Chapter 41 Tenfold Growth (Seeking Monthly Tickets)

Chapter 41 Tenfold Growth (Seeking Monthly Tickets)

The wild boars showed no sign of stopping and continued to devour the remaining vegetables and seedlings.

Wang Jing looked anxious; these were all planted by her and Xu Qingmo this morning.

Thanks to the irrigation from the spiritual spring water, the growth rate is ten times faster than normal. Even the seedlings planted in the morning are now growing well, and some chili peppers even have flower buds.

Wang Jing told Xu Qingmo not to go out, and she went out to drive the wild boar into a corner.

Xu Qingmo asked Wang Jing to stay, while she took out a few wooden sticks from the small wooden house.

Xu Qingmo walked out of the wooden house, holding a wooden stick. The wild animals smelled her scent and, as if they had lost their minds, galloped wildly toward Xu Qingmo.

Wang Jing warned, "Mo Mo, hurry inside the cabin, the wild boar is going to attack you."

Xu Qingmo didn't even turn her head. "Don't worry, I have a way to deal with them."

Suddenly, the wooden stick in Xu Qingmo's hand burst into flames and plunged directly into front of the lead wild boar.

The wild boar suddenly stopped, its four hooves leaving two skid marks on the ground.

The wild boars behind didn't notice that the wild boar in front had suddenly stopped. Their bodies collided, causing the lead wild boar to slam into a wooden stick.

The lead wild boar squealed loudly as it was scalded.

Xu Qingmo immediately used the remaining sticks in her hand to stick them all around the wild boar herd, trapping them in the middle.

The wild boar tried to jump out of the enclosure, but as soon as it got close to the wooden stick, it was burned and retreated repeatedly.

Suddenly, Wang Jing noticed that the stick in Xu Qingmo's hand was on fire. She rushed over and anxiously pried open Xu Qingmo's palm. It was fair and tender, without a single burn.

The weight that had been hanging in my throat finally lifted.

"MoMo, what's going on?" Wang Jing asked curiously.

Xu Qingmo made up an excuse, "Ever since I woke up in the cowshed, my body has changed. I can set things on fire at will, like this wooden stick."

Xu Qingmo took the wooden stick from Wang Jing's hand and silently chanted "flame" in her heart.

The wooden stick in his hand suddenly burst into flames.

Xu Qingmo turned around and stuck the stick in front of a wild boar that was trying to escape. The scalding flames burned through its skin.

The air was filled with the aroma of roasted meat.

Wang Jing gave Xu Qingmo a deep look, and Xu Qingmo turned her face away guiltily.

Wang Jing squatted down and patted her head, "No matter what Momo becomes, she will always be my daughter."

My gloomy mood instantly turned into a bright sunny day.

“Mom…” Xu Qingmo had so much to say, but looking at Wang Jing’s face, she couldn’t say anything.

Wang Jing looked around and saw that the vegetables and wheat seedlings had all been ruined. Fortunately, she hadn't planted many in the morning.

As for the chickens, ducks, and geese, because they drank the spiritual spring water, they were extremely agile. When the wild boar chased after them, they all spread their wings and flew away.

There have been no losses so far.

“I think we should put up some fences here to keep all the poultry and animals in their own enclosures, so that we can avoid what just happened later,” Wang Jing said.

Xu Qingmo nodded. "There are many wooden sticks in the wooden house. I'll put them on the fence."

"Me too."

When they went up the mountain today, Xu Qingmo asked Wang Jing to collect more wooden sticks in her spatial storage, and now those sticks have come in handy.

Xu Qingmo was strong, and with Wang Jing's help, they quickly finished building ten fences.

Currently, five fences have been used, and five remain.

Xu Qingmo fed the wild boar some spiritual spring water. After drinking the water, the wild boar became much more docile and less aggressive than before.

As for the vegetable and fruit seedlings, Xu Qingmo and Wang Jingjue decided to wait until they got back in the evening and find some time to go into their space to plant them.

The mother and daughter reappeared on the mountain, and Xu Qingmo led Wang Jing into a cave.

As soon as they entered, two chubby-faced wolf cubs were frightened and quickly ran back into the cave.

Xu Qingmo jogged forward, holding one wolf cub on each side, making Wang Jing feel as if she had stepped into another dimension.

These two wolf cubs were the wolf king's children. Xu Qingmo discovered them by chance, but since the village was not suitable for raising them, she put them in a cave and brought them food every time she went into the mountains.

The wolf cubs, less than two months old, were so chubby that they were quite heavy when you picked them up.

Xu Qingmo said, "We'll raise them until they're grown up and then kill them to eat."

Wang Jing: "Okay, I'll listen to you."

Xu Qingmo went back into the space, fed the two wolf cubs some spiritual spring water, and put them in the enclosure. The cubs lay on the railing with their front paws, looking at Xu Qingmo pitifully, wanting to go out.

Xu Qingmo: "Don't shout, or I'll eat you up right now."

As if it understood, the wolf cub howled twice, then turned and went back to lie down in the corner of the fence.

It was getting late, so the mother and daughter left the space. Xu Qingmo wanted to catch some more pheasants and rabbits, but Wang Jing reminded her, "There are also mountains near the family compound. You can go there to catch rabbits and the like in the future."

Xu Qingmo's eyes lit up; she thought that once she left this place, catching wild rabbits would be much more difficult.

I didn't expect that the place I was going to would also have mountains.

She jumped and skipped happily.

At five years old, her body was very light; she could move around without getting tired at all.

When we returned to the village in the afternoon, Shenjiang had also returned.

The barefoot doctor gave him some herbs and explained their effects, carefully writing them down on a piece of paper.

Back at Wang Xiuzhi's house, Wang Jing and Xu Qingmo began packing their things.

Xu Qingmo didn't have much stuff, and since she had already packed some things the day before, the mother and daughter sat down after working for about ten minutes.

Wang Xiuzhi listened to the commotion over there, her gaze fixed on the cured meat under the eaves. Not seeing Xu Qingmo and the others take it away, she suddenly felt a sense of relief, thinking that maybe they had forgotten, but all this meat belonged to her.

It's enough for her to eat until the New Year.

Grandma Liu came over again that evening and cooked dinner. Xu Qingmo gave her a large piece of meat and told her not to come again tomorrow.

Grandma Liu's eyes welled up with tears, and she said with reluctance, "To be honest, I've grown attached to cooking for you all this time. I'm not used to you suddenly not coming anymore."

Xu Qingmo remained calm, saying, "People always have times of meeting and times of parting. We'll meet again when the opportunity arises."

"Qingmo is right, she understands things better than I do at my age," Grandma Liu said.

After dinner, Xu Qingmo and Wang Jing said they were going out for a walk, while Shen Jiang stayed home to wash the dishes.

The mother and daughter found a secluded spot and entered the space again.

Two wolf cubs rushed toward Xu Qingmo, but were blocked by the railing and could only howl in place.

Xu Qingmo stepped forward and opened the railing, freeing the two wolf cubs, who then circled around her incessantly.

Wang Jing had already taken out vegetable seeds from the small wooden house. The soil in the space was fertile, and with the irrigation of the spiritual spring water, the vegetable seedlings began to grow not long after they were planted.

Then they planted an acre of wheat and an acre of corn, and planted fruit trees around the Lingquan Pond.

Looking at the calm and still spirit spring pool, Xu Qingmo had a new idea.
