Wen Ge shook her head, her smile undiminished, and even joked, "Seeing Young Master Gu makes me so happy that I cried tears of joy."
Gu Zeyu was amused.
Wen's mother watched the interaction between the two with great satisfaction.
He looked at Wen Yishi with a warning look in his eyes.
Wen Yi understood what her mother meant.
She wanted Wen Yi to see just how sweet the interactions between Wen Ge and Gu Zeyu were, and that she was just a third party.
"Young Master Gu, I'll leave Wen Ge to you for now. I have some things to take care of at home, so I'll take Wen Yi back first," said Wen's mother.
Wen Yi caught a glimpse of Gu Huaixu's figure flashing past the doorway and hurriedly said, "I'm not leaving."
Wen's mother was shocked by Wen Yi's straightforward rejection.
Wen Yi said, "Mother, you go first. I want to stay with my sister."
Wen's mother was furious and glared at Wen Yi, but she couldn't lash out because Gu Zeyu was present.
Wen Ge quickly took Wen Yi's arm and said innocently, "I'm so happy to have my sister with me."
"It's getting late, let's go," Gu Zeyu reminded them.
At this point, Wen's mother couldn't say much and could only watch helplessly as Wen Yi followed Wen Ge away.
Frustrated, Wen's mother secretly pinched Wen Yi.
Wen felt a pain, but remained silent.
As Wen Ge and Wen Yi left the ward and walked downstairs, they naturally stood with Gu Zeyu, 'ignoring' Wen Yi. Soon, Wen Yi walked behind the two of them.
Gu Huaixu rubbed his hands in his pockets and calmly followed behind the three people.
Wen Yi deliberately slowed down, waiting for Gu Huaixu to catch up, and the two walked side by side.
