"Are you alright?" Gu Zeyu walked up to Wen Yi and examined her carefully, his gaze lingering on her freshly treated wound. "Are you injured? Is it serious?"
Wen Yi was worried about the scene Gu Zeyu had just witnessed, and nodded absentmindedly in response to Gu Zeyu.
"Serious?" Gu Zeyu asked anxiously. "I'll take you to the hospital."
"It's not serious," Wen Yi quickly explained.
"I still need to take you to the hospital for a check-up. The situation was so chaotic just now, we don't know where you were hurt."
"Thank you for your concern, Young Master Gu, but I'm fine. There's no need for such trouble. I'm not that delicate."
"How can a girl not be delicate? Aren't you a girl?"
Wen Yi was speechless after hearing that.
"Should I arrange for a therapist to help you later?" Gu Zeyu added, "I'm worried you might have psychological trauma."
"No, no need." Wen Yi was a little at a loss.
She was used to being ignored and had never received such meticulous care before.
"Tsk."
When Wen Yi was at a loss for what to do about Gu Zeyu's concern, Gu Huaixu made a rather disdainful sound.
Wen looked at him.
The man leaned back on the sofa, his long, slender legs accentuated by his black trousers. He was slightly bent over, slumped back on the sofa, and spread his arms out, looking languid.
"Big brother," he suddenly paused, staring at Wen Yi, "future sister-in-law?"
With a wry smile, she said, "Is it really appropriate to show affection in public?"
Wen Yi was startled by Gu Huaixu's words "future sister-in-law" and almost fell because she lost her balance. Fortunately, Gu Zeyu reacted quickly and caught her in time.
Are you alright?
Wen Yi felt incredibly guilty, as if she had been caught in the act. She instinctively stepped back, saying, "I'm fine."
Wen Yi kept backing away, not noticing the waiter carrying the wine behind her. By the time Gu Zeyu reminded her, it was too late.
The wine spilled all over Wen Yi.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," the waiter apologized hastily.
As Wen straightened her clothes, Gu Zeyu stepped forward to offer her a tissue.
"Why are you so reckless?" Gu Zeyu said helplessly, but with a hint of doting. "You little scatterbrain."
"You silly goose, you need to be careful," Gu Huaixu said to Wen Yi, mimicking Gu Zeyu's tone.
Wen felt a chill run down his spine.
Who could stand this?
"I can go to the restroom by myself, it's okay, don't worry about me, thank you."
Wen Yi rambled on and ran away.
The embarrassment that made my scalp tingle didn't subside until the bathroom door closed.
However, just as Wen Yi calmed down, the door behind her was suddenly kicked open violently from the outside. Caught off guard, Wen Yi staggered forward and finally managed to steady herself by grabbing the wall in a panic.
When Wen turned around, she saw a woman leading two or three people rush in and surround her, while also locking the bathroom door from the inside.
Wen Yi recognized the woman leading the group as the one she had bumped into in the dressing room earlier.
"You're a great dancer, aren't you?" The woman arrogantly looked up and stared at Wen Yi, sizing him up.
Wen Yi looked at the group warily. "What do you want?"
"You stole Sister Xiaomeng's stage, what do you think we want to do?" said the woman's henchman behind her.
Another subordinate chimed in, "You're truly ignorant! You don't know where you are, yet you dare to openly provoke Sister Xiaomeng!"
"Now you have a chance, kneel down and apologize!"
"Why all the nonsense? Let's get started," Xia Xiaomeng said arrogantly.
As the main dancer of MISS, she was naturally unhappy to have her position taken away. She wanted to let the other party know that even if they had someone behind them, they shouldn't even think about stepping on her head in MISS!
Several of Xia Xiaomeng's men rushed forward, each holding one side of Wen Yi.
Wen struggled, "Let me go."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Wen Yi felt a hard kick to his back knee, causing him to fall to his knees in front of Xia Xiaomeng.
When Wen looked up, he saw Xia Xiaomeng looking down, her eyes filled with disdain and arrogance.
"Do you really think Miss is some clean place? You think you can just jump on Miss's stage whenever you want? You think you can just steal my, Xia Xiaomeng's, spot?"
Xia Xiaomeng squatted down and grabbed Wen Yi's hair. "Even if you're Miss, and Qiang Ge can't deal with you, there's still Li Ge and Zhang Ge. Do you think you can get away with this peacefully?"
"You did that bald guy deliver the drinks on purpose?" Wen Yi stared at Xia Xiaomeng. "And more than once."
Xia Xiaomeng laughed, "You're not so stupid."
Wen Yi's gaze, which had been calm at first, gradually began to show emotion.
The hand supporting the weight on the ground is clenched into a fist.
"Those who foolishly dream of getting a share of Miss's pie are either lying in a hospital bed or in the beds of countless men. You're just a little different..."
"They may just be dancing on this stage and don't intend to steal your spotlight."
"What a joke! Do you think the women in this place are just about dancing?" Xia Xiaomeng said sharply. "These women are vain and shameless. I'm just giving them what they want. Some of them are just ignorant, so they need to be taught a lesson. What's the problem?"
She was arrogant and domineering, acting like a savior.
Wen Yi's gaze grew colder and colder.
Xia Xiaomeng had no patience to continue. She stood up and said to her subordinates, "Strip her clothes off and throw her upstairs into Brother Zhang's room. Let him have his fun."
Xia Xiaomeng's subordinates prepared to take action after receiving her orders.
Wen Yi pursed her lips, her eyes already brimming with anger.
As one of her henchmen reached out to grab her collar, Wen Yi suddenly reached out and grabbed the man's wrist.
The subordinate was taken aback by Wen Yi's resistance and looked surprised. Wen Yi pulled the man to the ground with a little force, and the head hit the ground with a loud thud.
