After a sleepless night, Anle got out of bed early the next morning, before dawn. Alone, she sat listlessly on the threshold of the kitchen, staring blankly at the gray sky, a look of utter despair on her face.
Damn it, she got screwed over badly. They exiled her to this godforsaken place and then called it a rebirth.
Damn it, what kind of rebirth is this?!
Just look at this remote, dusty place.
Which remote mountain valley did they release her into?
Where is the promised field?
Where is the field?
Didn't they say they gave her a piece of land to farm?
She didn't see any seven-colored fields either.
This whole yard is filled with the smell of chicken droppings and cow dung, it's so damn stinky!
Just as I was thinking this, the fenced yard made of a few wooden stakes suddenly changed, and the scenery before me transformed—
"Huh? This is—" Anle stared blankly at the dreamlike, colorful space before her, rubbing her eyes. She widened her gaze at the less than twenty-square-meter space she found herself in, swallowed hard, and seemed to realize something—
"...A field?" Is this small space the seven-colored field?
Wasn't it supposed to be a seven-colored garden that could have anything you wanted?
What's so special about that?
There's nothing here!
Just as I was pondering this, a flash of seven-colored light appeared before my eyes, and a seven-colored screen appeared in front of me. Three lines of text appeared in the center of the screen, the large characters catching my eye—
The first line reads: "[Seven-Colored Pastoral System Game Start]"
The second line is [Yes].
Third line: [No]
Anle was stunned for a moment, then it dawned on her—
Is this the field that old man gave us?!
With a raised eyebrow, Anle stretched out her hand and poked the second line with her index finger.
"Hey, is that even a question? Of course, the answer is yes!"
[The Seven-Colored Pastoral System game is now live]
[The Seven-Colored Pastoral System game has been launched; you have entered the system interface.]
Anle blinked, staring at the constantly changing interface, which finally settled on a few options.
"What are all these things? It feels like playing a game!"
"Let me see what's there?"
"This place has... a pastoral attribute feature?"
Anle clicked the [Rural Attribute] function button, and the interface popped up with two items: [Five Elements Attribute] and [Rare Attribute].
"I'll click on it and see." Driven by curiosity, Anle clicked on the [Five Elements Attributes].
Below the 【Five Elements Attributes】, a horizontal column of 【Metal】【Wood】【Water】【Fire】【Earth】 pops up.
Glancing at the [Rare Attribute] next to him, Anle tilted his head and muttered something.
"It seems like you can open both at the same time. Let me try clicking it again."
Below the 【Rare Attributes】 section, alongside the 【Gold】【Wood】【Water】【Fire】【Earth】 sections, the 【Wind】【Lightning】 section pops up.
"Sigh, it really works that you can open two menus at the same time. But then what? What do I do next?"
Anle noticed a clickable button at the bottom and curiously clicked it. A rule explanation popped up at the bottom of the screen.
[Please use your imagination to select the attributes you want to combine]
Staring at the animated demonstration, Anle raised an eyebrow. "Ha, just what I was hoping for has come true! It's actually an explanation of the rules of the rural area?!"
"Wow, it even comes with a short animated demonstration and explanation!"
"Hey, this thing is really easy to learn. So you can grow things just by analyzing the properties of the substance? I'll give it a try."
Anle raised his hand, then lowered it again, scratching his head and muttering to himself.
"Hmm, what should I synthesize? Let me think, it's time to unleash my imagination!"
"Ah, I've got it! Let's try steamed buns. Isn't that little guy craving steamed buns?"
"Um... this steamed bun is made with water and flour, and flour is made from grains, so it's water and wheat? Wheat belongs to the wood element, right? So it's water and wood!"
Muttering to himself, Anle lightly tapped the [Water] attribute button with his fingertip. Before he could tap the [Wood] attribute button, the grayed-out [Synthesis] function icon at the bottom of the interface lit up.
"Huh? This doesn't need to be combined with other attribute keys; it can be operated directly on its own? I'll give it a try then."
Anle clicked the [Synthesis] function key, and an input field popped up in the blank space of the interface.
"Is this blank input field for entering what you want to combine?"
"Then I'll try a drink? Um... how about milk?" Anle touched her stomach and realized she was a little hungry. She took a bite of the vegetable pancake that she had taken from the little guy yesterday, but it tasted bitter and dry, and she couldn't swallow it, so she didn't eat any more.
I'm really hungry now!
Anle tapped the input field with her fingertip, and a larger touchscreen keyboard popped up below.
"Huh, a keyboard? This is practically a computer!" He tapped the touchscreen keyboard a few times, typed the word "milk," and clicked "OK."
[Currently being planted]
Milk cultivation is now complete.
Please select the quantity of milk.
Anle's eyes lit up, and without hesitation, she clicked the "minus" and "add" buttons next to the quantity, but there was no response.
"Tch, what's that? There's only one, you can't choose a second one!"
After pressing the "OK" button, Anle still couldn't see where the milk was.
"Huh? Wasn't the planting finished? Where's my milk?" Just as he was muttering in confusion, a bright red warning appeared on the screen.
[Planting yields no harvest, please clear the land! Please clear the land!!!]
