Chapter 79 Infusion

With a weight lifted from his heart, An Dalin calmed down.

“I’ll go to your grandfather who guards the mountain first and talk to him about this so he can have peace of mind.”

As darkness fell, the person lying on the kang (a heated brick bed) finally moved.

When Qiao Qiuniang saw that people had gotten up, she quickly put down her needlework.

"Oh? You can get up now? You haven't eaten anything all day, how about you eat something?"

Anle glanced at the two of them and noticed Qiao Qiuniang's attitude, which was as if she were treating him like her own son. She thought to herself, "She's definitely treating him like Ah Hong's child."

Seeing that the person was walking directly outside, Anle grabbed Qiao Qiuniang, who was about to follow.

"Mother, Mother, don't follow them anymore, they're leaving!"

Qiao Qiuniang slapped Anle's 'hand' away with a reproachful look.

"What are you saying, child? Why are you chasing people away?" After saying that, the person chased after them.

Anle: "..." Well, now she's caught in the middle, neither side getting the better of her.

Inside the room, Qiao Qiuniang's voice could still be clearly heard from outside, "You child, it's getting dark, where can you go so late at night?"

Even if you're going to leave, you should stay overnight and leave at dawn.

Anle sighed, "I finally managed to get rid of them, but my mother is siding with them and wants to keep them here."

He quickly rushed out to stop Qiao Qiuniang from leaving the person behind.

"Mom, maybe they have something important to do. Don't stop them. Let them go if they want."

"We should talk about everything after dawn. What if something happens if we leave in the dark?"

An Dalin, with his hands behind his back and head down, looked up at the sound as soon as he entered the courtyard. "What's going on?"

Qiao Qiuniang was also helpless.

"Dad's back. This child won't listen to reason and insists on leaving at this time. We can't stop him."

"What if something happens so late at night?"

An Dalin paused, his old face stiffening. "Even if you're going to leave, it won't be until tomorrow. It's already dark. We've already saved you, so just rest. It won't make a difference if you stay one more night."

"Granddaughter, talk to him nicely and take him inside. Don't disturb the neighbors so late at night."

Anle forced a stiff smile. "Oh, I understand, Grandpa."

What kind of situation is this?

She played the bad guy, while everyone else played the good guy, and now it's her fault.

She was the one who shooed people away, and now she's the one trying to persuade them.

Why is she so frustrated?

"Stay here today, we'll talk about it tomorrow." Anle moved closer to Yu Rong, pinched two fingers together, and tugged at Yu Rong's sleeve. Her tone softened, a stark contrast to when she had chased him away at noon.

Finally, a sly glint flashed in his eyes, and he added with a mischievous thought, "You're probably not fully recovered yet, right? I'll give you some more medicine later."

Yu Rong's dark eyes flashed. Upon hearing that he would be given some medicine, he glanced at An Le with his eyes lowered, then turned around and went back into the house.

Anle snorted inwardly. Sure enough, when she talked to him at noon, she could tell that he seemed very interested in that antidote for snake venom.

This time, Qiao Qiuniang directly arranged for the people to stay in the rooms where An Ding and An Yi lived.

It wasn't until Qiao Qiuniang came out that Anle, carrying a small basket, lifted the curtain and peeked in, looking around before fixing his gaze on the two brothers who were hunched over the kang table, reading and learning to read under the kerosene lamp.

"Hey, second brother, third brother, what are you doing?"

An Yi looked up, grinning at An Le with a gaping tooth.

"Let me take another look at the characters that Master Meng taught me during the day, in case I forget them after I wake up tomorrow."

Anle frowned, picked up her basket, and crawled in.

"Stop watching, you'll ruin your eyes by staying up so late."

It seems that not having a desk here is really inconvenient. Lying on this kang table all day long will cause spinal problems in the long run.

An Ding, with her sharp eyes, noticed the basket An Le was carrying. "Little sister, what are you carrying?"

Anle put the basket in her hand on the kang (a heated brick bed) and climbed up onto it in one swift motion.

"Oh, this? This is for this kid." He said, glancing at Yu Rong, who was sitting in the corner of the kang (a heated brick bed) with his eyes closed in meditation.

"Didn't he get snake venom?"

Seeing how much blood he lost during the day, he must be anemic. This will help him recover.

Actually, it was just saline solution and oral glucose solution that she got from her space, specifically to regulate his body and replenish his energy.

An Yi lifted the floral cloth covering the basket and stared curiously at the bottles and jars inside, her eyes shining.

"Hey, this thing is really new, what is it?"

This jar is so beautiful! There are jars that are so pure and transparent!

This is the first time I've ever seen this!

There's a black one too? It feels cool to the touch!

"Did the gods give these to us too?"

Anle nodded with a smile, glanced around, and said, "Second Brother, go out and get a bamboo pole."

An Ding was taken aback. "Little sister, what do you need a bamboo pole for?"

Anle picked up a bottle of saline solution from the basket. "This is for hanging this bottle. This thing is called an IV drip. It's hung upside down like this so that the liquid inside flows back into the body."

An Yi was taken aback. "Huh? It flows into a person's body? How does it flow?"

Anle smiled and said, "Wait until Second Brother brings in a bamboo pole, then you'll see clearly."

An Yi grinned, jumped off the kang (a heated brick bed), and scurried over eagerly, "Little sister, I'll go get you a bamboo pole."

After the IV drip was attached and the tubing was inserted, the two brothers watched helplessly as the liquid in the bottle flowed into the thin tube.

Yu Rong opened his eyes, glanced at it, and then didn't look away.

He had never seen such a strange thing before.

"You, stick your arm out, I'll give you the medicine." Anle pointed at Yu Rong with her finger, while holding the needle tip with her other hand.

Yu Rong looked at An Le suspiciously, not understanding what was going on.

Anle looked at the person who hadn't moved for a while and sighed.

"Phew, I guess I'll take the initiative."

Anle pulled Yu Rong's arm outwards, looked at Yu Rong's tight black clothes, and rubbed her forehead.

"Take off these cumbersome clothes."

This time, Yu Rong cooperated by taking off her outer garment, and An Le easily pulled up the sleeves of her loose inner garment.

"Second brother, I'm too weak. You come and tie this leather belt around his arm, right here. Just tighten it and press it in. Make it a slipknot, we'll have to untie it later."

An Ding followed along, somewhat bewildered, listening to An Le's instructions.

"Wait, little sister, you're not going to stick that needle into him, are you?" An Yi stared wide-eyed, seemingly understanding something.

"Yes, you have to insert it. If you don't insert it, how can the medicine be delivered into the blood vessels?"

This is the fastest way to help him recover.
