When Old Master Qin returned, Old Madam Qin eagerly awaited his return.
"Old man, come here quickly, I have good news." Old Madam Qin waved to him excitedly and happily.
"Hehe, what good news has made you so excited?" Old Master Qin holds an important position and is usually very busy with official duties, so they generally don't bother him with family matters. He doesn't know about this yet.
"Great news!" Old Madam Qin didn't keep them in suspense and said directly, "The results are in, Xiaoxiao is our granddaughter."
"Boom!" Tong Aizhen could hardly believe her ears; what she heard was incredible.
"Hahaha..." Old Master Qin laughed heartily, "I knew it, it couldn't be wrong. That little girl has the shadow of Yu Mei, and that spirit in her bones, she is a child of the Qin family."
"Yes, I had a feeling from the very first glance. And sure enough, it turned out to be true." Old Madam Qin said with emotion, "After all the twists and turns, we've finally got a good result."
"Yes, things will only get better from now on," Old Master Qin said with a smile. "When can we invite her over for a casual meal?"
"It's all agreed, I'll come over on Sunday."
"Oh dear, that's still several days away."
The two continued their conversation as if no one else was around, while Tong Aizhen had become numb to it all.

After dinner that day, Tong Aizhen felt unwell, but she suppressed it so that Qin Yulong wouldn't notice.
Qin Yulong originally wanted to keep her temper in check, so he slept alone in the study and naturally didn't know that Tong Aizhen developed a low-grade fever in the middle of the night.
When Aunt Tong arrived, Madam Qin was reading the newspaper in the living room. Upon seeing Madam Qin, Aunt Tong appeared very reserved, even somewhat frightened. "Hello, Madam Qin."
Madam Qin didn't even lift her eyelids, "I'm not well."
Tong's mother was so frightened by what Old Madam Qin said that she didn't dare to move.
"You've come to see Aizhen?" Old Madam Qin looked up, her eyes sharp as she looked at her.
"Yes, yes." Mother Tong's body trembled slightly, frightened.
"Why are you looking for her?" Old Madam Qin's tone was cold and hard. "Haven't you ruined her enough? A minister's wife, acting like a vulgar shrew, showing her face in public, making a fool of herself..."
Standing at the top of the stairs on the second floor, listening to Old Madam Qin's words in the living room below, Tong Aizhen felt her last bit of energy drain away, and she collapsed to the ground, forcing a bitter smile.
