"Are you not hurt?" Shen Yu asked.
Li Shu shook her head. "I'm so powerful, there must be no more."
"Really?" Shen Yu looked at her, "Let me check it out."
"How can I check this? You're not a doctor." Li Shu said, "Besides, did you see the wound on my face?"
"What about you?"
"You definitely don't have any on you. What's wrong? Do you still want me to take off all my clothes for you to check?"
Shen Yu raised his eyebrows slightly, "It's not impossible."
"Get lost." Li Shu scolded with a smile.
Chen Yu curled the corners of his lips, raised his hand and touched the top of her head, then stood up from the chair, "It's getting late, go to bed early, I'll go back first."
Li Shu looked up at him and said, "It's snowing so heavily and it's so late. What are you going to do back home? Why don't you sleep here?"
Chen Yu glanced at the bed inside and asked, "Sleep here with you?"
"What else?" Li Shu asked back.
"One bed, is that okay?"
"Why don't you sleep on the floor instead of the bed?"
Li Shu felt that he was too nagging, so she stood up and pulled him to the bed, then took off her coat and got on the bed first.
She sat inside and raised her hand to pat the seat outside, "Come up."
After standing there for a few seconds, Shen Yu took off his coat and sat on the bed.
Li Shu lay down flat on her back upon seeing this and said, "Go to sleep."
Shen Yu hummed and lay down beside her.
Li Shu turned sideways and looked at Shen Yu's handsome profile quietly without saying a word.
Chen Yu also turned sideways to face her, "What's wrong?"
Li Shu shook her head. "It's okay. I just remembered something you said earlier."
"Which sentence?"
“The best people are around.”
Shen Yu's deep eyes were filled with soft light. He stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly reached out and held her in his arms. He then kissed her on the forehead and said with a smile, "Go to sleep."
Li Shu hummed and shrank into his arms. The faint scent of pine wood after the snow lingered on her nose, and she closed her eyes peacefully.
Chen Yu looked at the sleeping face of the girl in his arms, then raised his hand to look at the watch on his wrist. When the hour, minute, and second hands all pointed to twelve o'clock, he whispered in Li Shu's ear, "Happy New Year."
"Happy New Year, Shen Yu."
