Chapter 468 Getting Along

Su Xiao was busy for several days in a row, and soon, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic opened in a lively manner on the streets of Kyoto.

Actually, she didn't do much advertising, but many people still came to her because of her reputation. After all, she hadn't been working at the hospital for nothing these past few years; her reputation had quietly spread without her even realizing it.

Superior medical skills are the hallmark of a business.

Su Xiao wrote out the prescription and handed it to the patient, saying with a kind expression, "Once you finish this course of treatment, you don't need to come back."

"Oh, thank you so much, Dr. Su! Thank you, thank you!" The patient happily accepted the prescription, expressing his gratitude repeatedly.

For patients, a cure that works instantly is like heaven.

"You're welcome. Take your medicine when you get home and get some rest."

After seeing off the last patient, Su Xiao couldn't help but stretch and relax.

As a doctor, you have to be fully focused when facing patients, which is very tiring at the end of the day.

"Knock knock..."

Su Xiao looked up at the doorway and saw the man leaning against the door frame, one hand in his pocket and the other knocking on the door, smiling at her.

"Why are you here?" Su Xiao was pleasantly surprised and immediately stood up to greet her.

Shang Ziming had actually been there for quite a while, silently watching her from outside the door.

Seeing her approach, he hurried to greet her and closed the door behind him.

The two embraced naturally. Shang Ziming gently cupped her face, looked her over carefully, and asked with concern, "Are you tired?"

Su Xiao smiled and shook her head. "No, it's alright. When did you get back?"

Shang Ziming is very busy. He went abroad to attend an international conference a while ago, and he was gone for two weeks.

"I got back last night, handed over my work today, and then came to see you." Shang Ziming affectionately stroked her cheek, frowning slightly as he said, "Look at you, you've lost weight. Haven't you been getting enough rest?"

Su Xiao clearly disagreed with this statement and pouted slightly in rebuttal.

"No way! I'm perfectly fine. You're the one who's lost weight."

She reached out and touched his face, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and quickly pinched his cheek, giving it a playful tug.

Shang Ziming's eyes were full of doting affection as he gently lifted her up, raising her feet off the ground.

"Hey, what are you doing?" The sudden suspension made her feel insecure, so she could only wrap her arms tightly around his neck and glare at him with dissatisfaction.

Shang Ziming looked at her gently with a smile in his eyes, slowly moving closer, their breaths gradually mingling together.

After not seeing each other for many days, it's inevitable that lovers will feel a surge of longing.

After an unknown amount of time, the door opened again, and the two emerged, their fingers intertwined. Su Xiao's face was flushed, her red lips slightly moist, and her eyes sparkled with charm.

Shang Zimu's lips curled up, his face full of satisfaction.

As they walked along, many of the clinic's employees looked over curiously.

Su Xiao coughed lightly, trying her best to maintain a cool and aloof image until she left the clinic.

"You..." Shang Ziming gently squeezed her small hand, finding it somewhat amusing.

"What's wrong with me? Humph." Su Xiao pouted. "I'm the boss, don't I have to maintain a good image?"

"Yes, that's good. As long as you're happy." Shang Ziming shook her hand and then kissed it on the lips. "No matter what you're like, I'll love you."

Su Xiao curled her lip and snorted, "Glib talker."

As he spoke, he laughed again.

"Let's go, I'll treat you to dinner."

Shang Ziming was pulled by her to a nearby restaurant, where she eagerly began to introduce it, "This newly opened restaurant has very good food, especially the fish..."

Shang Zimu let her have her way.

Su Xiao entered the private room as if she knew the way well, picked up the menu and started ordering.

Shang Ziming silently poured her tea, watching her slowly and deliberately. In fact, just being with her, just looking at her, filled him with contentment.

After Su Xiao ordered the food, she turned to look at him and met his affectionate eyes. Her heart started pounding again. She said playfully, "Why are you looking at me like that again? Can't you get enough of looking at me?"

"Yes, I can never get enough of you." Shang Ziming smiled slightly, his eyes sparkling. "I wish I could marry you right now and stay by your side day and night."

Su Xiao's ears turned red as she listened. She glanced at him sideways and scolded, "You've been out for a while, and now you're all talk and no action. Tell me, did you go astray while you were out there? I've heard that it's very open abroad, and it's common to see men and women hugging and kissing on the street."

"Who told you that?" Shang Ziming raised an eyebrow.

Su Xiao looked at him without saying a word. Who else could she listen to? However, she really couldn't come up with a name, so she could only remain silent.

Shang Ziming sighed helplessly, pulled her across the table, and said earnestly, "I'm telling you the truth. If you don't believe me, feel my heart."

As he spoke, he pulled her hand and pressed it against his chest.

Just then, a waiter came in, and she quickly pulled her hand back, saying, "Okay, okay, I believe you."

Seeing this, Shang Zimu could only regretfully let go.

After the waiter served the dishes, he looked at her with deep eyes and asked expectantly, "There are still two weeks left. Are you ready?"

With their wedding date just two weeks away, Su Xiao couldn't help but feel excited at the thought, but she didn't show it. Keeping a straight face, she picked up her chopsticks and started eating, first placing a piece of honey-glazed yam on his plate. "This is very good, eat up."

Seeing that she didn't answer directly, Shang Ziming was somewhat disappointed, but still unwilling to give up, he said, "I'm really looking forward to it."

This made Su Xiao's ears turn slightly red, but unfortunately, he didn't see it.

The two began their meal in a pleasant atmosphere. He told her about his experiences abroad, and she shared everyday stories with him, just like an ordinary couple.

"Will you be going on business trips again?" Su Xiao suddenly asked, thinking that she was getting married soon and didn't want to delay the wedding.

"Don't worry, I've already applied for my honeymoon," Shang Ziming smiled.

His major life events are closely watched by his superiors, and the dates have been arranged so that there will be absolutely no mistakes.

Su Xiao nodded. "That's good."

After dinner, the two walked hand in hand down the street, their shadows dappled and swaying gently in the breeze under the dim streetlights.

Even the longest road eventually comes to an end, and Su Xiao had deliberately opened her clinic on the main street closest to her home.

"I have arrived."

At the gate, Su Xiao stopped and said goodbye to him, "Go home early, goodbye."

Shang Ziming, somewhat aggrieved, was unwilling to let go. "Aren't you going to invite me in?"

Su Xiao was slightly surprised. Looking at his burning gaze, she hesitated and said, "No, you just got back. You should go home and get some rest."

Today at the hospital, the two almost had sex, and she really didn't want to invite trouble into her home again.

Seeing her like this, Shang Ziming could only say regretfully, "Alright, you should get some rest too."
