Finally, she brought up graduation.
Hua Shancheng retired last year and returned home to enjoy his later years.

Su Xiao received her graduation certificate from the principal. She was overjoyed, feeling that she had finally made it through the tough times.
"Congratulations, Su!" The principal looked at her with great satisfaction.

The principal smiled very kindly, "Comrade Su, what are your plans for the future?"

She really did have some plans. Did the principal know something?
"I heard you're going to turn down your job at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital?" The principal's words carried no accusation, only regret.
“Yes,” Su Xiao nodded. “I plan to open my own traditional Chinese medicine clinic and run it myself.”
Su Xiao has had a tough few years juggling school and work, constantly busy and never having a moment to herself. She's long been fed up with the rigid, nine-to-five workday.
Once I become my own boss, will I have more freedom?
This was Su Xiao's ultimate intention.

Su Xiao nodded and smiled, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
