Chapter 158 Disgusting to the point of vomiting

Wen Ge thought she had Wen Yi under control, believing that no matter what, Wen Yi was the one who could sacrifice herself for the Wen family and for her at any time. Even if she was unwilling, she had the burden of being a good older sister and wanted to be a good daughter, so she would compromise and obediently listen to her.

Wen Ge stepped forward and took Wen Yi's hand. "Since it's my sister who's helping me for the last few days, let's get along well, sister."

She acted magnanimously and forgave Wen Yi for their previous unpleasantness.

Wen Yi's expression was indifferent; he simply smiled slightly and nodded without saying anything, giving the impression that he had agreed to Wen Ge's request.

We only have a few days left, so let's cherish this time together.

Not long after her agent left, Wen Ge suddenly seemed to remember something and said, "Sister, I have a scene in the next episode that requires a soft sword. I want to practice and get ready. You know, the director has very high standards."

Wen Ge then spoke in her habitually slightly coquettish tone, "The soft sword is with the props department, can you go get it for me, sister?"

Wen nodded. "Wait for me for a few minutes."

"Thank you, sister. I'll go change my clothes and wait for you to come back," Wen Ge said with a smile. "It's so nice to have a sister."

"It's such a pity that in a few days, my sister will no longer be my assistant, and I won't be able to experience how good she is to me."

"Sister, I believe that even if you can't be my assistant anymore, you'll still be my good sister outside of work, right?"

Wen Ge's smile was pure and sweet, she was practically a carbon copy of her older sister's good younger sister, which made Wen Yi feel disgusted.

This is the first time I've felt disgusted and wanted to vomit at someone.

Knowing what Wen Ge looked like before, Wen Yi remained indifferent, showing little emotion, though occasionally she felt resentment.

For example, when Wen Ge learned that her parents had found her after she left home, it was Wen Ge who told them they could use their household registration book to call the police, which indirectly led to Gu Huaixu's death.

For example, Wen Ge suggested to her parents that they bring her maternal grandparents to their home in Haicheng in order to keep Wen Yi in check and make him do more things. However, this also led to her maternal grandparents dying in a car accident on their way there and being abandoned at the hospital.

Wen Yi felt hatred for each and every one of these things, and was determined to settle scores with Wen Ge in the future. But even back then, she only felt hatred, not disgust.

It felt disgusting, like swallowing a fly, stuck in my throat.

Wen Yi was too lazy to play along with Wen Ge's act, so she left the room without saying a word.

When she opened the door, she saw that reporters had come to interview her. Her manager hadn't closed the door properly when she left, so the reporters had clearly filmed what Wen Ge and Wen Yi had said.

Following the agent's marketing strategy, they will definitely make a big fuss about it, promoting Wen Ge as a good younger sister who tries to take care of her older sister, but unfortunately, the older sister doesn't appreciate it.

Wen Yi knew about those announcements, but she was too lazy to care. She quickened her pace toward the restroom, and after holding it in for a long time, she squatted by the toilet and vomited violently.

This was truly the first time she had ever felt so disgusted by someone that she wanted to vomit, and she threw up everything she had eaten that morning.

After vomiting, Wen Yi still felt nauseous thinking about Wen Ge's appearance, but there was nothing left to vomit, and with her arm injured, this ordeal made Wen Yi's wound very painful.

She quickly washed her hands and went to the props department to get her soft sword.

When Wen arrived, she happened to run into the props team leaving with Lin Manqing's assistant.

“The scene with Manqing is very important; there can be no problems with the action or the props.”

"The director meant that it was best not to use a stunt double, because there are many close-up shots in this scene, and using a stunt double would not produce the desired effect."

The props team and other staff were discussing things to keep in mind for Lin Manqing's upcoming fight scene with the Best Actor, which involved being suspended by wires.

Wen glanced at the props team and saw that no one was there, so she quickly stopped the staff.

"Hello, I'm Wen Ge's assistant. Wen Ge has a fight scene after Sister Man Qing that requires her to use a soft sword. I'm here to get the props. Wen Ge needs to practice beforehand."

The props team frowned as they watched Wen Yi, clearly displeased that he had stopped them.

The film crew is now divided into powerful factions.

Lin Manqing and Wen Ge were both targeting each other, openly and secretly. At this moment, the props staff member was clearly on Lin Manqing's side, and was very impatient with Wen Yi's request to Wen Ge.

"It's inside. You'll see it as soon as you go in. Just take it and register at the door." He pointed casually.

Without waiting for Wen Yi to understand, she and the staff were about to leave.

Halfway there, a props staff member immediately turned around and said, "By the way, the soft sword is at the door. Don't forget to go inside. It's something Sister Manqing needs for the wire work later. If you touch it and something happens, you'll be held responsible!"

The last sentence clearly carries a chilling warning.

Wen glanced at it, then walked toward the props department without any emotion.

The props team was initially worried, but Lin Manqing was pressing them hard, leaving little time for preparations.

After dealing with the past, it's time to deal with Lin Manqing. She's about to go to the theater, so there's no time to waste here.

The props staff took one last look, still feeling uneasy, but ultimately left with the other staff members.

Following the instructions of the props team, Wen Yi looked for the soft sword near the entrance, but couldn't find it after searching around. Finally, she found it quite inside and went straight in.

After taking the software, Wen Yi glanced back at the staff as she left, watching them prepare for Lin Manqing's wire work.

Wen Yi sighed, walked over, lowered his head, stroked the imposing tool, fastened a clasp on something, and then left.

When Wen Yi arrived at Wen Ge's dressing room, Wen Ge was not there; she had gone to do an interview.

She put the soft sword aside and sat down to wait.

Having been frozen yesterday and with a wound on her arm, Wen Yi's mental state wasn't very good. Now that Wen Ge wasn't around, Wen Yi wanted to take a good rest.

Unfortunately, Wen Ge specifically asked her to come, so she won't give her that opportunity.

Wen Yi had only been sitting down for a short while when Wen Ge pushed open the door and walked in.

Wen Yi pointed with her chin to the soft sword on the table. "I've already taken the item. The director said you can go to the back to make contact. There will be a martial arts assistant with you to ensure your safety and to ask you questions."

"I think it would be better to look at what the seniors are doing than to practice blindly." Wen Ge didn't even look at the soft sword.

Wen Yi's face remained expressionless.

Wen Ge said, "Sister, will you come with me? Sister Manqing is about to have a wire stunt scene with the movie star. I want to see how the senior does it and have a good learning opportunity. Otherwise, you know, the director of this movie has very high requirements."
