Chapter 460 I Will Never Let Go

The moment Zhou Ming opened his eyes, Xie Yunjiao's heart suddenly stopped and she even forgot to breathe.

But she quickly came to her senses and continued her previous action without hesitation.

When Zhou Ming saw her movements, his eyes darkened. He raised his right hand and tightly grasped Xie Yunjiao's hand, then quickly dodged to the side.

He narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at Xie Yunjiao, with a sinister look in his eyes: "You want to kill me?"

Xie Yunjiao looked at him straight and said, "Yes!"

Zhou Ming growled, "Damn it."

He used his internal energy to force Xie Yunjiao to let go of the stone in her hand.

He frowned slightly, without showing a trace of pain on his face.

But he knew in his heart that he was injured and the injury was quite serious.

He looked around and saw that they had reached the riverbank.

Behind them was a forest that looked so dense that you couldn't see the bottom.

He had been to and from the border of Baiyue countless times, so he could be sure that this was not Baiyue.

So, there is only one possibility!

This is Miaojiang!

I didn’t expect that he and Xie Yunjiao would come here!

He stood up and said to Xie Yunjiao, "Get up! If you don't want to die, get up now."

Xie Yunjiao said: "Even if I stay with you, it will be a dead end."

It would be better to starve to death here and avoid being tortured by him.

Zhou Ming walked to Xie Yunjiao and pulled her up. Xie Yunjiao did not notice the pain that flashed in Zhou Ming's eyes.

Because as soon as Xie Yunjiao was pulled up, she fell heavily to the ground.

Zhou Ming was shocked, thinking that Xie Yunjiao was being naughty and didn't want to leave or there was some other situation.

He looked Xie Yunjiao up and down and finally noticed the torn trouser legs and the wounds on her legs.

No wonder she fell down as soon as she stood up.

"What are you doing?!" Xie Yunjiao exclaimed.

Zhou Ming didn't say anything. He just picked up Xie Yunjiao and walked slowly into the woods.

Xie Yunjiao drooped his shoulders and his back: "Let me go, I would rather die than follow you!"

"Do you know where this is? Even if you really want to die, I'm afraid it won't be easy to die here." Zhou Ming said.

Xie Yunjiao was stunned for a moment. She was not very familiar with the roads here. When she first woke up, she wondered if this was Miao territory, but she was not sure.

Now that Zhou Ming said this, she could be sure that this was indeed Miao territory!

So, everything here is very dangerous.

Someone once said that once you set foot in the Miao territory, you won’t even know how you died.

Seeing Xie Yunjiao stopped struggling, Zhou Ming said again: "If you don't want to die, listen to me."

Xie Yunjiao pursed her lips and said nothing.

Zhou Ming stopped talking and walked forward silently with Xie Yunjiao on his back.

Xie Yunjiao was lost in her own thoughts at first and didn't pay much attention to Zhou Ming's actions. It wasn't until he fell heavily to the ground with her on his back that she came to her senses.

"Hey, if you can't carry me, let me go."

She was thinking that maybe if she stayed on the shore she might run into Gu Huai and the others coming to look for her.

Zhou Ming guessed what Xie Yunjiao was thinking at a glance, and he reached into his arms.

Xie Yunjiao raised her hands warily, thinking Zhou Ming was going to attack her.

Zhou Ming looked at her, a hint of bitterness flashing in his eyes.

He took out a simple compass and said to Xie Yunjiao, "This is a little gadget I found in Jiuzhou. You should know what it is."

Xie Yunjiao took a look at what Zhou Ming was holding and immediately knew what it was.

But the strange thing is that the compass seems to be broken, and the needle is spinning wildly inside without stopping.

"It's not broken." Zhou Ming said.

Xie Yunjiao's face darkened. If the compass was not broken, it would prove that there was something wrong with the magnetic field here, making it difficult to tell east, west, south, or north.

That being said, even if Gu Huai and the others really came here to look for someone, they might not be able to find them very easily.

"So you still want to continue waiting here?" Zhou Ming suddenly said.

Xie Yunjiao said: "I would rather wait for death here than be with you."

Zhou Ming's eyes darkened, and his heart felt like it was stabbed by someone.

Xie Yunjiao struggled to get down. She thought that if she said that, Zhou Ming would let go.

But Zhou Ming didn't do that. Instead, he held her tighter and said, "Don't move, unless you want to fall to your death."

Xie Yunjiao said, "Then let me go, and I won't move."

"Don't even think about it!" Zhou Ming said coldly, "Don't even think about escaping. I won't let you go!"

Xie Yunjiao's heart tightened. She said, "Why are you so persistent? I don't like you. Even if you tie me tightly to your side, you can't get my heart."

Zhou Ming's expression became even gloomier, as if water could be squeezed out of him.

He said, "I don't care, as long as you are by my side."

Xie Yunjiao couldn't break free and had to let Zhou Ming carry her. She tried to activate the space, but the magnetic field here seemed to have an effect on the space. She tried countless times but couldn't open the space.

When she came to her senses, Zhou Ming had already carried her to a small village.

The people inside showed horror on their faces when they saw Zhou Ming and her. Zhou Ming put Xie Yunjiao down, took out some money from his pocket and said, "I'll give money to anyone who can take us in."

At first everyone just looked at him and no one moved.

But when someone saw the peach wood hairpin on Xie Yunjiao's head, he showed an envious expression.

Zhou Ming immediately understood and pulled out Xie Yunjiao's hairpin.

Xie Yunjiao reached out to grab it: "This is a gift from my husband!"

Zhou Ming sneered and said, "Then it should be given as a gift."

He handed the hairpin to the man without further ado and said, "Please arrange a clean room for us. My wife likes cleanliness."

He spoke Miao dialect, which was somewhat different from Baiyue dialect, but Xie Yunjiao could still basically understand it.

She yelled at Zhou Ming, "Who is your wife? You shameless bastard!"

But the Miao people did not understand her words. The person who took the peach wood hairpin happily put it in his arms, and showed Zhou Ming the way. He took them to a small wooden house and said that the cabin was previously occupied by a young man from the village, but that the young man had recently gone up the mountain and might not be back for a month or two. So he asked them to stay here temporarily and make other arrangements when the young man came back.

Zhou Ming nodded lightly to the man and carried Xie Yunjiao into the house.

The guide suddenly thought of something and pointed at Xie Yunjiao's injured leg and said, "If you want to apply medicine to her, I can help you find a witch doctor from my tribe, but you have to exchange something for her."

They have no use for the money here, so they have no interest in the money in Zhou Ming's hands.

He was very interested in what Xie Yunjiao had on her.

Whether it was the mahogany hairpin, earrings, necklace around the neck, or even the clothes on the body, she was extremely interested.
