Little Fatty's already bright eyes lit up even more. "Thank you, sister."
Without hesitation, he immediately grabbed the candy, as if afraid she would change her mind.
Su Xiao just smiled and said, "Little Fatty, can you show me around? I'm not familiar with this place, can you show me around?"
“Okay.” Little Fatty readily agreed. It was too easy for him, after all, he knew everything about the village like the back of his hand.
"Sister, this is the home of the brigade leader of our third brigade. The brigade leader is my second uncle, and next door is my second grandfather's house. My second grandfather is a high-ranking official in the village... My house is right behind here. We have a big wolfhound. It's very fierce when it sees strangers. If you come to my house, please don't go straight into the yard..."
The chubby boy pointed out each house to us, chattering away. After a round of visits, he had pretty much figured out the village.
Xiaheshan Village is divided into three brigades, with a small river running through it. The river branches off to form the boundaries: the first and second brigades are located south of the river, while the third brigade is located north of the river.
The educated youth compound was located in the Third Brigade because the Tian family, a wealthy local family, lived there. The current educated youth compound is the former residence of the Tian family.
The village is only so big; you can walk around it in no time.
Looking at the mountains behind her, Su Xiao asked with a hint of excitement, "Can we go for a walk on those mountains over there?"
Oh, mountains, I wonder if there are any local specialties in these mountains.
“You can’t go over there in the mountains. My grandparents said there are wild boars and wolves in the mountains. Our big wolfhound is a cub born from a wolf that ran down from the mountain. This left Su Xiao unsure whether it was true or just a trick the old man had made up to fool the child.
Looking at Shu Bowen, Shu Bowen also shrugged speechlessly, looking completely bewildered.
Feeling somewhat unwilling to be stuck with this treasure trove, Su Xiao couldn't very well argue with the child since they had spoken up. She decided to wait until she was alone to go by herself, knowing she had her own spatial ability and wasn't worried about wild boars or anything like that.
"Hey, what's that row of small houses over there?" After walking a few more steps, Su Xiao suddenly noticed that behind the educated youth compound, at the foot of the mountain, there were several rows of small houses, hidden among a grove of trees, appearing and disappearing in the distance.
"I know where it is, it's the village's livestock farm, where they raise pigs, sheep, cattle, chickens, ducks, and geese for the team," Little Fatty excitedly raised his hand to answer.
Su Xiao asked in surprise, "Does our team raise so many livestock?"
"That's right, our brigade is the richest brigade in the surrounding villages, and we've even been praised by the leaders..."
