"You've come to ask me for a third badge?"
The boy's long legs were crossed and bent, his left elbow rested on the car window armrest, his upper body slightly leaning forward, and his palm lazily supporting his chin.
His deep, dark eyes glanced indifferently out the car window.
Fu Zhu shook his head, his voice low: "I am not here to bother you, sir, for this matter."
Yan Chiyu's gaze fell on the slender, white jade-like hand that was holding Lu Shu's wrist, and his thin lips moved slightly: "Get in the car."
The black sedan continued moving forward.
"Lu Shu, when are you going back?" Although Wu Yue said he disliked Lu Shu and didn't care whether he came back or not, he could tell that they had developed some feelings for each other over the days they had spent together.
"Lord Yan, please wait a little longer, I still have things to finish." Lu Shu lowered his head, his voice low and muffled.
There are still some things he wants to know.
This was the first time Yan Chiyu had met Fuzhu. He was indeed a gentle and refined person, but he had too many things on his mind.
He could see the faint bluish tinge between Fuzhu's brows; it was a knot in his heart.
"Lord Yan, I have come here hoping that you can take Lu Shu away and let him return to Miss Wu Yue's side."
Upon hearing this, Yan Chiyu understood.
It turned out that Lu Shu had been lingering and refusing to leave, which was why he hadn't returned. Fu Zhu, however, showed no intention of punishing the spy, nor did he display any displeasure.
Yan Chiyu gazed at Lu Shu with a calm and composed look. "I don't need to take him. If he wants to, he will go back on his own."
"I'm not going back! I absolutely won't leave until things are cleared up." Lu Shu probably didn't expect how resistant her expression was. "Fu Zhu, tell me the answer first."
The white shirt was wrinkled by Lu Shu's tugging, but the boy stood ramrod straight, his eyes slightly lowered, his emotions inscrutable: "Lord Yan, thank you for your trouble."
"I can help you, but first tell me what's going on between you and Wu Tingyun?"
"Please rest assured, Lord Yan, I will not devour Xiao Ting's soul. The legend is true, but I will not do it."
"Fuzhu!"
Before Lu Shu could grab his clothes, Fu Zhu left behind his last words and disappeared from the carriage without a trace; not even his scent could be smelled in the air.
"..."
Yan Chiyu quietly looked at Lu Shu and noticed that the guy's usual cheerful expression was gone, and he seemed rather deep and depressed.
"What's wrong?" Out of respect for Wu Yue, Yan Chiyu asked with concern.
Lu Shu pouted, hesitated, and said in a flustered and confused manner, "Lord Yan, I'm trapped in Xiao Wuyue's villa... It seems to be related to Fuzhu. But he refuses to say anything, always saying it has nothing to do with me and that I'm being unreasonable."
Lu Shu felt extremely wronged. "Where did I make a fuss? I just want to know the truth. During the more than ten years I lived in Xiao Wuyue's house, I lived in a daze every day. Although I ate well, my memory became more and more blurred... I don't remember what happened before, and I've forgotten why I was there."
Yan Chiyu rarely reached out and patted Lu Shu's shoulder, "I suggest you go back to Wu Yue's side first. Perhaps she can help you recover your memories."
"Really?!" Lu Shu's eyes flashed with surprise. "Yes, Xiao Wuyue couldn't see me before, but one day she was finally able to see me again. Did she awaken some kind of ability? Maybe she can help me."
The boy paused, a thought flickering in his mind.
