With a dark expression, Zhao Xi walked through the crowd to the very center.
"Oh dear, Huang Zhiqing, Su Zhiqing, are you alright?" Zhao Xi asked with concern, her face showing worry.
Seeing that Huang Feiyan's mind was still on her brother, Su Xiao thought to herself, "Little infatuated girl, there's no doubt about it."
She pinched Huang Feiyan slightly, and said to Zhao Xi with a stern face, "Luckily my brother came, otherwise there might have been bloodshed today."
Huang Feiyan also came to her senses, and said angrily and fearfully, "Yes, the knife was almost in front of me, I was just a hair's breadth away from losing my life. Secretary Zhao, you have to do justice for me. The security in Xiaheshan Village is really worrying. It's terrifying that something like this has happened once or twice in broad daylight."
As she spoke, she patted her chest, expressing her grievances.
Zhao Xi gave an awkward laugh, nodded with a flicker in his eyes, and said, "It really is outrageous."
The scene became awkward for a moment. Zhao Xi looked at Su Qiang and quickly stepped forward to shake hands and exchange pleasantries. "Oh, this must be Su Zhiqing's brother. He's a soldier, young and promising. Su Zhiqing, I've never heard you mention him before."
"Secretary Zhao." Su Qiang's smile vanished as Zhao Xi entered the circle, replaced by a serious expression as he watched the situation unfold.
At this point, Zhao Xi took the initiative to strike up a conversation, and Su Qiang, without holding back, stood up for his sister, saying, "The security in your village is really terrible. They dare to commit violence in broad daylight. Secretary Zhao, what do you think we should do to resolve this?"
Su Qiang had just come down from the battlefield. When he wasn't smiling or exuding a fierce aura, his eyes revealed a murderous intent.
Zhao Xi shuddered under his gaze, a sense of unease rising within him. He had only one thought: this man was not to be trifled with.
"Don't worry, I will give you a satisfactory explanation." He forced his gaze away and looked at the woman curled up on the ground. Unable to suppress his anger, he looked around and said, "Zhao Xing, where is she? Get out here."
They couldn't find him in the crowd, but someone who had seen him immediately reported it, saying, "I just saw him run away with his mother."
"Yes, yes, I just saw Old Mrs. Zhao sneaking around the corner, peeking out suspiciously."
One person in the crowd spoke up, and others echoed him, and suddenly everyone started discussing it.
"Wasn't Tian Jinhua locked up by Zhao Xing? How did she get out?"
"Yes, when I passed by the Zhao family today, I heard some noise inside. Old Mrs. Zhao was cursing at Tian Jinhua, who was locked in the woodshed."
"Could it be that the Zhao family deliberately let Tian Jinhua go?"
Some people tentatively guessed, and then the more everyone thought about it, the more likely it seemed, and they immediately became indignant.
"Let's go, let's go to his house and take a look..."
A group of people rushed towards the Zhao family's house.
Zhao Xi's eye twitched slightly. She turned to Su Xiao and asked, "Su Qingqing, shall we go take a look too?"
Su Xiao nodded, "Okay, I'll do whatever the secretary says."
This time, she planned to give him face, and she believed that after what happened last time, he would handle the matter impartially this time.
The group arrived at the Zhao family's house in a grand procession, only to find the gate locked from the inside. Immediately, everyone understood what was going on and angrily pounded on the door, shouting, "Zhao Xing, open the door! Come out and explain to us whether you deliberately let Tian Jinhua out."
The crowd shouted for a while, but there was no response from the courtyard, which angered them so much that they cursed incessantly.
"Climb over the wall and go in," someone in the crowd said.
