Shang Ziming raised an eyebrow, wondering why his father was now interfering in his marriage.
"I have a girlfriend, she's still in college, so I'll have to wait a few more years." Shang Ziming confessed directly. His dad wasn't like his mom; his dad would actually drag a woman out and force him to get a marriage certificate.
"Going to university?" Mr. Shang was a little surprised. He really didn't know about this. He had only heard his wife nagging him about it so much, and seeing that his son was getting on in years, he thought it was time to settle his marriage.
"Yes, she's from Nancheng. Her parents passed away in an accident. She has an older brother. Her mentor is Elder Hua. We met when we were sent to the countryside as educated youth."
That's explained very clearly, saving me the trouble of asking questions one by one.
Mr. Shang had no further questions, only saying, "Bring her back to meet us sometime. If you're going to date, then date properly. Don't you dare bully the young lady."
"I know."
"Alright, go back and get some rest."
"good."
Shang Ziming left the study and went back to his room; he was indeed tired.
The next day, Shang Ziming woke up full of energy and began a busy day.
Su Xiao was equally energetic. When she arrived at the hospital, she ran into Cui Sheng, who was walking towards her.
Su Xiao raised an eyebrow. "Good morning, Dr. Cui."
"Good morning, Xiaoxiao." Cui Sheng had been waiting here on purpose. "I'm with Elder Hua today."
"Okay, let's go together." Su Xiao looked at him with new respect because she saw how eager he was to learn.
Because of yesterday's meal, the two felt much less awkward around each other, especially Cui Sheng, who called Xiao Xiao very naturally.
When Elder Hua saw Cui Sheng come over, he was quite surprised. When he heard that Cui Sheng was interested in traditional Chinese medicine, he was generous and agreed to let him watch and learn.
Just then, a woman carrying a child rushed in. The child was crying loudly, and the woman was so anxious that she was about to shed tears.
"Dr. Hua, please come and save my baby."
"What's wrong with him? Don't worry, take a deep breath." Su Xiao immediately stepped forward to lend a hand.
"He fell down the stairs and can't move his arm. Doctor, is his arm broken?" The woman was still in shock, and she tightened her grip on the child, causing the child to cry loudly.
Seeing this, Su Xiao quickly told her to let go, "Let go, you're hurting him."
The woman recoiled in fright, and Su Xiao seized the opportunity to pull the child out. While comforting the child, she checked him over, saying, "Little one, don't cry. Auntie has a candy here. Only brave children who don't cry can have it. Do you want some?"
Su Xiao took out some candy from her pocket and waved it in front of the child.
The child's attention was indeed drawn to the candy, and he stopped crying.
Just then, Hua Shancheng suddenly made his move, twisting and lifting, "All done."
"Come on, little one, you're so brave. Here's a reward, take it and eat it yourself." Su Xiao deliberately placed the candy on the arm that had been unable to move.
Sure enough, the child slowly reached out, took the candy, unwrapped it, and started eating.
"All done, all done!" The woman was overjoyed. "Thank you so much, Dr. Hua. Thank you so much, Dr. Su."
The woman was an elderly woman who frequently came to see the doctor, so she was familiar with Su Xiao.
She dared not accept the title of "Dr. Su" and quickly waved her hand in denial, "Auntie, I am not a doctor yet."
"So what? You're Doctor Hua's apprentice, you'll be one sooner or later."
Okay, I really like that old lady's honesty.
Time flies, and before we knew it, it was time to get off work again.
Cui Sheng witnessed the wonders of traditional Chinese medicine today and benefited greatly. He repeatedly expressed his gratitude to Elder Hua.
