Chapter 189, /.

Shang Ziming remained unfazed by Cui Sheng's provocative gaze, inwardly disdainful, but with a half-smile on his lips, he said, "Little Cui is still as eager to learn as ever."

Cui Sheng's brow twitched slightly as scenes from her student days uncontrollably surfaced in her mind.

"Why did Heaven create both Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang?" This was his true feeling during his first year of junior high school.

Both are equally good-looking. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone's sense of smell is different, so it's hard to say who is better.

He was at a disadvantage in terms of physical strength, and was utterly defeated by his opponent, which inevitably hurt his self-esteem.

I secretly practiced extra, but I only learned my lesson after suffering the consequences.

If he couldn't compete in martial arts, he could only rely on his academic skills to win. To this end, he put a lot of effort into his studies, was quick-witted and eager to learn, and was not ashamed to ask questions, which made him a favorite of all his teachers.

Even so, the other person's academic performance was not bad either. The two of them alternated between first and second place. However, in the last exam, the other person was still one step ahead and won first place.

At the time, he even made a bold statement, saying that they would compete again next semester.

Unfortunately, his mother took him abroad that summer and he never got to continue his studies, which became a hidden resentment in his heart.

Now that he has finally returned to China, his situation is different.

He has mixed feelings about businesses, including gratitude, awe, and a lingering sense of loss.

He managed to stand firm for those ten years, protecting his sister and taking care of the entire Cui family.

Cui Sheng took a deep breath and said with a self-deprecating smile, "This is all the advantages I have left."

Shang Ziming raised an eyebrow, narrowed his eyes slightly, and said arrogantly, "After being abroad for a few years, you've improved quite a bit. You've even learned to be self-aware now."

"Third Young Master is right." Cui Sheng gritted his teeth; even after more than a decade, he was still as sharp-tongued as ever.

"Don't call me Third Young Master anymore, things are different now." Shang Ziming had won slightly, and knowing when to stop, he softened his tone. "Eat up, it's been more than ten years, how come your appetite is still like a kitten's?"

Cui Sheng was slightly taken aback. His long hair concealed the turbulent emotions in his eyes. Suddenly, he laughed, "I really can't compare to you. You can kill a cow with one punch and eat ten bowls of braised pork in one meal."

Shang Zimu was furious when he was killed; he shouldn't have been so polite to him.

"Ten bowls? Really?" Su Xiao finally heard some gossip, her eyes lit up, and she stared at Shang Ziming with great interest, wanting to know the answer.

Shang Ziming's lips twitched, and he shamelessly denied it, "That's not true."

Su Xiao was not giving up and turned to look at Cui Sheng, wanting him to explain in detail.

But then the large hand turned him back, and he heard the man's sinister voice, "Where are you looking?"

Su Xiao pouted, speechless, almost forgetting about men's jealousy again.

Ugh, so boring. Time for dinner.

Cui Sheng watched the interaction between the two but didn't say anything, and the dining table finally quieted down.

The second half of the game was less competitive, and the group enjoyed the food. Su Xiao ate until she was very full and satisfied.

"Well then, Dr. Cui, see you tomorrow." As she walked out of the restaurant, Su Xiao waved goodbye to Cui Sheng.

"Okay, see you tomorrow." Cui Sheng smiled.

Shang Ziming remained expressionless, but he was somewhat annoyed. He couldn't guarantee he would be able to find time to see her tomorrow. How frustrating!

At the intersection, Cui Sheng walked about ten steps, then suddenly turned around and looked back. In the afterglow of the setting sun, he saw two figures, one tall and one short, holding hands and standing shoulder to shoulder, looking so harmonious.

He smiled suddenly, turned and left, his steps firm and steady.
