Chapter 189, /.

When Grandpa Gu was hospitalized, his relatives and friends naturally came to visit him.

The Qin family was the first to receive the news, and as soon as they did, Old Madam Qin and Qin Yumei rushed over without stopping.

As a daughter-in-law, Qin Yumei had been separated from Gu Tingjiang for more than ten years, but they were not divorced. Since Old Master Gu had an accident, she should have come to take care of him.

"Dad, are you alright?" Qin Yumei felt very guilty in front of Grandpa Gu, and stood very reservedly in front of his bed.

Grandpa Gu, however, remained calm and showed no dissatisfaction with his daughter-in-law.

The old man has experienced many ups and downs in his life and has a profound understanding of life. Life is full of hardships, and each one is one less to go through. He only hopes that the two young people can stay true to themselves, overcome difficulties, and usher in the light.

"Xiao Mei's here, and so are your in-laws. Please have a seat," Grandpa Gu greeted them with a smile.

"My dear in-law, what happened to you? You're so badly injured. Are you feeling better now?" Old Madam Qin asked him with concern.

"I'm fine, I'm lucky I won't die." Old Master Gu was quite optimistic.

Seeing this, Madam Qin felt somewhat relieved and sat down to inquire about the situation.

Gu Yi recounted the events from the side, which were thrilling and dramatic. Hearing that it was Elder Hua who saved Old Master Gu with a few silver needles, they respected Elder Hua even more. When they heard that Su Xiaoxiao had stayed by Old Master Gu's side all night, they all felt envious. The most shocking thing was that Su Xiaoxiao admitted to having the jade pendant. Qin Yumei burst into tears upon hearing this news and stood up to go find Su Xiaoxiao.

Qin Yumei was impulsive, but Old Madam Qin was not reckless. Seeing that Gu Yiming hadn't finished speaking, she immediately pulled Qin Yumei back, "Xiaomei, don't rush, sit down first."

Qin Yumei looked at Old Madam Qin through teary eyes. Seeing her serious expression, she blinked and sat down, then took out a handkerchief to wipe away her tears. At this moment, she realized her mistake and felt very embarrassed.

Seeing that she had calmed down, Madam Qin looked at Gu Yi again. Gu Yi continued, talking about Su Xiaoxiao's concerns and Dr. Cui's solution.

When Qin Yumei heard that there was a way to prove that Xiaoxiao was her daughter, she couldn't help but burst into tears of joy.

Old Master Gu glanced at Qin Yumei out of the corner of his eye and sighed silently.

"This is wonderful news," said Madam Qin with a smile.

“Yes, that’s right,” Grandpa Gu agreed. “I knew I would find my granddaughter.”

"Congratulations, in-laws," Old Madam Qin agreed.

"Congratulations to you too." In a good mood, Old Master Gu forgot his pain, and his brows and eyes relaxed.

Gu Tingjiang left the hospital early in the morning; he still had many things to take care of.

He naturally couldn't let Liu Cuihua and Su Peipei, these two culprits, off easily.

When Liu Cuihua pushed Old Master Gu to the ground and saw that he was unconscious, she knew she had made a mistake. She was already terrified and completely lost her composure. She tightly gripped Su Peipei's hand and asked, "What should I do? Will I be taken to the farm for labor reform again? Peipei, you have to think of something for me."

Su Peipei frowned, her expression contorted. "What can I do? Why don't you run first?"

"Run, yes, I have to run, but where can I run to?" Liu Cuihua was so anxious she was about to jump up and down.

"I'll go anywhere, just let me go, and I'll give you some money." Su Peipei had long wanted to get rid of Liu Cuihua, and this was a good opportunity; she wouldn't be stingy with her money.

Upon hearing about the money, Liu Cuihua promptly let go of his hand.
