Su Xiao pulled Tian Tian to the garden, or rather, the vegetable garden.
The vegetables in the garden are lush and green, a delightful sight, and are much more favored by the owner than the flowers and plants.
"Sweetie, how's school going lately? Are you keeping up?" Su Xiao casually asked Tian Tian about her situation at school.
“Great, school is great. My grades are good, I'm always in the top five, and I'm the class's study monitor. My classmates are nice to me, and they all like to hang out with me, but I don't really like hanging out with people I don't know well.”
At this point, Tian Tian seemed somewhat troubled.
"Who do you like to play with the most among your classmates?" Su Xiao continued to ask casually.
"There are several? Wang Xiaohua, Shen Hongmei, Shang, Shang..."
Tian Tian was stunned, murmured twice, and then fell silent.
"Shang Ganwen?" Su Xiao added for her.
"Yes." Tian Tian responded softly, her head down, looking like she had done something wrong.
Su Xiao didn't press the matter further, but continued to ask, "Is there anything else?"
Tian Tian's tense heart relaxed a little. "And Zhao Lin too."
"So, are there any people you particularly dislike, or people you don't get along with?"
Su Xiao's words stunned Tian Tian for a while before she stammered, "No... everything's fine."
Su Xiao felt somewhat gratified; her child had truly grown up and now had his own ideas.
"Oh, that's great. I'm glad you're happy at school." Su Xiao was genuinely pleased.
"Sweetie, youth is priceless. This is the time when you kids are full of energy and diligently absorbing knowledge. No external disruptive factors should appear." Su Xiaoyi pointedly said, "You're still young. There are things we should do at every stage of life. What is this stage?"
"Studying," Tian Tian replied without hesitation. "Miss, I know."
She glanced at Su Xiao somewhat awkwardly, and seeing that Su Xiao's face showed no particular expression, she breathed a slight sigh of relief. Then, she earnestly promised, "I will definitely study hard and strive to get into the best school. In the future, I want to be a doctor. Miss, can you teach me?"
Tian Tian has always admired Su Xiao and has always taken her as her goal and role model.
"Doctor?" Su Xiao was a little surprised, but still replied without hesitation, "Okay, I'll wait for you at school."
She extended an invitation, and sure enough, Tian Tian was overjoyed. "Little sister, I will definitely come to find you."
Su Xiao smiled, feeling as if her own child had finally grown up.
She didn't know how much of an effect today's conversation would have on Tian Tian, but she just hoped the outcome would be good.
Su Xiao ate dinner at the Yang family's house before leaving.
The Qin family and the Yang family were not far apart, so she wasn't afraid of walking at night and arrived quickly.
The Qin family members had just finished dinner and were quite surprised to see Su Xiao arrive. They immediately invited her in and asked if she had eaten. They were relieved to learn that she had just eaten at the Yang family's house.
"Grandpa, Grandma, I came here to ask you some questions, but I don't know if it's convenient." Su Xiao felt a little embarrassed because the living room was full of people staring at her.
