Chapter 8 Gu Huaixu climbs into Wen Yi's room

As Wen Yi sat in the car on her way back to the Wen family home, she pondered the development of her relationship with Gu Huaixu.

It all started with a drunken impulse that led to sleeping with the wrong person, and now it's getting more and more complicated.

The car arrived at the Wen family's residence.

Wen Yi paid the fare and got out of the car, already having new plans for her future with Gu Huaixu.

But right now, I need to take care of things at home first.

"Wen Yi!"

As soon as Wen Yi stepped into the house, he heard his father's angry rebuke.

He stood up from the sofa, clearly having waited for Wen Yi for a long time. His eyes were filled with anger as he grabbed a cup from the table and smashed it over her shoulder.

Wen instinctively dodged, and the cup shattered at her feet.

"You dare to hide!"

This behavior clearly angered his father, who rushed forward, grabbed Wen Yi's arm, and dragged him to the study on the first floor.

"Prepare for family discipline!"

Wen's father shouted at the door and then threw Wen Yi to the ground.

Wen Yi lost control of her body and fell backward, her head hitting the table behind her hard, causing her to see stars from the pain.

The mother stepped in carrying the Wen family's family discipline ruler.

"Kneel down!" the father commanded.

Wen was still in a daze when the butler pressed Wen Ge to kneel down beside him.

Wen looked up at her parents and tried to explain for the first time, "Wen Ge wasn't harmed by me, it was her own fault..."

'Smack!'

The mother slapped Wen Yi's lip with a ruler, silencing any further explanations Wen Yi might offer.

Red marks appeared on Wen Yi's fair face, and her lips were cut and bleeding.

Wen Yi's lips trembled in pain.

The mother's hand trembled with anger as she held the ruler. "I shouldn't have given birth to you. Our family has never had a moment's peace since you were born. You've always caused me trouble and made things difficult for me!"

"How many times have I told you? Haicheng is not a place for a fool like you. Wen Ge's marriage into the Gu family will make the Wen family's status in Haicheng completely different from what it used to be. You insist on interfering and ruining Wen Ge's future!"

“I admit you’re stupid, but I’ll tell you plainly: help Wen Ge marry into the Gu family, and you’ll marry into the Royal Garden in her place. Once Wen Ge gains power in the Gu family, do you think she’ll forget your kindness in marrying in her place? You’ll be able to rise to the top with her and enjoy wealth and luxury. Don’t you understand?”

Wen's mother was furious, and her words were filled with intense disappointment and disappointment: "Wen Yi, Wen Yi, you are truly a short-sighted person!"

"Difficult to bring to the table"

As Wen's mother scolded him, she struck Wen Yi's body with a ruler again and again.

Wen's mother was extremely ruthless, but Wen Yi's pain wasn't in his body, but in the foot-long cut on his face!

She gritted her teeth, remaining silent and not shedding a single tear.

Wen's mother was exhausted from hitting him.

"Alright," Mr. Wen said. "Wen Yi, I hope you can remember this lesson. Don't interfere with your sister's marriage with Young Master Gu next time. Heaven is watching what people do. Be kinder."

"Kindness? Her conscience has long been eaten by dogs... No, you're not only heartless, you're also stupid. Someone as foolish as you should experience the consequences. Let's see what you'll do without Wen Ge!"

The mother poked Wen Yi's head, still seething with anger, "I really don't know how I gave birth to such a stupid thing like you. I should have listened to your aunt and thrown you in the trash..."

'Knock knock knock'

There was a knock on the study door.

The butler opened the door and reported, "Sir, Madam, Young Master Gu has arrived and is in the reception room."

"Young Master Gu?" Mrs. Wen looked surprised and exchanged a glance with Mr. Wen.

"Young Master Gu said that what happened at the restaurant today was a misunderstanding, and he came to explain because he was afraid that the master and madam would make things difficult for Miss."

Upon hearing this, Wen's mother looked at Wen Yi with disgust, "You used your sister to get Young Master Gu to pay attention to you, and you're actually quite cunning at a time like this."

Wen Yi didn't respond, but just quietly looked at the doorway.

She didn't expect that Gu Zeyu would still choose to come over in the end.

I wonder if Gu Huaixu came along...

"Young Master Gu wants to see Miss Wen," the butler reminded her, noticing the injuries on Wen Yi's face.

Wen's mother frowned and stared at Wen for a long time. "Get her a mask."

Wen's father stood in front of Wen Yi and warned, "Tell Young Master Gu that your mother is taking you to visit your aunt. Tell him to go back and not to say too much."

Wen Yi didn't respond, and her father impatiently scolded, "Did you hear what I said?"

"I understand," Wen Yi replied.

"Don't presume to say anything more," the mother warned.

Wen Yi simply nodded.

She knew very well that only by giving such a response could this matter be put to an end.

Five minutes later.

Wen Yi changed her clothes and appeared in the living room wearing a mask.

She glanced around the living room and was slightly disappointed when she realized that only Gu Zeyu had come.

"Why are you wearing a mask?" Gu Zeyu stood in front of Wen Yi, expressing his confusion.

"I'm getting ready to go out. My mother is taking me to visit my aunt who is sick," Wen Yi explained.

"Has your family made things difficult for you?"

"No, Wen Ge explained it very clearly, it's fine," Wen Yi replied.

"That's good." Gu Zeyu breathed a sigh of relief. "I was planning to go back, but I was still worried. After all, you're not good at explaining yourself, and you don't say a word when you're wronged. That's not good."

"Thank you, Young Master Gu, but I'm fine. I have to go out later..."

"Then I won't bother you any longer." Gu Zeyu was mature and gentlemanly, and knew his place. "Tell your parents I'll be leaving now... Oh, by the way, remember to accept my WeChat request."

Wen nodded and escorted Gu Zeyu to the door.

When she turned around, she found her parents sitting on the second floor, watching her conversation with Gu Zeyu to prevent Wen Yi from saying anything she shouldn't.

Wen Yi spoke according to their wishes, clearly to please his parents.
