhibai had added several talismans to herself, so only she could hear the scream.

"Don't shout, don't shout, these eyes look familiar."

Xia Zhibai patted her head gently and soothed her in a low voice.

After saying that, she looked at it carefully again and found that it did look familiar.

"Pan Yue." She whispered in her heart, then lowered her head to look at Pan Shanshan who had slipped back into her pocket.

I haven't recognized this little girl yet.

Pan Yue has a mole under her eye.

Does this painting have anything to do with Pan Yue?

She took another closer look, then scanned the wall. There were several paintings of animals like this hanging on the wall, and each one was very strange.

But she saw a painting that was not yet finished. It only had a dragon head painted on it. There were some paints and papers on the ground. The easel was leaning against the door of the second room. The door was not closed and a light shone through.

"These paintings all have one thing in common: there's a knife in the painting."

Xia Zhibai patted Pan Shanshan's head and whispered, "This painting is of you. There are nine completed works here. She must have killed nine people. There are a few unfinished ones, but they all have knives on them, so they must be in progress."

Xia Zhibai seemed to have thought of something when she said this, and she turned back and pushed the door. The door she had originally entered through was now motionless, and no matter how hard she pushed it, it was useless.

I can't use spiritual power, it's too weird here.
