As Su Yang spoke, he grabbed Ren Lingxi's soft and boneless little hand and walked towards the main hall in the yard.
The creepy BGM all around never stops. The sound is like the spatial audio of Bluetooth headphones. No matter how you turn around, it will always linger in your ears.
Although the background noise is not loud, it still makes people feel creepy.
Combined with the desolate background of the countryside in the 1970s and 1980s late at night, it is really a bit scary.
However, Su Yang knew very well that this was just a set-up. He had always been brave and now had outstanding physical fitness. He was not afraid even if there were one or two real guys mixed in.
This is what is meant by "the more skilled you are, the bolder you are."
The two of them walked quickly to the dilapidated wooden door of the yard. The door was ajar. Su Yang tilted his head and looked at the gap.
The inside was also pitch black and nothing could be seen.
Even though his eyesight is now better than that of an ordinary person, he still can't see clearly.
He subconsciously reached out and knocked on the door: "Is anyone inside?"
"Brother Su Yang, don't scare me. Isn't this an uninhabited village? How could there be someone here?"
"What if there are other NPCs? Ignore them for now and go in and take a look."
Su Yang said as he pushed the door open and walked in.
Ren Lingxi took out the flashlight from her messenger bag and said, "Brother Su Yang, I have a flashlight."
"What? Why didn't you take out the flashlight earlier?"
"I... forgot~"
"Okay, but why don't I have one?"
"I think we girls are the only ones who have a flashlight in our bags."
"Yeah, it should be. Come, give it to me."
"Okay~" Ren Lingxi handed the flashlight to Su Yang.
Su Yang took the silver old-fashioned flashlight and turned on the switch, and suddenly a beam of yellow light shot out.
However, the light is rather dim and it is difficult to illuminate the surrounding environment.
Su Yang looked around the room and saw that it was just an ordinary old-style hall.
There is a square wooden table in the middle of the room, with four benches placed in the four directions. Behind the table, there is an altar under the dusty wall.
There was a plate of apples and two extinguished incense sticks on the altar.
"Let's go." The two walked into the house.
As soon as I entered the house, a dim yellow light flashed in a dark room on the right, like a candle blown by the wind.
"Who?" Su Yang quickly turned his head and looked towards the house on the right.
Ren Lingxi stayed close to Su Yang the whole time, not daring to breathe.
"Damn, didn't that NPC just say that this house doesn't belong to the Zhao family?"
“Ahem!”
"Ahem~"
As they were talking in a low voice, an old man coughed suddenly from the room on the right.
Su Yang and Ren Lingxi were startled instantly.
"Ah, who is it?" Ren Lingxi shouted while hiding behind Su Yang.
Su Yang shone the flashlight towards the room on the right, and suddenly, a hunched figure slowly walked out from behind the wall.
"What the hell??!"
"Who are you!!"
"Why did you two young friends come here uninvited?" A hunched figure came out with a cane.
Su Yang shone his flashlight at the man and thought to himself, "Oh my god, this must be another NPC. Damn, I got scared."
"Sorry to bother you so late at night, sir. We came to the village for a stroll and got lost."
"Are you here to look for someone?" The old man lowered his head slightly, and only half of his face above the nose could be seen.
Su Yang nodded and said, "Yes, may I ask if you know where the Zhao family is?"
"Zhao family?"
"Oh, I see. The Zhao family is one of the six major families in our village. If you walk out of my backyard and go straight along the road, you will see the Zhao family."
"Okay, sir. Where do I enter the backyard?"
"The backyard is located through the door behind the house on the left."
"Okay, then we won't disturb you. It's so late, you should go to bed early~"
As Su Yang said this, he was ready to pull Ren Lingxi away from here.
But just as he took a step, the volume of the BGM lingering in his ears suddenly became louder, and a white light flashed in the room.
A 'person' with his upper body naked and lying on the ground in a strange posture suddenly appeared at the door of the room on the left side of the main hall.
"Ahhh!" Ren Lingxi was frightened when she saw this and screamed again and jumped onto Su Yang.
Su Yang was also startled by this sudden appearance of "person". He hurriedly hugged Ren Lingxi and took a few steps back.
A flash of white light passed by, and the old man shouted at the door on the left: "Little beast! Go back!!"
"What?"
"Don't be afraid, my two friends. That was my grandson~"
"Your...grandson?"
"Hey, I'm sorry to scare you. He must have been attracted by you. Please wait for me to burn some incense for my grandson before leaving."
The old man walked slowly to the altar with a cane and began to light incense.
Although Su Yang knew that these were all fake, he would subconsciously immerse himself in this environment.
He shone the flashlight at his grandson who had just been lying on the ground, but the guy had disappeared.
The old man quickly lit the incense, shook it, and inserted it into the incense burner on the table, then bowed again.
Swish!
Suddenly, another flash of white light appeared outside the house.
Boom!!!
After the white light disappeared, a very real thunder sound was heard.
"Oh my god? That sounds real."
"It's going to rain again. Why don't you two rest here for a night before leaving?"
Su Yang shook his head and refused: "Uh... No, no, it's a bit creepy for you to live here. If your grandson suddenly appears in front of me while I'm sleeping, I probably won't be able to help but squeeze him to death..."
