Chapter 24 What makes you think you can compare to Wen Ge?

"It's yours, it ...."

Wen Yi reached out and hugged Gu Huaixu's neck, murmuring something to herself.

"Then, sister... how about not marrying Gu Zeyu?" Gu Huaixu said, holding Wen Yi in his arms.

Wen Yi, who was nestled in his arms, suddenly opened her eyes.

Feeling lost and guilty, "Ah Xu..."

Wen Yi's voice became even more choked up.

Gu Huaixu hurriedly released Wen Yi, whose tears were already falling uncontrollably.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Gu Huaixu asked anxiously. "Don't be sad, I won't tell you, okay? Don't cry."

Wen shook her head, wanting to explain, but she couldn't hold back her tears.

I just can't control it.

Gu Huaixu gently wiped away her tears, coaxing her with kisses, "Don't cry."

His eyes were filled with heartache and anxiety.

Wen Yi sniffed, turned her head to another direction, and wiped away the tears on her face.

"I'm fine." She tried to control her emotions.

"Wen Yi." He called her by her full name, but his tone was incredibly gentle.

Wen Yi composed herself and faced Gu Huaixu again, smiling brightly, "I'm fine, I just..."

I feel very sad and regretful.

Wen Yi hugged Gu Huaixu again, "Ah Xu, let's not fight anymore, okay? Let's cherish our little time together, alright?"

Gu Huaixu hugged Wen Yi and said, "Okay."

Wen Yi closed her eyes and hugged him tightly.

But the embrace only lasted a few minutes; Wen Yi didn't hold him for long.

If you hug it for too long, you'll be too reluctant to let go.

"It's getting late, I'll head back now. Come pick me up tomorrow night."

Wen Yisong opened Gu Huaixu's door.

Gu Huaixu nodded, "I'll take you."

"No need, I drove here."

Wen got up and walked outside.

Gu Huaixu followed Wen Yi quietly, without saying a word.

As Wen Yi entered the elevator, the doors slowly closed, and he stood there quietly, his eyes downcast, like an abandoned child.

This made Wen think of something.

When she was a child, she was sent to her hometown. Her parents rarely came back. Every time they did, they would have a quick meal, give her some money, and then get on the bus and leave.

Wen Yi threw a tantrum a few times, but her parents would push her away and get into the car. Their eagerness to get rid of her made Wen Yi obediently watch them many times afterward, and she no longer dared to make a fuss.

Wen closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down.

She drove back to the Wen family home.

It was already 2 a.m., and the Wen family home was completely quiet.

Wen Yi parked the car in the garage and had just stepped into the living room when the lights suddenly turned on, causing extreme discomfort to Wen Yi's eyes.

She blocked the light source with her hand, closed her eyes, and rested for a while.

"Sister, how could a girl like you run away from home in the middle of the night without your family's knowledge?"

Xia Xiaomeng's sarcastic voice was in my ear.

Wen Yi has always had a good temper, but whenever he sees Xia Xiaomeng or hears her voice, he is reminded of the despicable and vile ways Xia Xiaomeng uses to treat girls, and he cannot control his repulsion and disgust.

Wen Yi was never a saint, but Xia Xiaomeng's behavior crossed her bottom line.

The girl who was beaten at Miss that night is still in a coma in the hospital.

Wen Yi silently clenched her fist, lowered her hand that was covering her eyes, and looked up at Xia Xiaomeng, who was coming downstairs in her pajamas.

“Miss Xia, this is my home, and it’s none of an outsider’s business to tell me where I come and go. Besides…” Wen Yi’s voice was a little cold, “Miss Xia, don’t you think it’s very impolite to be a guest in someone else’s home and wander around in inappropriate pajamas?”

"Or is it that... Miss Xia simply lacks proper upbringing?"

Xia Xiaomeng wanted to retaliate, but Wen's few words made her so angry that her face turned red.

How come this seemingly taciturn and foolish young lady can speak so sharply?

Wen Yi's expression remained unchanged, coldly stating, "I now know that Miss Xia lacks manners, and I understand her impolite behavior. I will teach you in the future, Miss Xia had better be more obedient."

"Who do you think you are to lecture me?" Xia Xiaomeng blurted out without thinking, provoked. "Everyone knows you're not favored in the Wen family, treated like a servant, even serving as Wen Ge's shoe-carrying assistant. And you're putting on airs like a rich young lady in front of me?"

Even if these words were true, they should have been kept in mind. But Xia Xiaomeng was too angry. She felt that someone like Wen Yi shouldn't have left her speechless!

"Did Wen Ge say these things to you?" Wen Yi asked in return.

Xia Xiaomeng proudly raised her chin, "Who doesn't know this? Only you think you're the eldest daughter of the Wen family, but everyone else knows that the Wen family only has one daughter named Wen Ge. Your name is just Wen Yi, which is very casual. What makes you think you can compare to Wen Ge?"

Wen smiled.

It was more like laughing in anger.

Not only her parents thought she was inferior to Wen Ge, but the whole world was saying that she was inferior to Wen Ge.

Seeing Wen Yi's behavior, Xia Xiaomeng felt that she had provoked him, so she became more and more arrogant, raised her chin, and walked up to Wen Yi.

"I'll teach you how to be a decent human being first!"

After Xia Xiaomeng finished speaking, she raised her hand to hit Wen Yi, but her hand was accurately grabbed by Wen Yi as it fell, and Xia Xiaomeng slapped herself in the face with a backhand.

The sound of the slap was so loud that it could be heard on the second floor.

When Wen Yi was surprised by Xia Xiaomeng's actions, Xia Xiaomeng had already taken a step back, her eyes red and covering her face.

"Sister, I'm not nagging you, I'm just concerned about where you went so late, what's wrong with you..."

She choked up and couldn't speak.

When Wen looked up, she saw Wen Ge and her mother at the top of the stairs on the second floor.

He instantly understood Xia Xiaomeng's behavior.

Sure enough, they'll only ever do such despicable things.
